Took my Audi for the third time to this place and seems like every time I went they tried to squeeze more money from me. This third time I kind of had enough went to change the plug in my car from 9am to 3pm finally call me to tell me that I need to replace the flex pipe and that it was going to cost to get it done about $4,000 and because the plug for oil change was done now I need to change it again after a few weeks when this was done. Then a manager called me instead of being about the customer and be apologetic for all the trouble says to me that I won't be fixing your car because you're not happy meanwhile this money was already taken from me and the time loss. By the way his the manager and his name is Joseph Glasson if he did not lied. I will connect with his corporate for the bad experience and the rude attitude. Travis at the front desk who claims to be a certified mechanic is dumb as fuck. He at one point 2400 miles ago said an alignment was conducted on my truck. I proceeded to take him out side and pointed to the upper control arm that could be adjusted to fix my front tires which had the top of the tire leaning in toward the engine. He then put it back in the bay and 're did the alignment. At which point the truck was fixed. While driving home the truck would dip a lean side to side so I scheduled an appointment for the front end to be checked the next day. I was charged for the service. I have the 3 year alignment warranty on my truck so today I called to schedule an appointment and was told by this fuck tard that as long as I was here before 6pm I could get an alignment done. *** notice it's 5:42 pm and I'm posting this. However I'm now told I have to make an appointment for the next day , ***note I'm still here now and Travis advised me that they never did the alignment last time when I got the oil change they only made an adjustment to the above stated problem ( upper control arm) because I requested it. Im beyond pissed because tires plus allowed me to drive 2400 miles thinking I had and alignment that wasn't done. Or was it? I don't know because I received a copy of the alignment work that was completed! But he says they didn't do anything other then what was requested by me as a courtesy! . Also for a certified mechanic one would think when selling windshield wipers he would know how to do this simple task. WRONG I had to bring back the windshield wipers from my BMW AND THE STORE MANAGER KINDLY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. Don't go there unless your dealing directly with the store manager, he is excellent and actually cares about his store unfortunately he has people who lie to customers working the desk! On a separate occasion I called to get a price on some firestone tires and the lady who picked up the phone (Alexsandra) had no clue what tires I was talking about and I had to explain to her tires plus sells fire Stone tires. I came in today for 4 new tires and an oil change. The customer service was great and they actually finished in just a few hours. It was dropped off around 12:30 and ready by 4. I had to leave work to come pick it up and rush back, I went in and paid the total $1009. The man checking me out said "all good, we suggest new break pads soon but nothing urgent". He handed me a paper and said this is a quote for the break pads if you decided to do it here. I left and went back to work. When I got to work I pulled out the sheet and read it over and noticed in the notes section it said "left break light". I'm thinking surely they didn't KNOW my left break light is out and not call and see if I wanted it replaced in the hours they had my car considering you can literally get pulled over and get a ticket for something like that.....I called and while it's not her fault what so over, the woman on the phone tells me "yes it is out" "yes I'm sorry we should have called and asked"......"we see here that it's under suggestions not approved by owner....lol they only thing you ran by me were break pads, not an entire tail light being out. that would have been nice. I had brought the car in because I leave early morning to drive 3 hours away and wanted everything on it good. Her only solution was "you can bring it in tomorrow morning and we can resolve with a discount". (I know this wasn't her fault, she wasn't even the one to do my check out process when I picked up) don't need a discount. I took my car in for a Oil change. Also, asked them to please fix my left door inside handle since it was not working. So, after waiting almost 3 hours and realized that the Lobby was clear of all the people that were in there after me gone. So, I got up and asked what was talking so long. The kid at the front counter Joseph I think said that we are waiting for your part to arrive. I said what part to arrive. He said the side door handle part. I said you NEVER said anything to me about me waiting on a door handle part. He kept say that it was a miscommunication. I told him that it was NOT a miscommunication. I told him Give me my Freaking car now. If, I had known that I had to wait for a part I would of said NO and I will come back another day. They are liars at this location. I knew my tire had a nail in it so I took it in for a patch. They told me they would not patch it because it's on the sidewall and insisted I buy a $214.00 tire. I said no thanks and left. I went to another company and told them I have a nail in my sidewall and I need to buy a tire for a better price. They said the nail was definitely patchable and they patched it for free. These guys are scammers! I took my car in to get my tires balanced and rotated. They quoted me $47. I was fine with that. Then after about 15 minutes the guy comes and gets me to show me all the things wrong with my car. They said they couldn't rotate/balance my tires unless they did an alignment. Also said my tires were worn and needed to be replaced. They found a nail in one of the tires but said they couldn't fix it because of the condition of my tires. They gave my list of everything they needed to fix including 'steering and suspension', 'fuel system cleaning', 'alignment' and 'tire package'. Total was around $1245.00. Told them I'd think about it. Took my car to Costco. They said there was nothing wrong with my tires (didn't think so since they are less than 1 year old), they rotated/balanced my tires, fixed the tire that had the nail and put on my new hub caps. For a grand total of $35!!! This is not the first time Tires Plus has done this. Last year they said I needed around $1100 worth of brake work done. I had taken my car in because of a squeaking sound. I took my car to another mechanic who was able to fix the problem for $80. Stay away from this place!! read more

