This store is soooo messy things and clothes on the floor I almost tripped. And the restroom is the dirtiest one I've ever seen I walked in and walked out I had to open the door with my blouse it was full of who knows what. Toilet paper all over floor and walls and toilet so sick I wanted to vomit. When I went to the cashier i felt like I needed to bring it up. Oh my God going through the checkout line is honestly ridiculous I have social anxiety just being around a group of people makes me feel uncomfortable as it is! So I'm going to check online and the ladies literally not letting me leave because she wants to keep asking me and I want the God damn TJ Maxx rewards card if I have a problem with that, good morning until the lady told no like six or seven times and she just kept persisting and persisting. Honestly made me feel so uncomfortable that I just walked out like OMG forget it! I tell her it's okay I don't want a card because I don't have my physical ID she says okay well I could take a copy of it and then I show her that my phone is a new phone and I don't have the picture in this phone that I thought I did of my ID and then she says well it's okay we'll just guess all the dates and all that stuff as long as you know the ID number?!?! The cashiers I have interacted with at this location have always been SO RUDE. They take their sweet time during checkout and completely ignore the long line of customers. One of the rudest employees here (won't call her out- YOU'RE WELCOME) was too busy organizing hangers for 10 mins before calling a customer (me) that had been waiting in line forever. Didn't even greet me with friendliness or a smile. ***Tell me you hate your job without telling me you hate your job*** I left my crumbled up bag on the counter asking her to toss it for me after I did my return and she replied with "here's your bag" Are you kidding me? Can't be courteous enough to toss a tiny plastic bag for a customer? Don't even bother. I had simply come back in to check if I had left my phone, and one of the associates -- a girl with glasses, long hair and Latina . Her tone, her body language, the way she spoke to me... it felt like I was bothering her just for asking a simple question. There was no basic courtesy, no willingness to help -- just pure attitude. I genuinely left the store feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. What made it worse was that her coworker, who was standing nearby, was the total opposite: kind, understanding, and helpful. It really highlighted how unprofessional Lina's behavior was in comparison. If you're going to work in customer service -- especially in retail -- the bare minimum is to treat people with respect. If you're having a bad day, don't take it out on customers who did nothing wrong. Simple as that. This TJ max is closest to my home and it's pretty clean in certain sections but extremely messy in the others. I always find deals here on perfume home goods and shoes. I come pretty often just to snoop out clearance items since it's close to my job band in all those times I've stopped by I've probably only been greeted once. Customer service at the registers are okay. Occasionally you'll have a Debbie downer but it's cool. Nothing special at this location though. read more

I stopped at T J Maxx in Corona on McKinley St for the first time tonight. I wear oxygen have a carry-on machine and keep a backup battery in my car. I was enjoying this TJ Maxx because it was much nicer and more organized than the one I go to near my home. When I realized I ran out of oxygen I leaned up against a table full of Christmas ornaments until my friend noticed me. I learned how to purse lip breathe so I would be okay until I was helped quickly. Alex works at TJ Maxx, and she brought me a chair and helped me sit down. She was the sweetest person I've ever met while shopping, and I shop a lot. She kept an eye on me until my friend came back in with the extra battery we needed. He didn't bring any wipes. Alex ran to the front of the store and brought back the wipes. I could tell she was so caring and wanted to make the customers feel like she truly cared. I have run out of oxygen about ten times now, and not one time did I get the attention that a young lady named Alex gave me and kept giving me the rest of the time I was shopping. I tried to offer her money because she deserved it. She said no thank you. Store policy she isn't allowed to take money. I will never go back to the TJ Maxx that is near my house. I will drive the thirty minutes extra, because knowing that Alex is working there on Monday evenings that's when I will be shopping. It feels great to know that there are still human beings out there who really care about others. I will never forget Alex. She made me believe that there are still kind and caring people out there. I come to the jewelry section in all tj max stores and it's unfortunate their customer service is poor. I have to wait a long time to be greeted or noticed when the person is clearly not busy. When others come to help , they all seem unpleasant and annoyed. Jewelry is a mindful purchase, so when it's unpleasant due to customer service it's real discouraging. Especially when asking to see expensive pieces like gold. read more

