Incredible value, so many options, easy to get around, all things you could want. Costco is goated. Recently, I had an amazing experience with Costco with their online ordering too. You can schedule a drop off (give a date, time, and address) and they'll send you text updates once they have someone working on your order, as well as when you can expect them to arrive. The live updates are super helpful. We also were buying food to feed 10 people for our trip, so we went with a Costco order and it was soooo affordable once split across us all. I've purchased Blizzaks for the car to be ready for winter, grocery shopping for all the bags of fruits veggies, rotisserie chicken, snacks, and today actually came when there were a lot of sample vendors on the floor! Ended up grabbing a box of the tempura shrimp from Kirkland brand! The samples were delish. Now for my favorite overall we like Sharon's facility, but the Dedham one has been good to us + they have Costco gas to fill up after doing your grocery shopping. Now I've never had luck getting Pokemon at Costco but maybe one day change? Costco has never failed me! This is my go-to Costco! This one has Costco Gas station, which has AMAZING prices. I always make sure to fill up here after doing some shopping, before hitting the road. I remember dreading going to Costco's as a kid but as an adult now, it brings me so much joy hahahaha. I've been making cold press juices lately at home & love buying fruits + vegetables in bulk from here... especially carrots, oranges, apples, & ginger. Things I usually buy from here include: $4.99 rotisserie chicken, fruits, frozen fruit, croissants, cases of water, meats, & salmon. I used to buy my milk from here but nowadays, I just go to Wegman's for that. Another great thing about Costco's that I would like to add, other than the great prices for things in bulk, is if you buy your tires from here, they offer complimentary lifetime tire rotations. PEPPERONI PIZZA I grabbed a whole pepperoni pizza during a casual Costco grocery run and could not believe how good it was. It genuinely rivals actual pizza restaurants. The crust had that beautiful contrast, crispy and slightly blistered on the outside while still keeping a soft, chewy center that made each bite feel substantial. It wasn't overly doughy or dense, just that perfect pizza-parlor texture you don't expect to find in a warehouse store. The cheese was generously layered, fully melted, and had that satisfying pull without turning oily or heavy. It complemented the sauce perfectly, which had a nice tang and just the right amount of seasoning to keep things flavorful without overpowering anything. The pepperoni really stole the show, thin BUT high quality, with those curled, crispy edges and a subtle char that added a smoky richness. Every slice had enough pepperoni to feel indulgent but not overwhelming, and the balance of meat, cheese, and crust was honestly spot-on. What shocked me most was how cohesive the whole pizza was. Nothing tasted frozen or mass-produced; it tasted like something you'd grab from a neighborhood pizza spot after craving something comforting. The Dedham location is my least favorite. It is always mobbed. There is always bad behavior in the parking lot (obstructing traffic to camp out for a spot), aggressive, etc. All the good things about costco generally are far outweighed by the logistics of actually shopping at this location. This location has a gas station which is good and is right by the mall which is convenient - but we rarely come here for anything except gas. read more

This review is based on the Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings I got from Costco. Definitely a 4/5 must get!!!! Not sure how many is in the bag but supposedly it serves 12-13 people. I'm thinking maybe 50? The flavor is definitely there. The outer layer and meat texture is amazing. My only complaint is that while in the process of cooking it (steamer), the bottom do rip so unfortunately the soup spills out. But when it doesn't, the burst of that soup , oh man, restaurant quality. Highly recommend making your own sauce. Soy sauce and sliced up ginger. A dash of sesame oil. I finally made it to Costco and the hype around their $1.50 hot dogs is real! The line was long, but the self-checkout was a lifesaver. I saw a lot of people ordering what looked like soft serve ice cream and I have to come back for it. The dog wasn't bad.. especially for a buck fifty! read more

Parking gridlock is the biggest issue here. This Costco is a nightmare trying to get in/out of. Too many crowded, lack of parking, and entrances/exits are stand still gridlock. No visible exit signs (that we could find). There should be a team of people directing traffic. Won't come here again. read more