I brought my car in for an oil change last week. After they changed the oil, they said everything checked out fine. The next day when I went to drive my car, my check engine light was on. I took it back to Tires Plus and explained that the light was not on prior to taking it to them . They tried to convince me that it was simply a coincidence since it was an "older vehicle." They ran diagnostics on the car and told me that 2 separate sensors were on and to fix what was wrong , it was going to cost $1500. I certainly was not about to take their assessment without getting a second opinion, so I did just that. I asked friends and got a name of Mike the Mechanic in Winter Garden. The new mechanic did a thorough review of the car and explained that the sensors could have been triggered by a number of simple things. They said NOTHING was wrong with the vehicle . Needless to say I am ecstatic that I found an honest and ethical garage... this place however is not! Save yourself time and money and stay clear of this place. read more

I arrived and talked to Steve at the desk who walked out to my truck to confirm details with me then quoted me an hour wait. I left everything in the truck (purse, iPhone) and went for a run. The alternator on my 1999 nissan maxima went to wack. It decided to stop working randomly have no idea why wish i did. My car is in front of my house i try jumping my car to turn it on thinking maybe its just my battery my rpms r dropping its not getting enough power its my alternator. I tow my car to tires plus to get my alternator changed well get a dianostics. They tell me that it is my alternator they quoted me 400 dollars to change my alternator! Thats about a 2 hour job with a part that cost 100 bucks 300 for labor 150 a hour ! I would never pay for that normally but since i just moved down here from nyc i dont know any other place but i highly dont recommend this spot there con artist in the blind! read more

Firstly I would say the counter staff seem professional and courteous, but if you want to pay dealership prices then just go to the main dealer. Also I believe there are some seriously dark practices going on behind the scenes here in the workshop to highly inflate the work required on your vehicle which of course will reflect in a highly inflated cost. read more

Had my car towed to this location due to a flat tire and the inability to remove one lug nut..received a call informing me I needed $1,600.00 worth of work done I was aware of the work I needed and just for fun asked their quote without the 4 tires they recommended their response $1,200.00.... I had gotten a quote from action gator Goodyear for the exact same job that was $600.00... Finally after all the info I didn't need and my rejecting their offer I was rudely informed my tire was unable to be repaired and that I NEEDED all 4 tires due to inside edge wear that was "DANGEROUS" as well as a "warning" that if i were to drive my car over a speed bump or pot hole my "Wheels would fall of"..upon expecting my tires there is plenty of life on them and the tires will not just "fall of" If your way of doing business is by using scare tactics in your customers or assuming because your customer is a female they are stupid you are sadly mistaken. The staff is rude, full of lies and beyond shady...this is a bad business STAY AWAY But if you and your trustworthy mechanic need some entertainment and something to laugh at stop by let them waste their breath and paper on all the things you won't need...gave us a good laugh today. read more

