THEY DID NOT SHOW UP - TWICE. DO NOT BUY THE GROUPON! I found these movers on Groupon and scheduled them for our move over the weekend. They told us they would arrive between 2-4PM on the day we needed to move. We called, texted, left voicemails and barely received responses back. They told us they would call us back for updates because they were running a bit behind. I tried to be understanding until it was 7PM and we had not heard back. We gave them a call again and they promised they would arrive by 9PM, so we waited. We gave them a call back when they didn't show up by 9PM and then they said they would be there by 10PM. They ended up not showing up. They apologized and said they would arrive the next day at 2PM but someone had not shown up that day. We wasted another day waiting for the come... they never called us. We ended up renting a uhaul and hiring some guys outside uhaul. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. read more

I have moved more times than I would care to admit. I have moved so much and accumulated more crap, that I have officially burned all of my moving bridges... (I'm hiring new friends as well). Since all of my friends were either busy, or just said "nope"... I had to take matters into my own hands and move myself. I have heard so many horror stories about movers so I tried to do as much research that I could before hand. After combing through Craigslist, I switched to yelp to see what others had to say. I eventually decided on Titan. Best decision I have made in a while! Since I am on a budget, I tried to move as much stuff as I could throughout the week prior on my own. My plan was to have them help with the heavy stuff. They showed up 15 minutes early... went over paperwork and the process... and then said they would not start the clock until 8:15. At exactly 8:15, they started moving and did not stop! They even wrapped all of my furniture for me in plastic so it wouldn't be scratched. They all of my stuff on the truck in an hour. Once we got to the new house... they were like machines... They finished unloading and arranging my furniture and still had at least 20 minutes to spare (and that was after slowing down because they had more than enough time to spare). When I have to move again... which will hopefully be a long long long time from now, I would definitely use them again! read more

Michael and Chris showed up early and completed the 3 hour move 55 minutes ahead of schedule. They treated my furniture with respect by wrapping it up. In addition they followed my wife's instructions where to put items and how to stack the boxes. Overall, I was impressed. This is my first move, using professional help. It will not be my last. Don't use them! I initially contacted Titan Moving after hunting in Craigslist, then cross-checking what fellow YELPers thought of their experience. Titan's rates were very good but they've only been around one or two years. I spoke with Dennis the owner who was short with me and seemed perturbed with my questions, especially when I asked about a YELP discount. The owner actually said, who cares about yelp....but he has changed his tune. Because of the move date, I wanted to confirm the details, so I called. Dennis returned my call the evening before to confirm with me and the guys showed up a couple of minutes before the agreed 9am. Sam and Alli (?) showed up with a 26 ft truck, plenty of supplies, blankets, dollies. Sam was not able to explain one portion of the form he wanted me to sign. One surprise was the roll of tape w/out dispenser. Waisted time chasing the invisible end of the tape. I looked out the kitchen window and saw Ali about to slide my beautiful pecan vintage dining table, on it's side, along the floor of the truck. I ran out to stop him. He was indignant. I asked how he wrapped the leaves of the table he looked around the floor and in this corner and that corner. I'm sure he just slid them right in, as noted by the damage I found. After further unpacking I have found more damage. The most disgusting part is the $100 I tipped the guys just to discover the damage. read more