I want to praise the woman who works in the Optical Centre. She is incredible. I went in today - Sunday - and forgot my prescription from the Costco optician, who was closed. Instead of telling me to come back another day - it is a drive- she went through my choices with me, made other suggestions. She took the time to advise me that I needed different lenses for distance than for computer work and also advised me on what they call transitions, lenses that can go darker. She said they would put aside my choices until I could find the scrip and return, or wait until the optician was open on Tuesday. I went home, found the scrip, and returned, and paid for the glasses. Never has anyone been so helpful. I far prefer Costco to my previous optometrist who was expensive and her staff were not helpful. What I am annoyed about, however, is that Costco has plenty of space on its website to submit complaints, but nothing for praise: that is really screwy thinking. How do you motivate staff if all they are likely to get is a complaint? read more

My first time ever shopping at a Costco and I was disappointed. My friends been raving about them for years and because I shop at BJs she's been trying to get me here forever. Today I finally went and let's just say it will most likely be my last visit. The customer service was poor in quality and I'm specifically speaking in regards to Cynthia with the glasses at Customer Service. The prices are high and low. The variety is amazing and you can definitely tell you're not in Boston. High Asian population and it's shows in the food selection. The checkout was okay but it's not until I'm paying that I'm told they do not accept Mastercard unless it's DEBIT. I use my various credit cards for points and cash back. It would have been good to know this before shopping here. Or have it displayed at the counter for newer shoppers like me. The service at the checkout was bland and rushed. I understand they're trying to get lines down all day, so you don't have to make small talk but please handle food better especially at the prices they are. Way before the coronavirus hit. 2020 shall thus be known as the year that Costco converted their food court to members only (announced in February, effective 3/16/2020), Covid-19 hit the United States, and that Costco temporarily limited entrance to two per membership card (effective 4/3/2020) to assist with social distancing during the pandemic. Costco is where we buy our milk, eggs, yogurt, avocados. We like their pharmacy. They offer a well priced basic yet tasty sheet cake (which was big news when they discontinued selling it in late June). And their rotisserie chicken is popular with good reason. In addition to shopping in person, Costco offers online shopping with a same day option via Instacart, or 2 day delivery from their warehouse. During COVID-19, however, it has become more like 5 and 14+ days, respectively by mid to late April. Two Day charges $3 per item, but removes the delivery charge when you reach $75 in your cart. Once you are done ordering, you can't add anything, only subtract. Same Day has a $35 minimum to order. Instacart makes their money through the price difference. We felt their prices were 20-30% more than regular store prices. When you place the order, suggested tip option starts at 5%. After delivery, when you are asked to rate the service, you have an opportunity to raise your tip. Till your shopper begins shopping for you, amendments to your cart is allowed. HUBCAP THEFT IN TIRE CENTER. What a crooked setup. I brought in my Prius for 4 new tires. 2 hubcaps had been ripped off the day before in the next door paring lot; a third had been stolen a year ago. These guys were running 2 hours behind schedule and when they finally brought my car out, the remaining hubcap was missing! The front desk guy Bob denied this until I accused them of theft; then miraculously, someone rapidly located and replaced the hubcap. No one would accept responsibility for "forgetting" to put the hubcap on and even the Costco manager Mr Reed maintained it was just an oversight. Seriously - how can certified car techs who spend all day replacing tire "forgot" to replace a hubcap?!! read more

Good. Purchased a microwave. Unit is fabulous. Store sent fabulous plumbers to install. Awful!!! Just purchased a new gas dryer LG to accompany an LG washer we just purchased. This has been a disaster! Clown show, s$&@t show. You choose. Ordering on line. No way to get in touch short of an elaborate phone tree...learned after it went South. They scheduled a Saturday delivery. Stated the drop off would be followed by a plumber to connect. Drop off team stated that the plumber was following them by about 1/2 an hour. 2-3 hours later we get a call from the plumber stating that he had called me during the week to say he did NOT work on Saturday. Absolutely NO record anywhere of such calls. Said he could be by Tuesday between 10-2. The machine was purchased with a reversible door. Important to my wife. Material on line implies the plumber will make this adjustment on installation. He arrives and first informs us the door switch needed to be done at the warehouse NOT by him. And he informs us that we need a new shut off and that the two feet of flexible pipe supplied by COSTCO is insufficient. $200. Unit connected. He runs it and states that it should be run and don't mind the smell, new machines need to burn off some of the oils. THANKFULLY, my wife goes into the basement 15 minutes or so later smells gas and shuts off the gas and calls the installing plumber. He shows up and tests his connections which appear sound. Bad LG machine. Needs to be returned and replaced. Through this entire fiasco there is NOBODY to speak with from COSTCO to get it right and make sure we get a sound machine with the door aligned the way my wife wishes. It has been a nightmare. With heroic persistence on my wife's part she has finally set up delivery of new machine and removal of impaired one. read more

