Their current winter "Port No 6" menu has drinks starting at $12 but you can tell they put a lot of care into each creation. Staff are friendly but things may move a little slower due to the care they put into their cocktails. This is definitely reminiscent of island vibes. Wait for a good drink and relax at the bar or outer patio (which has heaters in the winter). Street parking is pretty easy to snag, even around dinner time.

Our waiter was very attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine to share, and I did have a cocktail as well. Their cocktail menu is put together very well. They have an option for everyone. I ordered the chilean sea bass. The parmesan crust on it was perfect. For some reason I was picturing a more crispy hard crust, but it was nice and soft. The fish itself was perfectly cooked. We opt'ed out of dessert, but maybe next time! This was a special experience.

We were eating outside, and we barely saw her while we were waiting. My husband eventually had to go inside to check with someone, and it took another 15 minutes before we finally got an update. The manager did make an effort to make things right. He took $20 off our bill and gave us free dessert, which we really appreciated. That said, I think we'll be back. It's a beautiful place with good food, and we really enjoyed what we had. The service just needs some work. Our waitress was very sweet, but seemed a little timid and didn't check on us much. Even getting drink refills took quite a while. Overall, we had a good experience despite the wait, and hopefully the service improves because we'd definitely like to come back!

Their location, situated at the end of the strip, made finding parking a breeze. The staff was helpful in the selection process and came back to the table to ensure everyone was enjoying it. Even after we settled on a Boudreaux Blanc, the staff, hearing I wasn't the biggest fan of whites, came back to offer me a sample of a red he thought I may enjoy. He was 100% right. They have ample outdoor seating which we utilized this evening. Luckily this evening, the villages 4th of July festivities were also happening so we had some live music to enjoy as well. Finally, while they put together a tasty charcuterie board themselves, they also team up with other village establishments to offer more food options that can be delivered right to your table at Vintage 38. Tonight we needed something a little more so went with a pizza. It's a great option to enjoy a perfect evening in the Greendale village.

They also have a bunch of shuttle buses that take you to Brewers games and concerts, which means you can drink, have fun and not have to deal with the whole "where the hell did I park?" situation. Last night was our first time downstairs in The Oaks Lounge and I loved it. It feels like a little speakeasy mixed with your BFF's basement bar -- in the best possible way. We were there for a bourbon event and our bartender was fantastic. Super friendly, helpful and was absolutely busting her butt taking care of everyone. And then there's the outdoor space where they have bands during the week and on weekends when Wisconsin weather decides to cooperate. I honestly wished the beef kebab would've been more tender so I could have eaten it since the flavor on it was so delicious. I will go back because I've eaten here before and not had food quality issues. I know the restaurant industry is hard right now because of pricing of food. I just hope that they get more than one server working and also go back to their old meat vendor as soon as possible.

The Petite Filet was our main. It was a no frills steak, but with a good cut, I want the steak to speak for itself and not have a bunch of stuff on it. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was very tasty. I almost regretted not getting the larger Main Filet. Carrot cake was desert, and it was what you would expect of a dessert at a nice restaurant. It was very rich, and the caramel drizzle was a nice touch. Overall a very pleasant experience.