During multiple visits as a (5-year customer), I've noticed a few abrupt findings about this particular location. First, the place seems to exercise a system of oppression amongst all social classifications of people, Hispanic males in specific. Immediately, I noticed 99% of their workers were females, rude females in fact, who seem to display a disliking for men that included (children, teenagers, & adults). I don't know whether there management is responsible for this sort of care, or they just enjoy displaying unsatisfactory and bias attitudes towards their male counterparts. But the sort of environment the workers create, make me feel uneasy as a male shopping here. I have never been greeted at the front door, nor have I been properly farewelled upon exiting the building. But all the woman in the store seem to be greeted with courteous attitudes and gestures all the time. For example, during my shopping experience today, I was not greeted by its employees. Secondly, as I left, there was a female employee standing near the front door who rudely stared at me as I exited the building. And waited until I fully exited the building, to say "goodbye" in a rude manner. I am never helped when inquiring about a particular item, nor do any of my request seem to be fulfilled. I've noticed this among myself and other male counterparts shopping in the store. In sum, the place does not seem to welcome males, nor does it create a welcoming environment for them. This place seems to exercise sexism to a great extent. I typically feel inferior in my sex shopping here. Note: I am also writing this review as a past and current opinion of the business. PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS I want to note that, up until tonight, I have never had a negative experience at this tj maxx, let alone any location. I rated 2 stars so that maybe this review will get a little more attention... My fiancé & I were shopping at this location tonight in search of a new band for my apple watch. After making my purchase, I wanted to look at the jewelry real quick (I have been on the hunt for a new silver chain). While approaching the jewelry displays & starting to casually look at what was there, the worker immediately stopped what she was doing & went out of her way to lock each case that I was looking at (note: not even close to closing time either)... as If what? I was going to hop over the counter and take what was in there??? Mind you, no acknowledgment of me as a potential consumer, no "Hi, would you like to look at something?" Truthfully, no simple act of customer service at all, just ignored me completely. I have never been greeted like this before at the jewelry section (and I have made my fair share of jewelry purchases from tj maxx) Honestly, I was bothered after that & immediately told my fiancé we should go... shortly after I try the new watch band on & it does not fit my wrist well so we go back to return it & I stop at the jewelry section again ( this time, truthfully, not with the intention to make a purchase, but to see how this woman would treat me as a potential customer.) Yet again, I am completely ignored... she was assisting other customers when I first went over there & being friendly and helpful with each one that I witnessed. After they all had left & she was finished assisting other costumers, she STILL made absolutely no effort to even acknowledge me, she truthfully did not even look at me until I finally, politely mind you, asked her if I could see a necklace & bracelet. She was just blatantly and unnecessarily rude throughout the whole interaction: avoiding eye contact, CROSSING HER ARMS & displaying an obvious annoyed attitude while I was literally just looking at jewelry... acting as if I was a burden or a nuisance. Likewise, while "helping me" if you can even call it that, she honestly kept completely disregarding me and turning her head towards another costumer that was also looking at the jewelry, when she never ONCE paid any sort of attention to me while she was helping other costumers, or at all really. Her entire attitude & demeanor was significantly different towards me, compared to everyone else I saw her help... and I just could not understand why... My brain tried to rationalize it, because I just had never experienced such blatant rudeness before so I thought "okay maybe she just didn't take me seriously as a costumer, so why waste her time" which one, is no excuse to treat a costumer the way she treated me & two, made no logical sense, because, (not trying to sound arrogant at all) but at the time I was wearing several pieces of jewelry that were of very high quality.. so why not take me seriously? Then I realized it... this women was deliberately expressing homophobia. It all made sense... I was there with my female fiancé, one could say my physical appearance was more masculine than the average constructed feminine norm. In other words, yes, I was an obvious & open gay human being & was treated immensely different because of it. I guess I have been privileged & lucky to have never experienced this sort of prejudice before. Which is why I am right this novel of a review, so that hopefully no one has to feel what I felt tonight. I wish I had gotten this women's name, but all I know is that she is blonde, older, sounded