Horrible.....and horrible. Everything was fine except just the shopping experience was absolutely shocking. Employees would block paths and some would not even stop to assist me as I asked them, they would just walk away. After checking out, I ordered a pizza and yet they took more than 20 minutes to get my order out. Then when I asked the person working in the kitchen, they would just simply look away and avoid me as if I was not there. Lastly, when I went to hand my receipt to get checked, they would not take it and just stare off leaning against the wall. After they took the receipt, the person held me in line and finally let me go. I wish someone from Costco could tell me why they don't add more cashiers. Is it matte of space? Saving money? I don't know. But I know that the next time will see the crazy lines as they had here last weekend, I will leave everything and go. To have 12 people ahead of you is something that just make you wonder if you should come here again. That is it for complains, now to the better side of Costco. As I am moving to Providence, one of the stops is Costco (Home Depot experience on a different review). So saved a lot of money. I love Costco! This is your typical location with full service optometry store, liquor store, bakery, food cafe, and photo store area. I recommend either coming here very early or late during the day near closing to beat the crowds or expect a long line when checking out and parking in the back of the parking lot. As an Asian-American I appreciate that this Costco has Asian products and merchandise during our holidays and especially around Chinese New Year. For example, they have Chinese sausage, Gingseng, and Jerky. This Costco is in a very prime in Dedham and it's very easy to access off the highway. Dedham seems a little far, but it's worth it because it's a very nice area! Right next door is Legacy Place which has a variety of upper end shopping and restaurants. read more

Gas station, non-Costco affiliated liquor store, Legacy shops, and right off 95. This Costco is great. Self checkout if you only have a few items. Bakery needs 24 hour notice but the choice is between white or chocolate with a good layer of buttercream in the middle and some sort of whipped topping for $18.99, great when you need a simple cake to feed 48 people. I feel like this Costco offers a few different things than the Waltham branch in terms of snacks and desserts. However, everything else remains consistent from the rotisserie chicken to the baked goods. Go early or go late. If you go during the day or on the weekends you're bound to have a headache fighting the crowds. Plenty of parking. Condiment station tends to run out at the end of the day with no refill. read more

Gas Station is a huge plus with prices rapidly rising I appreciate the savings sometimes 10+ cents a gallon of gas compared to other stations in the area. Past few years has been hard on retail and Costco has basically had everything I needed, I always leave with a cart full. I am confused as to why so many reviews about customer service are bad. I have always had excellent customer service as I always am polite to the Costco employees (or any employee or person for that matter) and treat them appropriately. I am pretty sure everyone who complains about poor customer service is receiving the same attention that they initially gave. JMO This Costco in Dedham has many rude customers I noticed, I feel bad for the employees and when I go there I cannot believe the ignorance, talk about people who need a reality check. I see people walking around as they are the only person in this big warehouse. Walking in front of you, stopping quick as the bananas are a flash sale and when they do this they give you a dirty look like you should not be in the way. I especially like the customers who leave shopping carts so EVERYONE can't get by. So very nice of you. Also when you say "sorry" 100x to people who you do this too throughout the store, please stop you are not "sorry" you are "ignorant" JMO I am not a Costco employee BTW. I was doing an Instacart delivery for a customer. Everything was good until checkout time. The cashier Walter was tossing the items and i explained already it's 2 separate orders for 2 separate customers. His customer service sucked, and I didn't feel welcomed. One of the orders went thru while the second didn't--which happens often doing instacart. I asked him to put it on hold while I contact customer service and he said he couldn't do that. ( I don't see why he couldn't no customers were behind me) So he got the manager Noemi she wasn't trying to listen she was hostile. She pulled my carriage off the floor.-- finally customer service fixed the problem and I was able to complete the order. How about this! When I asked the number to corporate Noemi didn't even want to give it to me! How are you a manager and you not are you leading by example like that but you don't even try to hear the customer or try to resolve the issue. read more

