Food was good and came out pretty quickly, especially considering the restaurant wasn't very busy. Service, however, could have been much better. The place was fairly empty--maybe three other tables--and it still took quite a while for someone to greet us, bring menus, take our drink orders, and then actually bring the drinks out. I ordered a Tito's and tonic, but what I received looked like a cup of salsa water with a splash of tonic. It tasted pretty unpleasant and the presentation wasn't great either. This review does not sit well with me because we LOVE Casablanca Brookfield. 1-4 the good! 5-the not so good! 1. We wanted to bring in the New Year at Casablanca. Brookfield specifically to avoid the night club atmosphere of Brady Street. We were informed they were booked days prior and only accepting walk ins as allowed. My sister was later able to book a reservation for our party! Thank goodness! 2. We arrived and noticed the parking lot was pretty empty for an evening, especially NYE! This made it even better! When I see empty lots I think of better service as staff aren't spread so thin. We were seated immediately and the waitstaff was very attentive as we thought. This is another positive. 3. We ordered a few hookahs. We were satisfied with the quality and the follow up with switching the coals. No complaints. 4. Our drinks were very delicious. Everyone ordered at least one cocktail and no one had any complaints on the flavor or the amount of spirits. The drinks are priced fairly as well. 5. Here's what did not sit well with me. The food! We usually have great experiences with the food here. However, there were some misses this visit. My sister ordered the beef stirfry. It was extremely salty. However, she did not want to complain and decided to eat most of it as we had a late reservation, she was hungry, and had began drinking cocktails. She wanted to put something on her empty stomach. Two more people in our party, experienced the same thing. Their food was extremely salty. The waitress ended up taking the food back and issued them 50% off of the price of the entrée. My husband ordered Shawarma fries for the table. Everyone received their entrées but the fries never arrived to our table. When we inquired about them, our waitress said the kitchen was backed up and that they would be out shortly. Fries? Fries, queso, and shawarma meat takes longer than entrees? Sounds like someone forgot to enter them! It was probably another 20 minutes before the fries arrived to our table. By that time, everyone was done for the most part so there was no need to share the fries. My husband inquired about the inconvenience and was also offered half off the price of the fries. 6. Our plan to bring in the new year at Casablanca was cut short because people at our table were hungry and wanted to go get food that was not salty. We ended up visiting another restaurant where guests who did not enjoy their food picked up a quick bite. 7. Will I return back to Casablanca? Not with our family as their first experience wasn't pleasant. I do believe in giving businesses an opportunity to make things right. This is also not what we typically experience at Casa. Casablanca used to be a favorite. Went tonight with a group of ladies. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet service was very, very slow. Took over 1.5 hours from the time we sat to get our food. Waitress barely came by to check on us or for refills, even with the long wait for food. Two orders came out and another ten minutes passed before the rest of the group's dinner arrived. Chicken shawarma was dry & flavorless. Took the waitress three tries to get our bills correct... and to top it off, gratuity was automatically added. I found Casablanca to be disappointing at every course of the meal. First is the spinach pie aka a roll stuffed with a sparse spicy mix of spinach. My first bite of the Chicken was fat. The rice was so so. Everything served at the edge of cold. The grilled vegetables were luke warm. But I figured there are so many places around MKE with good baklava, that cannot go wrong. Well, it did. Again bready, with some candied walnuts, no honey favor. I recall the food being good at the Downtown location. Perhaps, pandemic supply issues. So I went with a three vs two, although what you see in the pictures is all the food that I did not eat. Will try the downtown location. Hoping it is still good. read more

Very very good middle eastern food and I'm a tough critic as an Iraqi and a Detroiter where we have the largest Arab population in the US. Great seasoning and portion sizes. You can order hookah at the tables as well which is nice but they are much more expensive than what I'm used to in Detroit. $38 for a grapefruit head is pretty steep. Our server was very nice and our food came out quickly but after that, we hardly saw her again and I had to flag her down for a drink refill and again for the check. Very very nice place. We went for Jessie's 23rd bday. The staff was awesome. The waiters were very helpful and patient.

