I was put in a very difficult position due to the air conditioning company that I hired to repair the ductwork on my property. After they started the job it was discovered that they were unqualified to remove the ductwork and insulation properly. I wasn't aware that houses built in the 1960's used asbestos and throughout the house. The asbestos needed to be properly removed before any repair work could be performed. However the company gave me the impression that they were skilled and licensed to perform the removal. It was never mentioned to me that specific steps needed to be taken when dealing with asbestos. While removing the damaged ductwork they disturbed the asbestos thus making the house uninhabitable. Tony's company was brought in to perform the test for the asbestos. Asbestos was detected. Tony was very professional and helpful to explain the situation and provided information of what the next step entailed to resolve this matter. The testing report and procedure 5 plan was prepared by Titan. The report and work plan needed to be submitted to the SCAQMD for approval. His knowledge regarding this matter was absolutely first rate. He helped guide me through this difficult process. Completely unresponsive. They don't do wall samples. Their outside air sample was too close to the house . They did not have a diagram in their report showing where their samples were taken , and their report was riddled with errors. Phone calls and emails did not produce results. The bad reviews were correct about this company. My public adjuster insisted on using them. They dragged their feet from the very beginning by a couple of weeks, and again for the report, and now the report is flawed. And no response from the company. read more

I spoke to Tony about a couple tests I wanted to run based on my health symptoms and honestly, after speaking with him, he gave me the idea that fixed my solution without testing. Let me explain. I thought I had a mold issue but it was a leaky air duct in my ac throwing in insulation. Instead of charging me an arm and a leg like most companies, Tony was amazing at explaining how to go about finding the problem and if testing was necessary he would help. Guess what? I never hired them directly, they got hired by my public adjuster secretly without my authorization and knowledge. What made them more disgusting was the second time they only came to my property and took a look, never did any sample collection or test. More than a review, this is a piece of advice if you have decided on using this company to inspect your property. Please be sure "YOU" as the property owner, are the individual(s) paying for the service directly to Titan Environmental. Do not pay a 3rd party such as your construction company or consultant and in turn have that company pay Titan with their own personal credit card (As we unfortunately did with Ashley from Renovex/Elite). If you do so, Titan will not release any information to "YOU" the home owner, about your inspection results, nor will they give you a receipt for the work they did in your home. In addition, only the company you signed a contract with will have privy to the report and receipt. You will only be entitled to a receipt stating the dollar amount your contracting company decided to quote you in order for them to make $$$ for setting up the appointment with Titan (This could be hundreds). As for our case, we received an email from our consultant stating "You have asbestos and need abatement". Unfortunately, we'll never know the exact price we paid for the inspector to came out for a ten minute visit to scrape an inch of stucco from our ceiling. Had a roof leak, discovered by a wet dining room table. : ( . Called Home Insurance. Days later, they sent these folk out to handle the job. They were stellar! They explained the work and put our fears to rest around enhaling from the work in one room. They taped the room off and went to work! Through the clear plastic, we could see what was being done, but didn't see any dust fly out of the barrier they'd made. The original review: I had a poor experience, and came to mistrust their approach. I called them in regard to an asbestos cement tile roofing removal job (we already knew it was asbestos cement). The representative listed a series of tests, amounting to hundreds of dollars, that would be required to meet air board regulations prior to an abatement firm operating. 3 separate tests for each material on the roof from the tiles to the roofing mastic to the underlay and on and on. There could be many different materials they advised, so an exact price could not be predicted in advance. The sales pressure was intense, and Titan all but threatened that we'd face severe personal liability if we did not hire Titan. But it turns out nothing was needed: in the end we dropped Titan, and had a licensed and bonded abatement firm do the simple paperwork, no testing required. read more