DO NOT use their tire service. I made a terrible mistake in doing that and it cost me thousands. They failed to secure my vehicle on the lift properly (one of the lift points was off) and smashed my air suspension compressor. $2,500 damage and they wouldn't acknowledge it, apologize or show me the video from the shop that would've shown the mistake. I knew it happened there because I've owned the vehicle since new and it has never had the compressor constantly purging and running before, as it was when they backed it out of the bay. They claim to care about their members and be 'customer first' but in this instance they showed the opposite. I wish I were able to tell you that they did the opposite, - apologized (accidents happen) and offered to take care of the damage. But no. So, avoid the Costco tire center and stick to their groceries only. It's save you in the long run. Oh, and if a Costco executive reads this I'd like to hear from them and to have them make me whole and apologize. I'd happily tell everyone about that rather than telling everyone about my experience. read more

The store, products, and prices are great but my god, the customer service is AWFUL at this location! Every single time I've been here, I've witnessed and have personally experienced employees being so rude and never helpful to their patrons. I've seen them yell at customers for overlooking the quantity limits on products or for not moving "fast enough" when paying. Tonight was definitely the last time I visit the location. I'm originally from FL and used to go to Costco with my mom but since moving to MA, she sends me Costco gift cards which you're able to use without having a membership. That's their policy and a great one because it gets non-members in the store to experience the magic of Costco so they sign up for a membership but I've never even been offered to sign up so ‍. I've never had a problem in the past but today the two cashiers and supervisor treated me like a complete criminal for shopping. I tried paying with the gift card but they said it didn't have a balance but I was certain it had at least $40 on it. Instead of calmly explaining to me what was going on, they began whispering right in front of me and threatened to void the $300 transaction because I didn't have a membership and my gift card had nothing on it. They then aggressively said that they would like let me pay but were going to throw away my card and I legit had to stop them as they were tossing it in the garbage because dude! I just told you there's money on it! WTF So, I went to the other customer service desk where they checked and verified that there wasn't a balance on it. I left super confused and when I got to the car I searched my wallet and found another Costco gift card that is likely the one that has money on it ... Totally my mistake but I really don't feel like it warranted that experience. A lot of assumptions were made and acted on and I felt so uncomfortable! While I was in the parking lot loading my car, the sweet lady that was behind me in line actually came up to me and said she's so happy I spoke up because she saw how rude they were being. People notice this stuff! Just be nice. Be understanding. Be empathetic. Furthermore, anyone who's in sales can see how they absolutely destroyed an opportunity to sell me a membership but I won't get into that. As I already mentioned, I personally won't be coming back to this location and am writing this review to give customers a heads up as to what to expect. Hopefully management also sees this and sets up some additional training for their staff. read more

Very bad service I left my car with them for fixing tire leak. They said come back in an hour. After 2 hours when i returned they said all done but didn't know the issue. I found that the issue was still not fixed. I went back to the tire center and reported the issue. Other mechanic said the car was not attended. I had to leave the car again and waiting outside. I took an elderly friend there to get hearing aids the price was very reasonable it was 1500 for just regular hearing aids that you have for just yourself and change the batteries etc. we paid 1800 and got the ones that was self adjusting as well as come with a battery charger that you put the be hearing aids in every night and then if she still having a little problems with them but they still have her keep coming back until their adjusted to what she feels comfortable the very kind and courteous to her she's an elderly person in her 80s so they're very understanding with nothing ever works first time and maybe lots of help. The charge on the battery stays for three days so God forbid the power should go out where she lives that they stay fully charged for her and she will have no problems from that point read more

This is our second Covid visit to Costco this spring. I was very pleased. They all wear masks. There is plastic shielding at checkout. There were wipes available. Two young men checking us in with gloves and masks. I think they were counting us. Supplies were good. The meat counter was full. I find I shop a lot less if I do a big shopping here. I am grateful that they are doing so well for those of us who really try no to catch it. read more