We tried Casablanca on a night that it wasn't busy and our service was pretty great. We were the only ones in the main dining room and our server was quite attentive. We ordered the appetizer combo and the shawarma wraps. The combo was delicious! The spinach pie and hummus were by fav. The only thing I didn't love was the tabbouleh, too minty for my taste. I cannot remember when we have had a worse dining experience. The restaurant was not very busy, except for a large party upstairs, and they seated the 5 of us in a back area instead of the main dining room which has large windows. The service was okay but mediocre. We ordered a falafel plate as an appetizer which was good. For dinner, my daughter ordered a pasta dish and my wife and I each ordered a combination plate for our main course. From there things went downhill. We waited almost an hour for our food, and we were just ready to tell them we wanted the food to-go when our food arrived. My daughter's pasta was good. The two combination appetizer plates were terrible. They never brought us pita bread. The salad had no dressing and you could only taste the parsley. The spinach triangles had very little filling, and you could not taste any feta cheese. There was a little taste of spinach but mostly you only tasted dough which was not flakey. The grape leaves were under stuffed, slimy, and overcooked. The babaganoush was okay. The hummus was the worst we have had. It was like a crumbly cake that had been pressed into a bowl so it would be a solid mass. You could not taste any garlic, olive oil or lemon juice. To top off the evening they automatically added a large tip which seemed very tacky for a group of five (2 children and 3 adults) and terrible service. read more

September 2024. We love Casablanca and have been going for years. The food is always good to great, love the hookah, drinks are good. This time, I was so shocked at the state of the building that I'm writing this review. The bathroom was buzzing with flies. I actually took a paper towel and wiped off dead flies from the countertop, clear that it hadn't been done in some time. All trash cans were completely full (including the bins in the stalls). Every stall door was broken. The music, over the 2 hours that we were there, got louder and louder, despite asking them to turn it down we were shouting sitting next to each other. Whomever was playing the music couldn't decide on a song and kept skipping and playing commercials. Hopefully this was just a one night slip up, but showed a serious lack of standards compared to how the restaurant used to be. read more

