Called this location at about 9:30am on a Sunday. They let me know that I could drop my car off to investigate the "Check Emission System" notification that I was getting. Dropped it off at 10:30am and was assisted by Kevin who was friendly. Called them at 4pm to check in on the status. They informed me that there was a leak in the EVAP system but they could not identify exactly where the leak was and they needed to do a smoke test but would need more time to do it. They asked me to leave it overnight, however, I had to go to work on Monday. So I ended up dropping it back off 7am on Tuesday. Called them at 4:15pm that afternoon to check in on the status. Daniel the manager told me that they did not perform the smoke test. I asked why it was not done since that's the whole reason why I brought it back and left it there for 9 hours. He said he didn't know why the mechanic didn't do it but if I leave it overnight then he will waive the diagnostic fee (~$120). So I left it overnight and used my husbands car to go to work on Wednesday. On Wednesday, my husband called them at 4:45pm and they suspected it was the gas cap that was causing the error message. They were trying to locate the correct gas cap that comes from the dealership. Finally, on Thursday morning we went to pick up my car and they said the gas cap was going to take about a week to come in. So we ended up taking my car and getting the gas cap from the Honda dealership. Although they didn't make me pay for the diagnostic fee, it was still not an ideal experience and seems like it was unnecessarily delayed with poor communication. read more

This people have no respect for their clients I went over there yesterday to have my car aligned and they told me I would need to make a appointment to get it done so I made it for today 20 of July 2025 11 am! I went there at my appointment time and was told it would take them 34 hours to get a alignment done even though I told them i needed the car the next day in the morning to work and he just said we can't guarantee you we'll have your car ready for you !! The staff sat on the phone while customers waited in line and not one time acknowledged the fact we were waiting!! I had an appointment for 11:30 and I was on time. I have been going to the Longwood shop for a few years. The mechanics are OK. I can't say more because I have never gone for a major issue. What I'm complaining about is the terrible condition of the place. It is filthy. I did not dare go to the bathroom. The ceiling is full of old water water leaks. The walls have not been painted since who know how long. The door to go to the actual are where the cars are being fixed is so dirty that crud has built on it. The windows look like they have never been cleaned. The place is extremely busy and there's only one great male worker that does it all. I have never seen such a dirty place. The cement road is full of pot holes, filled with all kinds of screws that can puncture the tires. Please spend some money and give the place of total changeover. read more

Never come to this Pepboys or one located on colonial. They are managed by the same person, the service is horribly slow and no one seems to care. They just idle around and move as slowly as possible. No updates, no consideration of getting things done in a timely manor. I will never do business with Pepboys again...EVER!!!! read more

My over all experience was nothing to be desired. As I sat in the waiting room every other word from the office staff was a curse word. I get it I'm in a repair shop but that doesn't mean that you leave the professionalism out the door. Especially in the earshot of customers. I went in for a tire repair, paid for flat tire repair, went home and woke up the next day with a flat tire. My issue is if they couldn't repair the tire just let me know that. Instead of filling it up with air, saying they fixed it and sending me on my way. I went back the next day and was told the compressor wasn't working to see where the leak was coming from. I understand things happen but all this could have been resolved during my appointment the previous day. I ended up leaving and going to another repair shop 5 minutes away. Be very wary of the location in Union Park! Had a set of tires replaced and afterwards noticed that they had falsified the mileage on the invoice. I immediately went back and brought it to their attention and they told me they couldn't do anything about without sending it through to corporate and something to do with Carfax! They told me to call back in a week but still didn't have it fixed. It has now been about six weeks and still no call from them. I called and reported it to their corporate office and also reported them to Consumer Affairs. To this day, have still not gotten an answer from anyone. This shop quoted me $4,000 to fix my car up. Just got it done for $1,500 elsewhere. They also said I need a new suspension here soon, after the $4k round of repairs. Had my suspension thoroughly checked at my new auto repair shop - the suspension is fine. I had left a previous review for this shop about a time when they had me I Ubering back and forth every night for 3 or 4 days without telling me on any of those days that they again had to postpone my pickup. Theyve asked for thorough details which I provided, repeatedly, because during every contact about the bad service and outrageous quotes i got from this shop, Pepboys has asked me for all of the details and "escalated" the issues to somebody who would ask me for all info again then never follow up. The only thing we accomplished was me detailing the same information again and again. This review is about the cost of the services quoted, which I was supposed to have done here. i chose not to follow through with them and took my business elsewhere. I made the right choice. Otherwise, after 5 months of waiting, I'd be out an extra $2,500 and would be buying a suspension repairs for no reason. read more