I recently moved into a brand new house and used Titan Movers. I hadn't planned on using a moving company but I recently ruptured my achilles and was unable to do any moving. I can honestly say that I'm glad I got injured because Titan Movers made the move really smooth. Two movers showed up 15 mins early and went over the paperwork with me and said they would start promptly at 8am. 8am came around and they two guys started and didn't stop. I had two pickup up locations and then the final destination at my new home. They got the entire job done in 3 hours. This price was very good compared to the amount of work they do. 3 hours plus tip only cost me $320. I think it was well worth it. These two guys carried my huge washer and dryer upstairs because the laundry room is on the second level. That alone impressed me and made me realize that it was money well spent. I paid cash because they do tack on a 5% credit card fee. I don't think its stated on their website and wasn't disclosed at the time I made the phone appt but Anton did point it out before any work was done during that 15 min period before their 8am start time. I had the heads up on the credit card fee from other Yelp reviews. The customer service was also very good. Anton was one of the workers and did most of the talking. He was very courteous and polite. The other guy was more on the quiet end but did everything that was asked of him. I would definitely recommend this moving company, as I had no complaints. I submitted a quote request and in less than one week I've received more than 20 emails, 6 text messages and AT LEAST 2 calls per day. I've answered a few calls and asked that they remove me from their list and the sales reps just hung up on me, both times. I finally called them back and told them how intrusive and rude all of the contacts have been, and the agent actually told me that I "made the mistake of putting my contact information on the internet". Instead of taking the feedback, he fought with me when I told him I wouldn't be using them simply on principle. I am overwhelmed and I do not know how to make them stop contacting me. It was my first time hiring professional movers due to the amount of things that I had at my previous place. These guys moved my 2600+ square foot house a week or so ago located in oside to cbad. I was impressed with the whole teams work ethic, and would hire them again. I have a bunch of stuff, fragile items too.. nothing broke, and this team earned their money. Beginning communications could of been a bit better, but it all worked out. I saved about 500-600bucks compared to the more commercial nationwide co's. keep up the good work Sergey & team! I'm still living boxes, and moving in general still sucks, as we all know. These guys were absolutely amazing. The two movers showed up on time and had the truck loaded and ready to go with hardly any direction from us. Originally, we'd planned to pack lots of items into out pickup and car but they took all of heavy boxes of books and said they'd be well under the 2K lb. minimum, which they were. We'd been quoted a rate based on everything being packed and ready in our garage, but we way underestimated the amount of stuff we had and weren't even done packing in time. The movers helped us to carry items down three flights of stairs including a couple of heavily packed wardrobe boxes. Both men were polite, efficient, and courteous. They worked quickly yet treated our stuff with kid gloves. Within an hour and a half they'd fully loaded their 17' truck and were off to San Luis Obispo. Unfortunately, we weren't ready to leave for another 2 hours and by the time we hit the road, we caught L.A. traffic. They called us before reaching their destination to find out how we were doing, called again when they got there, and again when they'd finished unloading. We ended up having to meet them in Buelton as they were heading back and we were still an hour from SLO. They were both really nice; tired and anxious to get home. They told us that they'd put our belongings in the rooms we'd asked them to so we signed off hoping everything would turn out all right. We never even had to rearrange the living room, kitchen, or utility room. The bedroom furniture was carefully and perfectly arranged, and they'd even put our "sleep number" bed and frame together; also the kitchen and dining room were also nicely set up. My office space was laid out comfortably and they'd assembled a large, heavy desk as well. Because we'd labeled all of our boxes, we found them pretty much in their corresponding places throughout our home. We certainly hadn't planned on getting interior designers as well as meticulous movers. I would recommend Titan or use them again without hesitation. They stuck to their quote even though the job was quite a bit bigger than I'd told them it would be, and there weren't any surprise charges, as everything was clearly spelled out in writing, including the 5% credit card fee, which turned out to be well worth the cost, as most of the quotes we received were similar or more expensive; and the service could not have been any better. Nothing was broken, crushed, or missing--a first for any moving company we've ever had the misfortune to use. Although my wife and I were pretty exhausted from the move--we're both in our 60's--Titan made it as easy as possible for us. Oh, I have to mention that this was a last minute decision and we really needed "same day" pick up and delivery. I was searching for some movers to help me and my fiance get a couple of couches, mattresses, a huge wardrobe and some other furniture that belonged to her parents from their house in Rancho San Diego to our new place in Allied Gardens. My sister recommended using a moving company that she used a while back. We called Titan and the owner, Denis got everything all set up for an appointment th next day.. We wanted someone who was available that day but the guy ensured me that a team would get to the house in Rancho early in the morning. They got there on time, loaded the truck up, hauled it to our new place and set everything up in the right spot inside the house. UpDate Review In February 2010 we hired Titan Moving Systems (They have a few different names) During that time they broke our 63" Plasma HDTV. Though we think this was an accident on their part, the trouble we had trying to settle this was amazing. The owner Denis was away for over a month and would not deal with it. Then he said we broke the TV. We took the case to Small Claims were we won (Default Judgement) since he did not show. It took us a professional services company to serve papers on him and the company as Denis did everything he could to avoid service. After our Judgement Denis then had his Insurance company contact us... Then after they would not do anything Denis settled for $2,000. (not the full amount, but at least something.) Before we cashed the check we contact the Insurance company to make sure they did not pay out and then he was settling with us for a smaller amount. The Insurance company told us to cash the check as Titan Moving Systems was not covered for our TV or the move with the truck they used. Although the ordeal settling this was not great... the movers were nice and did a pretty good job... (Again the TV was an accident I'm sure). My advise is to just buy separate moving insurance when you are ready to move. I also think Denis has become a better owner with all of this. Although he can get heated on the phone, he is an owner that cares and is trying to do a good job with a small business and small margins. Now that this is settled I have to say we would use them again for a move just being clear on what is being done and also getting separate moving insurance from a company like our home insurance. read more