like she may have had some sort of accent when talking, worked in the jewelry department & was without a doubt homophobic. I called management afterwards, which is something I have NEVER done, and the lady I spoke to was amazing. I really hope this review does not come off in a "Karen" "can I speak to your manager?!!" Hire another jewelry associate, every single time we come to the TJ Maxx in Corona we are treated horribly by the same cashier. She is never kind and never is helpful. Usually we ignore it but today was ridiculous. While waiting to be assisted with some jewelry the cashier ignored us and helped two other customers before us. She did not ask if we needed help afterwards even though we were standing there and staring at her. We had to ask her several times before she finally assisted. When she did she was rude when showing jewelry, was not listening to which piece we wanted, and in the middle of helping us out she left to assist another customer. She let us know she'd be right back so we waited, when she was done she helped another customer instead of coming back to help us. At this point I asked a passing associate to call another cashier to the jewelry section. Once they sent over another associate the transaction went smooth as can be. At this point I asked for a manager and spoke with Chelsea, she listened to my feed back but honestly don't feel this will be addressed. Not going to be shopping at TJMaxx for quite some time, and when I do it will NOT be at the Corona location. read more

Came here to kill time while waiting for our table at Gen Korean BBQ next door. We found a kayak for $200 amongst other cool gadgets, clothing and homeware. Prices were decent and the store was overall clean with better quality stuff than Ross. I'd recommend stopping in if you're in the area and need something for your new apartment or home and that includes kitchenware also! I really hate to writing reviews but when I feel discriminated against I feel it's a pretty good reason to write one. I went into this store to return an item I had got as a gift for Christmas. The return process was easy and the women who helped me was really nice. However as I started shopping around the manager of the store started following me. Normally this doesn't bother me but if every corner I turn your watching me it really becomes aggravating. I don't know if it's the way I look or what I was wearing today but I felt very disrespected and rushed. I will never be returning to this store again. I've never had this problem at Marshals so I'm going to just stick with them. Never again! The manager of this store is rude and not customer service oriented. My daughter paid for her stuff was walking out and opening her chocolate. All 4 chocolates fell on the ground and this man I assume to be the manager was there all he said was "trash is out side". what a jerk. I'm a Maxinista! I absolutely love TjMaxx and I shop at many other locations every week. I have been to so many TjMaxx locations and by far this is the worst! First of all the merchandise is all over the place, unorganized just a huge MESS! And they have very very little selections in every department. Customer service sucks. Most of these poor reviews expand on poor customer service due to the store treating them like criminals. I used to work at this store, so I understand why the client feels this way; management heavily stresses security, but not customer service. They also do not properly train their employees to handle situations, nor do they do much on the job training. All of the poor reviews really reflect on management. I disagree with the negative feedback. This store is always super clean. I go to this store several times a month to the point that I know people by name there. From day one,I have always received excellent customer service. I've delt with a Christina, Emily, Warren, and I believe an Ashley and all of them have been so nice! This store gets great merchandise and wish they would get more! You can tell the employees care about this store, it is always neat and clean. This location is by far the MOST ORGANIZED TJ MAXX anywhere. I've been coming here for years. It's Always clean and every employee is so friendly. I've brought a few girlfriends here that live as far as Temecula, and and they all say they make the commute to come to this one. This is the store that you want to avoid when you have a return with the recipt they always gave me a hard time when I'm trying to return something and treat me like a criminal. They always give me an excuse of the item it's not matching the product. Which when I take the same item and take it to a different store. They serve me with a smile. This corona store needed to be investigated because it's really bad for business. This is not the only time I came here and got treated the same like a trash. This is the worst TJ maxx ever. It is not clean at all. It's extremely disorganized and no one wears their mask. I feel unsafe here especially when I walk by other customers with their mask under their nose and the associates do nothing about it. The workers are very nice but you can tell the managers enslave them at the front with aggressively cleaning carts and counting people in. I would not recommend shopping here.
