I was initially sized for a custom tux shirt early June 2024 for my wedding on July 26, 2024. I paid $300 for the shirt. The shirt was not ready until August 8 and the shirt did not fit correctly. I knew there was a chance the shirt wouldn't be ready in time, however, I was told by Dash's that it was possible. I ended up purchasing a shirt from Brooks Brothers for my wedding that fit perfectly without any alterations needed. There was a major issue with the upper button/section of the shirt that you wouldn't expect from a custom shirt. I took the shirt back to Dash's on October 12 and the owner Victor assured me that they would get it fixed. On November 2, I returned to the store after being told the shirt was ready. When I arrived at the store, Victor told me there was a mistake and the shirt wasn't ready. He said they would have to send it back to the manufacturer. I did not hear back from the store until January 8, 2025 - in which I received a text letting me know that the shirt was ready and that they've been trying to get in contact with me. Prior to this, I never received a call or text with an update. Nonetheless, I proceeded to go back to the store to pickup the shirt, only for Victor to tell me it wasn't ready. He told me that there's a piece he was looking for on amazon and other sites that he couldn't find. He went on to ask me to look for that piece as well. Then he alluded to my height as being an issue. Mind you, Victor is an inch taller than me. Not only that, it was a custom shirt. So that's a poor excuse. At this point, I am frustrated because I paid $300 for a custom shirt that wasn't done correctly. Till this day, I have yet to receive the shirt. I've requested a refund and Victor refuses to give me one. His reasoning - "they are a small business." There has been no attempt to make things right by resizing for a shirt, or offering me anything to make up for the mishap. I've attached two pictures showing the issue with the shirt.

I was leaving for my wedding on April 23rd, and when I relayed my concerns he started yelling at me over the phone saying I don't know what he has to deal with, he "has to work with Italians," and said he has no control over it, then said it "wasn't my issue" which it certainly is. He rarely got my name right, he would call me by the wrong name often and even when I told him he would come back ON THE SAME PHONE CALL with someone else's order info. Incredibly unprofessional, rude, inconsistent, and all around a bad business. It's a wonder he's still in business. You can get this quality suit anywhere, you're paying more here for customer service and the personal touch. Save your money and go to a name-brand chain. Only reason this isn't one star is because I did end up getting the suit the day before I left for the wedding. If I hadn't called repeatedly, I doubt I would have it. After reviewing most of their inventory on the racks, it was hard to understand why many of the items I brought in were not accepted. It may be the "manager's" bias as she inspected the items. She was polite in a very insincere way trying to explain to me what she would accept and not accept, which was all very random. Was that really her natural voice?!! She was very complimentary when dresses fit nicely and she was straightforward (but never rude) when she thought I could do better. She loves the clothes in her store and sees them as wearable art. If I'm going to spend my money on something like a cocktail dress, I do appreciate a tailored and personalized experience. This evening was not a good experience and I was very disappointed. Upon entering the Coconut Point store in Estero Florida, I was not greeted even though there were no other customers in the store. There were two women working there. One appeared to be texting on her phone. In the past, when I picked out clothing, the sales associate would put them in a fitting room with my name on it. Not today. I carried all the clothes around the store until I was ready to try them on. In the past, the sales people would check on me and offer to find things in different sizes or offer suggestions on what accessories would go with the clothes. Not today. When I was ready to purchase, my husband asked if we could get some customer service for a change. One woman ignored us and the other responded that she didn't know we needed any customer service. Yes, I suspect that she does cut the tag off of newer items in order to pass them off as vintage or luxury. And yes, I have been followed around the store and been treated with suspicion during some visits to the store. One visit in particular stands out to me. I received an email stating that everything in the store was 20% off. So I arrived to check out the sale and, as someone who manages retail, I recognize the associate's (blonde woman who said she was a costumer designer from southern VA) relentless customer service as a tactic to prevent people from stealing. Like, she wouldn't leave me alone to try on the clothes and make my decisions in peace - this is an anti theft tactic. The idea is that the potential thief will be discouraged from stealing if the associate provides suffocating customer service: following the individual closely and being overly attentive in the hopes that it will make them think twice about skipping out with merch. Literally, she was with me the ENTIRE hour I was in there to try on vintage trousers. She had this uncomfortable, concerned look in between talking to me. I really resent this because I used to work up the street, and would come in pretty regularly to check out new items and make purchases. Eleanor even offered to give me a discount since she said she liked my figure, and since I could fit a lot of the smaller items in her store. So the service is bizarrely hot and cold here. They eventually admitted they couldn't find my items and said it must have been "stolen" and gave me just a $50 credit (Their contract states they aren't liable for lost or stolen goods, so consigners get no reimbursement), so please don't bring your high-end items here. They are disorganized, inexperienced, and unprofessional. If you want real expertise, integrity, and quality good go to New To You, where I've shopped and consigned for over 15 years--they know their brands, have high end goods prices right and take care of their consignors.