But I guess they have to make sure that they can satisfy a wide audience. The food could have used a little more flavor, the service was good. They do charge an 18% tip whether you have six people or less; It doesn't matter. But the service was good and they gave you plenty of food for the money. I would check them out again. I drive by this Casablanca in Brookfield all the time and said to myself I'm going to stop in one day. I frequent go to the location on the Eastside due it's close to my house and plus I love the food. So I stop in on a Friday mid day, I was greeted right away and told her can I sit at the bar and she said yes and this is where the bad service started. I waited like 12 mins for the server, the host was trying to find her no where to be found. After the 12mins the host found the bartender behind an curtain talk on her cell wow. At this point I was ready to leave but I was hungry and from prior experience I know they have amazing food. So the bartender came over she was nice and very attentive when she finally arrived lol. So I ordered my food hoping the meal will make me forget about the bad experience so far but nope it didn't. Im sad to say its night and day between the 2 locations, the food is so much better on the Eastside compared to the location in Brookfield. I just asked for bill and got the hell out of there SMH. Spacious place with lots of available seating in the suburbs! Their all you can eat brunch on the weekend include unlimited mimosas! I tried the nonalcoholic mango version and it was alright, which was soda and mango juice combined. The idea was great! The plethora of food of both Mediterranean And American will definitely stuff you if you don't eat slow enough. Make sure you leave room for the flan! They have one of the best made flan I've tasted. The rest of true desserts had great presentation. They have decent food. It would be great if there were more options for brunch versus the $19.99 buffet. Maybe vegetarian buffet on weekends would offer a lesser price. This place did look great, nice chandeliers and spacious seating. Yeah, it's a no from me dawg. We went back to give Casablanca 2.0 another shot tonight. The mister had suggested sushi but I wanted something more flavorful and I'd always loved the Veg Combo at the Brady Street location. In good news - improved service! We were checked on, no issue with getting beverages, things were timed nicely. My husband also really enjoyed his grilled scallops dish. We tried the hummus with chicken this time and that was GREAT - the chicken was juicy and flavorful. You could make a meal of this and I'd suggest perhaps you do... In bad news - well, pretty much almost everything else. The lentil soup was still delicious but sadly served barely lukewarm. My veggie combo came with: Hummus - the best thing on the plate by far Tabbouli - WAY, way, way too much lemon juice, it overshadowed all other flavors Baba ganoush - just "ok". It really had no flavor at all. Falafels - served fresh and hot but again, literally no flavor at all. It was like eating styrofoam. Spinach pie - this one makes me so sad because it was my favorite from Brady. What I got was soggy and clearly microwaved - and again, just no flavor. I am truly disheartened that this location does not have many stars. I think with any new establishment, there are going to be kinks. It was absolutely delicious. This was my first time trying middle eastern food and hooka!! My date pushed me to just give hooka a try just once, as smoking is really not my thing. And well, it was good! I'm not sure that I would do it on my own, as it's not my thing? But I would definitely partake socially. We sat at the bar and the service was absolutely amazing! Friendly and attentive, yet not disruptive. They were great! I ordered the combo plate of chicken shawarma and beef kabobs. It came with a salad I did not particularly care for. My food was cooked perfectly though. I absolutely loved that the meal came with grilled veggies. I love grilled veggies. The beef was juicy, tender and flavorful, as well as the chicken. Paired with the rice, I would absolutely come and order this again. I also had the sangria, which was also delicious. It wasn't too sweet, but not bitter at all. It was yummy. went for dinner last night with a party of 4. It was not busy. We had a 6:30 reservation. Our server was very pleasant. Food was good. When the check came it totaled $222. As I was signing the credit card ticket, I was getting ready to leave $40 in cash for a tip (I always like to tip in cash) when I noticed that they had added an 18% gratuity to the bill already. I am used to restaurants automatically adding a gratuity for large parties, but I have never seen it for a party of 4! Had I not noticed this, the server would have received a $75 tip! The more I thought about this after leaving the restaurant the more I felt as though I had been deceived. There was no mention on the menu of there practice of adding on this gratuity. The server did not bring it to my attention. Shame on Casablanca Management! And to the server, the cash tip I was going to leave you was larger than the tip your employer automatically charged me. Maybe if you would have pointed out to me that there was an 18% gratuity included in the check I would have left an additional amount. This really did not sit well with me. If you want to automatically add in gratuities then build it into your prices. Increase your employees hourly rates and tell your customers that there is no tipping because you pay a prevailing wage. I am undecided on whether or not I will return to this establishment. read more

