Wings at truth are slept on! Always fresh, so they take a little while to make some times but I've never been disappointed.

Issa Vibe! We were in town for an event over the weekend and decided to check out Truth. We arrived around 10:45pm and it was pretty packed already. People were dancing and singing their favorite karaoke tunes. The DJ was dope and so was the crowd. We ordered hookah and wine. They ran out of wine glasses so I was disappointed about drinking my wine in a margarita glass, but after the first drink I hardly noticed. If we are ever back in Milwaukee for a weekend, I will certainly stop by Truth Lounge!

Nothing to write home about. Happy hour is nice. The bartenders have short term memory; you have to remind them about your drinks. They rather hide in the corner texting or taking selfies... the Moscow mule is great tho.

I had the onion Rings and wings! They were impeccable! The vibe was awesome and the drinks were strong! Sunday night Karaoke is definitely a vibe!

Smelled funny (like a port a pot), no Diet Coke, and horrible music. Walked in and the place was empty...should've took that as a sign.

They place is very nice and clean. My date did not care for the smoke from the kitchen, had her clothes smell like smoke.

This lounge has a nice chill vibe with good music. It is a good place to go before a Bucks game for a drink or a quick bite.

We've enjoyed "sip and paints" here, New Year's Eve, when they offered brunch with crepes, and frequented when they had their vegetarian lunch buffet. Unfortunately, things have changed. 1. Atmosphere The décor hasn't changed. Still sleek, dimly lit, and romantic. The bathroom water wasn't working, and staff seemed aware of it when we mentioned it. How is that sanitary or up to code? Several of the chairs brought to our table were also broken, with bent legs a clear safety issue. It's typically packed on a Saturday like a dance club but it was nearly empty on a Saturday night which may be a reflection of our experience. 2. Service Our waitress was kind and attentive despite handling a large group, but the busboy was unprofessional. He started clearing plates while people were still eating and even asked my husband to reach across the table to hand over other guests' dishes. It made us feel rushed, even though the place wasn't busy. 3. Food My chicken shawarma was greasy, hard, sour, and unseasoned, almost as if the meat had gone bad. The potato balls were cut open which I've never seen and underwhelming. My husband and son's wings were over fried and tough, the spinach artichoke dip was clumpy and poorly blended, and others said the lamb chops were "okay." Honestly, the best thing I ate that night was the pita bread. 4. Overall Experience This used to be our go to for birthdays, Brady Street drag show viewing, and happy hour, but it's gone downhill. Between the sanitation issues, broken furniture, food quality, and rushed service, it no longer feels like "our spot". SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.... This was hard to write because I have so many great memories here and I wanted the experience to be better. Sadly, I won't be returning.

One of my favorite places to catch hookah and a tasty dish in Milwaukee area…read more It's tucked away quite snug right off the interstate, resting nicely between the bustling stop and go automobiles at the intersection of Howard and 76th. If you don't look, you might miss Arabian Nights Hookah Lounge. Especially during the daytime. But at night, they have neon lights that draw you in like a bug to a zapper under summer's stars. If you are drawn in, you won't be let down. Let's get something straight here -- this is a Hookah Bar. There isn't alcohol and there doesn't need to be. If you want to go somewhere for that, try using your Yelp app for "bars" with the little martini glass next to it. The interior of the place is much like a hookah bar in Cairo -- it's dimly light with a great ventilation system. There's an actual bar counter you can sit at and smoke. Ample amount of tables for seating and some rooms with couches and televisions if you'd like. For the TV's, they have Netflix, Spotify, Hulu and all the fixings like you're right at home. For the hookah, it's pretty unique if you want it to be. For the bowl (where the tobacco goes), you can get a hollowed out fruit -- apple, pineapple, watermelon, lemon and so on. Trust me, this makes it taste so much better. For tobacco, they have Starbuzz, Al-Fahker, Fumari and more (which are the traditional suppliers). You can mix flavors together if you wish. The smoke is smooth and quite flavorful, which creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing night with friends. For food, I've had the shawarma wrap before and their smoothie. It's good! The Turkish coffee is really good as well, and you can get it without sugar if that's your thing. It's really caffeinated and quite good. I'd recommend trying some coffee which sips great in between puffs of hookah.

"If it is your favorite hookah bar, why not 5 stars?" you may ask. Well, kind reader, I have been here dozens of times in the last six years or so since I started hitting up the Milwaukee hookah scene and I just have to say I have had my share of terrible experiences here - enough that on any given night, it is the difference between a 5 star and a 2 star experience. First, why I love it: Great flavors, prices are decent and comparable to similar hookah bars in the area, the ambiance is very cool and not to "feminine" as sometimes hookah places can be with frilly pillows and whatnot, the noise level is reasonable, I enjoy the Turkish music videos on the tvs, and service can be awesome. One time about two years ago, a waiter gave us a $25 gift card to our table for no reason. We must have just been great customers or he had so many to hand out for the night. Either way, awesome! Why I could really go for being about anywhere else on earth sometimes: sometimes there are not too many videos in the loop sequence and if you sit there for more than an hour, which you probably are doing, you will hear the same songs several times. Worse than that is the service. Last time I was in, we had a waitress who didn't seem to have the faintest idea for how to wait tables. First of all, waitressing at a hookah bar should be the easiest kind of waitressing in my humble opinion. You just keep coals going, after 30-45 min see if they want another flavor. Maybe once or twice between as you fix coals, ask if they need any drinks or appetizers. It took about 15 min for her to even bring the hookah out. She didn't come back to our table for an hour and 15 min. We were prepared to order another flavor quite some time before then and would have had she allowed us the chance and also would have liked their amazingly cheap and delicious tea and pita bread. Instead we wasted an hour and a half with one flavor that was old before we just gave up and left. She didn't even ask if we wanted anything else when she came back - she just handed us a bill wordlessly. Now I know waitresses can get busy bussing many tables, but I think we were literally the only table she had and there was only one other table that night that was being waited on by a young man who stopped by their table several times during our night there. Please don't make me feel like maybe I should ask another waiter/waitress to take our order. She literally stood by the bar talking to the bartender and didn't even glance at our table so we could wave her down. We left very disappointed. My husband and I have a hookah we use at home and a good number of shisha flavors on hand, but sometimes we want to go out just to go out. I'd rather not feel like I would have been better off just staying home. Especially after being excited about going to a place I typically love. Customer beware of a hit or miss experience! Hopefully, you get the 85% chance it will be a great time.

They offer you a menu for the shisa (hookah) flavors. I felt like i was a kid in a candy store with all of the possibilities. I will say that it is more expensive then some of the other hookah spots in Milwaukee but a extra couple of bucks hasn't hurt my pockets so i can live with it. There isn't a bar or a huge food menu so don't expect that when you enter. The crowd is usually 20 to 30 something hipsters or college students from the river west area. So no dressing up or over dressing its not that type of place. The pro for this place is that it is diverse and i appreciate that.