I am a single mother who did not want to rely on the many offers from friends and neighbors to help us move. A friend of mine referred me to Titan movers and I am so glad that she did. I used 3 movers as I have some very heavy furniture for 4 hours. All of the movers were on time, very courteous, and worked very hard to accomplish the move in the 4 hour time period. They dropped our fridge (and dented it badly, thankfully it's on the back side), they didn't have the tools/equipment to properly move items. They also complained about not having any ice (duh - you moved our fridge, do you think ice comes from the stove?) and so I went to the store to buy some water and Gatorade and not so much as a thank you. Moving is a brutal job - I get it, but I'm paying you to make my life a bit less miserable, not make it more stressful. Would not recommend their services. read more

So they have you yelp them for a discount right before you pay them. Ok, I am fine with that. But then to go inside and notice they put two holes in some interior doors, Not cool! Of course they were already gone, no one answered the phone the few times I called and no one called me back after I left a detailed message. Has been almost 60 days now. The receipt is a carbon copy and they must have used pencil because it looks blank the writing is so light. I found Titan through the BBB website because I was worried about finding a good moving company at an affordable rate. I am picky about hiring any one for any job, and my husband is not easily impressed. All in all I my husband and I were happy we chose Titan, and wouldn't hesitate to hire Titan again. I wasn't at our apartment when our movers, Valdimir and Anton, arrived but my husband was. He was impressed by their punctuality and quickness to start the moving. My husband told me as soon as he opened the door Valdimir asked him "What stays? what goes?" Which probably isn't entirely true because I wasn't there and paper work did get done at some point. However, my only suggestion would be for the movers to introduce them selves first, then get started. Prior to moving day I did send emails, which were answered promptly by Natalia or Dennis. With in those emails it was confirmed that unlimited wardrobe boxes would be provided as was well as shrink wrap, and moving blankets, if needed. The only charge would be for boxes. On move day, Anton said shrink wrap would be $25 extra, and only 2 wardrobe were brought for use... I told Anton I had printed my emails from Dennis confirming those 2 items were included/ unlimited use. He said he'd call Dennis to confirm, I'm not sure if he did call but in the end I was not charged for shrink wrap and magically more wardrobe boxes were brought out of the truck to use. MY SUGGESTION TO YOU AS A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER, confirm through email what is included and print it as your proof so on move day the movers can't try to charge you extra. Had this potential scam not happened I would have given 5 stars. Valdimir and Anton did work quick and efficient, not once did they seem to milk the clock which was a worry of mine. I did know of the 5% extra charge if credit card was used only by reading previous reviews, so I did pull out cash. Even though their bank charges the 5%, it would be good customer service if Titan was upfront about this charge. There was more good service than bad, we were pleased with Titan moving systems and we would hire them again if needed. read more