I went in there to get my tires changed expecting it to be an hour or so but then it ended up being two hours (10:45-12:50 give or take a couple minutes) because they had to do additional work. About 45 minutes in they asked if I wanted new wiper blades and I said yes. Big mistake on my part because that was the additional work that took an extra hour to get out of there. To top it all off when they were finally done I saw them park my car and I was still there just there waiting for 20-25 minutes. Not only was he able to get us in and out unlike most places that make you sit around and wait longer than what they originally quote you a time frame on ; but he also informed and helped fix a problem that the last place he took his car to get oil changed had messed up his windshield wiper fluid connecter ( which they claimed they fixed and did not )... Deceiving and disrespectful! My wife came by to change her oil, and was told she needed new tires because hers were "running on the rims". Well....her tires are brand new. After I looked at it closely, my guess is that she still got a good 2 years on them, based on the amount she drives. Secondly, as she went to pick up her car, the mechanics on duty (11/18/2016 around 11am) were cat calling her. What kind of respectful, professional establishment would do those things? I wanted to drop what I was doing and go in to talk to the manager, which probably wont even read this, but in the words of my wife "no harm no fault, leave it alone". My 2012 Honda civic had an engine check light on and my wife's Mitsubishi,it looked like had a battery issue. So took them to this location on KirkmanRoad and I was told that you need a new battery as well as alternator. And to fix the Civic check engine light and replace the battery and alternator would cost $1300.00. So my wife advised me to get a second look at the Auto Zone next door. They checked the engine light free for me and told me that it was because the gas cap was little loose. Was fixed in 30 seconds. And was told that alternator is working fine. Today, I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. This took 1 hour and 40 minutes. By the time I got home (15minutes), my truck would not start. They did not put the cap back on the air filter. When we called to speak to the manager, he said I will talk to my employee, that is it nothing more. Went into Tires Plus while on vacation in Florida due to the air conditioning in my wife's 2011 Buick Enclave blowing hot. Air was working fine on the drive down from South Carolina. Went to see if they could just add Freon until we got back to South Carolina and have the dealership take a look at it and were told that they would have to run a diagnostics. Didn't not take long at all to run the diagnostics and come back with an estimate of $2400 ( New cooling fan assembly, new compressor, Freon and misc. shop supplies). We were told the car had run hot previously, which it had but had also been repaired by the dealership before the trip. The Manager told us that when it ran hot it blew all the Freon out and destroyed the compressor. While he was explaining all this my Mother in law called the dealership and spoke to the shop manager and we were quoted $1200 for the same repairs if the dealership had to do it. Meanwhile the manager was kind enough to inform us they had all the parts in stock at his supplier and they could have the repairs done by Friday when we were leaving, also meanwhile the manager told us the car wouldn't make it 5 miles before running hot again. We politely declined the repairs and chanced it on the return trip. Luckily my parents were able to drive the car home while we took theirs on the last part of our trip. Car made it home fine and once home was looked over and found to be low on Freon, imagine that. $50 worth of Freon and 3 weeks later car is just fine and haven't had anymore trouble out of it. Buyer beware, this shop tried to take advantage of a family traveling with 3 children all under the age of 6 and scare us into bogus and overprices repairs. I do not know if this tactic is sanctioned by the company or just this shop but be weary of anything they say. Glad i'm just out the $40 for the diagnostics and not a whole lot more. Still wish i could have my $40 back and compensated for my wasted day of vacation due to their lies and misleadings. Manager went on and on about his 10 plus years experience in auto repair and such but i'm seriously wondering if they vetted this man before they hired him, I've managed million dollar businesses and the best lesson i have learned is just to be honest with your customers. read more