We did not really have one dedicated server, it was a mix of the hostess, server, and a food runner waiting on us. Overall the food tasted fresh and was flavorful. The last couple of reviews I left for Casablanca in Brookfield were less than glowing, but who doesn't love a good redemption story? I'm glad we gave them some time to work out the kinks. After a two year hiatus, we gave Casablanca another go and I'm happy to report they've changed in all the best ways. As creatures of habit, we ordered our favorite collection of dishes: hummus, falafel, lentil soup, and the chicken and beef kabob combination. I know, this seems like a lot of food for two, but we got a bonus lunch out of the leftovers. As always, the food was amazing! The falafel was piping hot when delivered and the portion of vegetables we got (as a gluten free option for hummus dipping) was like half the produce section at the grocery store. The lentil soup was something I was craving forever. I'm normally a salad type of gal, but the lentil soup is so simple and so delicious. I always recommend it (and don't forget the lemon!) The kabob meat was juicy, tender and cooked just as we ordered. Now, my previous issues with Casablanca were about the food. The service on all of our previous visits was just plain terrible. That said, they have upped their game to make the dine-in experience absolutely flawless. The servers and table runners were clearly in sync. They had everything timed perfectly and made the service was on point from start to finish. This was the experience we needed to make us return as regular diners. I called the restaurant and they told me that the manager was busy, I asked for my money back and the employee asked if I wanted anything instead. I asked her if there was someone to bring me she said yes. (two minute drive from the restaurant) I chose what I wanted. Suddenly manager said that she could not make the delivery the kitchen already closed. Even though it was a little past ten and the restaurant only closes at 11 at night. I'm a big fan of the original location, but this one is more convenient. I loved the OG Casablanca's vegetarian lunch buffet, which used to be on Saturdays as well. Unfortunately for me, now the brunch buffet includes meat on both weekend days, as well as bottomless mimosas. It's a great deal, but they should have a buffet without mimosas included in the price for DD's, etc. -1 star for that. I also came here for dinner recently. We sat at the bar and took advantage of half priced apps and drinks before 6 pm. I liked that there were no exclusions on what you could order. Tried the vegetarian buffet during lunchtime. We started off with drinks, mine mint lemonade and my wife had a mango lemonade. They were most refreshing as we visited on a very humid 87 degree day. On the buffet there were various salad options including a traditional lettuce salad, cucumber salad, and a taboula salad along with baba ghanoush, hummus sliced fruits, tahini paste and veggies. The entree section had many Mediterranean and Moroccan dishes such as Pita bread, lentil soup, basmati rice, stewed tomatoes, potatoes, onion and mushroom, cauliflower, and other combinations all seasoned with exotic (to my tastebuds) spices. Some were spicy hot, but not too hot. There was even a Mac and cheese option for kids. The desert table had many options like yogurt, tiramisu, baklava and other treats. As we like a meat option, we chose a shrimp kabob and a chicken kabob (beef was also offered) the meat was tender and well seasoned. I would suggest ordering the kabobs early and pace yourself at the buffet as they take a while to prepare. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. We thought the next time we'd try the Brady Street location as that was highly recommended by friends and the prices are a couple dollars less for the buffet. We will probably give it another chance because the food was okay (we would like to try some other items on the menu), but the service we received tonight was 2 stars at best. Our waitress took our drink orders, and never brought out the water I asked for until everyone else had gotten their drinks and I asked a second time. She took our food orders, writing them down, then came back a second time to ask us for our orders again, blaming the request on the "kitchen being slow." That was pretty much the last time we saw her for the duration of the meal. We ordered the Jibneh rolls as an appetizer, which were great. The adults ordered the chicken and steak tahini pastas. The sauce was very bland, but the steak was delicious. The chicken was mediocre. The teenager in the group ordered a cheeseburger which was large and she said it was good. The melon ball martini was also good. The fries were perfectly cooked. They did automatically charge an 18% gratuity which was certainly not earned during this visit, so make sure you double check your bill before adding any additional tip. read more

We have gone to the Milwaukee Casablanca in the past, which was delightful. Though their new ingredients cater more for a hospital bill. Expect to visit the ER if you have heart issues. We do not, but that food was like licking a stick of salt. After asking for a refund from the manager named Lisa. She informed me that a gift card is on the way to my mailing address. The venerable east side Casablanca just opened up a branch in Brookfield on the strip mall haven of Bluemound Road. Located in a ubiquitous building you can't miss, Casablanca's cavernous space is somewhat daunting, since it is such a huge restaurant. It is almost a mall unto itself. It would fit in well in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Our table had huge picture windows overlooking the insalubrious aspects of Bluemound Road's mass commercialism. It was kind of funny. The menu has all the Middle Eastern favorites and we ordered several dishes to taste, including Kifta, Kibbe, and falafel. Everything tasted mediocre, especially the Kibbe, which was some kind of fried potato thing filled with minced meat. I have never tasted kibbe prepared in this manner. The falafel was unbelievably dry, perhaps representative of the 95 degree heat generated by the asphalt outside our window. Service was well meaning, but slow and poorly paced, perhaps more a fault of the kitchen rather than our server. We expected more from this iconic Milwaukee restaurant name. Hopefully it is just growing pains. A saving grace could be the belly dancing offered every Saturday night at 6:30 and 8:30. That would be special. Interesting to notice were the many Middle Eastern families dining on this particular Saturday afternoon. Is Brookfield becoming multi cultural? If so, the change is quite welcome. read more

The building is totally awesome after waiting several months to open and the initial onset of patron visiting this location. I never heard of any negative comments about this location at all. I was not overly impressed with the buffet. It just looked and tasted like any other buffet for this type of restaurant with the exception of the dessert section. I'll give the weekend buffet a try in the near future. read more