Steve and Fadi helped me move this past Saturday. For a 1 bedroom apartment, I was quoted 3 hours, 1 truck, 2 movers. Immediately upon entering my place, Steve and Fadi mentioned that I have a lot of stuff for a 1 bedroom. The move ended up taking 4.5 hours, and I paid $311 + tip. I got a stellar deal!! I got the yelp discount ($20 for $50), a cash discount, and a military discount (thanks to my hubby). Steve and Fadi were wonderful!! Nice guys, very hard working and efficient, and honest. They took a 15-minute lunch break after we were done packing up my old place and on the way to my new place. They got lost (understandable because my new place is in a huge confusing complex) so they deducted 30 minutes from my total. They also did not count the 15 minutes it took to sign paperwork and get settled in. Very fair. The only negatives were that a couple pieces of furniture were 'dinged' or scratched in the moving process, which I honestly don't care about because they were from Ikea and that always happens when you're moving no matter how careful you are. Also, they did not like my desk! From the moment they saw it, they did not want to move it or take it apart. I understand that it's a pain in the butt, but if my fiance wasn't on Navy orders he would've done whatever it took to get the desk into its new home. I felt like they gave up on the desk and overestimated how long it would take to find a solution. It's still sitting in my living room... But my friend realized that all that needs to happen is for the office door to be taken off the hinge and then the desk will fit. Hopefully I can get some help from someone else with that soon. Also, I requested several wardrobe boxes from Shannon, knowing that I have a lotttt of clothes, and they only brought 3-4. We definitely needed more! If you love your stuff, don't use them! Irresponsible company! Not worth it. I used their service 2 months ago. At the end of the day, there were some damages on our furniture due to their negligence to wrap blankets to our furniture pieces even when I insisted and reconfirmed with them. I contacted them to file claim for liability insurance which the coverage next to non-existence. I'd prefer my furniture intact to this paltry compensation. I've used Titan to move us 4x now from short moves to a long one over the last 3 years. After being severely screwed the last time we moved and nearly went to court over being double charged on move day (we had to use another company due to my boyfriends job relocation policy) I learned my lesson. Titan, by the way, had quoted us $1600 for that move that was 4 hours away while the moving company we ended up having to use, after quoting us $2100, ending up charging us $4000 on move day. Originally they used to come out and give you an estimate, now they charge an hourly rate..but I've found the bill came out nearly the same. There are never any surprises with this company, no hidden charges, they call/email to confirm your appointment, then call 1/2 hour before they get there..and on time no doubt, take a ridiculously short break after working their tails off and have never damaged my furniture. I've had several estimates for a few of the moves and they always beat everyone's price. I asked for more movers this time and they killed it...they were ahead of me this time almost had to wait on me tying off my loose ends..and I'm a creepy organized mover. Make sure you get a good idea of how much furniture you have as my stuff cuts it close in their 26 foot truck every time. I've had different guys each time and never is there a slacker. They gave me free wardrobe boxes to pack the weird garage stuff (taking them back with them when they left), and no charges for tape...etc. People...the moving business can be a huge scam, where they do a lowsy job of verbally estimating your needs and then nickle and dime you to all the way to the bank where they hold your furniture hostage until you pay them. So trust me when I tell you...this company is the ONLY way to go here in San Diego. I only wish I could have afforded to tip them more :) read more

Our original movers canceled a few days before our move, which was the last Saturday of the month, so we didn't expect to find a decent company with availability. Fortunately, Titan was available, quick to respond and agreed to our HOA's requirements. The movers, Sergey and Sergey, called an hour in advance to remind us they were on the way and showed up ten minutes early. These guys were awesome! Professional and courteous - from the front office to the movers. They called to confirm and when they came they were on time. I can't say enough great things about them. We called them last minute and they were very accommodating. We had to move our stuff into storage but once we find a new home we will definitely be calling on them move again. I also used the discount coupon I bought off of Yelp, but I forgot to give it to them at the time we moved. I called the front office a week later to see if I could still get the discount. I would not recommend them. I hired 3 men/truck, they arrived about 15 minutes early, which was fine. We moved from a storage unit into an apartment. Two of the men were Russian and one American. The American was very courteous and professional, one of the Russian men was quiet, but seemed polite, but the other Russian man was very pushy, demanding and impatient. He made it seem like the job was wasting his time, infact at one point I mentioned that I was paying for this service. When we got near to the end of emptying the storage unit, he decided they were done with that part and the "little stuff" was just wasting time. They broke a piece off of my computer desk, and were very rough on my boxes. When we got to our new home, I asked them to put as much of the boxes, etc. in the 2nd bedroom and I stayed in the living room directing where to put furniture. After they left, I went into the bedroom and I couldn't believe what I saw. The boxes weren't stacked neatly, but they looked like they were either tossed for just dumped in there. I'm afraid of what I'm going to find as I start to unpack. I have loads of glassware and breakables....I hope it's all okay. My recommendation, keep looking....I would not hire them. read more

So I recently used Titan to do a double move: From my old apartment to a storage unit and a week later from the storage unit to my new apartment. Considering I was doing two moves in such a short time I wanted something cheap yet professional (I know, asking for too much) but Titan delivered. Pros: *On time (actually half an hour early and waited. During the second move, I accidentally scheduled for them to arrive at 8.30am then changed it last minute because the storage unit didn't open till 9.30 and they waited and didn't charge me for the time. *They were the cheapest service i called (and I called a lot of movers in San diego). * The guys moved super fast * They wrapped up all my furniture nice and perfect * Nothing broke ( I was so worried about my large tvs. Everything came in one piece. Even my box with dishes that I had to pack last minute and did such a terrible job. Not a single glass or dish broken. The guys carried it with them in the front of the van. *They were really courteous. * Such a pleasant experience. All I had to do was relax and they handled everything. Even put boxes labelled in the right room. Cons: I have one really. They were never available by phone. It always went to voicemail but they called me back within an hour. read more

Titan was a tremendous help with my move. I don't really have anyone to help me during the week, so I found them on Craigslist and they were able to schedule me in exactly when I needed. I ended up having to make some changes w/ the time and location, and they still were able to meet my needs. They confirmed the day before and also called me the morning of to let me know they were on the way. I had a storage unit packed full of tons of boxes, bags, and other odds & ends and they brought everything to my third floor apartment with no elevator. Even with the drive from Spring Valley to down town San Diego all the trips up & down those flights of stairs, they still finished in exactly 3 hours which was the minimum I would have to pay anyway, so it worked out perfectly. I'm using them again when I move all my furniture & other belongings from my old apartment to new apartment. Definitely worth it! read more

I would advise no one to use this company. They gave me a quote over the phone and then came to my residence late and tried to process gauge me. After arguing and haggling I settled on a price that was 500 more than the quote. They put unnecessary tape and other "packing" items on my furniture which they charged me for and didnt protect from being damaged. The mover stepped on blankets that I threw out because I didnt know what diseases they may have had and one of them had the nerve to defecate in my restroom to which o had to disinfect and bleach repeatedly. Disgusting!!! They guaranteed my items would be delivered out of state by a certain day and I did not receive them for 6 weeks. I had to sleep on the floor and buy a mini fridge with money I did not have. I called nearly everyday and was lied to and finally just as I was about to get the FTC involved as well as an attorney they sent my furniture to be delivered by one person...this person damaged my bed and the mattress that was in their storage facility was filled with mold. In the end they ended up paying me a per diem because they kept my items longer than legally possible. Usually I tip movers but I gave this man NOTHING.I did not file a complaint with them because it was useless and after dealing with them I did not feel like being attached to this sham of a business anymore. TItan Movers stepped in when my original movers bailed on me. Alex the scheduler was professional -- they are priced competitively and sent a confirmation promptly after we spoke. The two movers, Anton and Gary were great - careful and methodical with my stuff. There was a minimum of 3 hours and really they could have moved my stuff in 2-2.5 hours or drag on to get some extra time. Instead they didn't get on the clock until they were absolutely ready to move and got off the clock when they took a 15 min break. In the end, I got my full 3 hours. They came they wrapped, they moved all our stuff. They were an hour late but called to tell me that. Friendly guys but i would probably recommend getting 3 guys to get it done faster so one can wrap and two can take down to the truck as wrapping takes ages. I will use them again for sure read more

Again, Yelp needs to have negative stars for the businesses that earn it. This is one that simply needs to disappear of the face of any map. Skedaddle, hit the road, beat it, take a hike, make like a ghost and completely disappear. We have all had bad service, but then we have the horrible service that you even tread lightly around yourself so you don't punch someones lights out. I didn't just want to punch the mover's lights out, I wanted to give him a San Diego Blackout. Horrible, it pisses me off that I had to pay for horrible service. Total paid $1023. It was amazing! Believe me, I have been wanting a Louis Vuitton purse, but have found it too much to spend right now, but Titan Movers are too much to spend even if it is $1. I don't even know where to begin. Should I start at correcting the math that either Yeldos, Gorik or Yelsur put on my invoice? I don't know which mover was the lead because no one would tell me their name. I am taking the name off of the invoice. When I told him that his math was wrong, he looked at me like...you bitch, how dare you correct me, it is only $50 off. Was it that it took over 10 hours to move an apt of 1100 sq ft? Everything was boxed, my peeps were overly transactional and we were hauling crap ourselves. Was it that they saran wrapped all of our furniture that I packed shit in my car and drove away and the same guy was still wrapping my chair? Was it that they said that one of the movers would sit in the truck so that nothing would get stolen or they get a ticket? Are you kidding me? I am paying for a mover to SIT, not load, but SIT in the truck so that you don't get a ticket. Am I angry that they spent so much time wrapping needlessly, but the items that should have been wrapped, they had run out of saran wrap so it got scratched or broken? Was it that the building manager had to come talk to me 7 times because the movers were jerks. The second building manager complained 13 times!!! Yes, 13 times!!! It was so bad that the manager at my new place said he would close off the elevator because he did not want these guys in the building any longer. All in all, I have never had the urge to hurt anybody, but I sure did feel it this time. Man, I wanted to take the skinny lead mover and vent.... From my honest observation, these movers treated customers like they resented them. They treated us with anger and disdain as if it was my fault they had just arrived to the US. I wish I could apologize for my success, but it takes a lot of drive and dedication along with sacrifice to bring my butt to The Harbor Club. They can start by smiling and being respectful. My mom taught me that and she came from Mexico not knowing any English and she till knows a little, but she knows how to look for success not shame like these movers. read more