Brought my car in a while back To a pepboys it's on 351 Avalon Park S Blvd, Orlando, FL 32828 to fix a coolant leak, they stated they fixed it and other issues such as a bad thermostat and charged me around 1,723$ for it. I went to another, mechanic to fix an oil leak because I felt Pep boys over charged me for previous services I had with them in the past, but I had no choice at the time. In addition to the oil leak the other mechanic found that I had a coolant leak, meaning my problem I paid Pepboys to do was never fixed and my car was still leaking coolant the entire time. I tried getting my money back, but the guys at pep boys asked for proof stating pictures would prove if they messed up, but when I told them I had the pictures on hand and the faulty parts they neglected to fix. Suddenly having physical and digital proof no longer counted and they refused to give me a refund while constantly lying to avoid disputes I've been having regarding the charge on my card. They sent receipts of another service with a completely different person and car to my bank to "show" they provided the services I asked for. I have sent two disputes now trying to get my money back because I have proof they never provided the service I brought my car over for and they have refused to look at it both times and lied about it. I tried talking to customer service, but they also just ignore everything telling me I need to bring the receipt from the other mechanic and the parts they fixed to the pepboys to look over. He told me this while threatening to close the case regardless if I did or not. I asked the customer service rep that if I didn't have the receipt or parts from the second mechanic would that mean the pepboys are allowed to do this? and he told me over the phone that if the team at a Pepboys decided to not fix the car and still charge full price, there is NOTHING they will do if I don't have the details on how ANOTHER mechanic fixed my car. Basically its alright to scam people and take their money without doing their jobs and the team at pepboys as well as the higherups at "customerservice" are all ok with it. I do not want to pay them for a service they factually did not provide me. I am arguing that they charged me for a problem that was never fixed and I want a refund on the grounds that I never got my problem fixed from them, so I shouldn't have to pay for a result I never got. However I have yet to hear back from them. These people are not a mechanic franchise, they are a bunch of con men and scam artists. Gamble your money and your car's future on them if you want and pray they care enough to do their job or not. read more

We were in town to see some family visiting when my car's coolant temperature warning came on. We had a two hour drive home, so I took it in to have them see if it was safe to drive. Terry was amazing and accommodating. They did t have the part in-house, but went out to get it and had us repaired and back on the road safely in a couple hours! While we were waiting on my car, we also watched as Josh assisted a older woman who was concerned about her brakes. He capped off her brake fluid and cleaned the leaves out from under her hood. She seemed worried about the cost of it all, but he didn't charge her a thing. It was sweet to see. If we were locals, we'd definitely be regulars! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I WILL NEVER USE PEP BOYS AGAIN!!!! I got a flat tire Friday night while out with my family, had to get my car towed and pep boys on LB McCloud was the closest for us, it was after hours, so we called in the morning regarding the service for a new tire and Luis gave us a few options over the phone after giving him the tire size and told us it would be about an hour long service after we dropped off the tire lock for my vehicle. Upon arrival we noticed his demeanor was a complete 180 from what we got over the phone, he seemed irritated and annoyed from thee moment we arrived, rolling his eyes at me after he asked me a question, however because he had not spoken to me until that point I told him to just give me a moment my husband will be right back, Luis made frustrated hand gestures and remarks towards me. Once my husband came back Luis informed us that they in fact did NOT have my tire and would have to order it. He gave us one option for the tire that was a bit more than our budget could handle at the moment but he then gave us another option that was more reasonable, however I would have to wait until Monday for that option, he pressured us into choosing the more expensive option and when he was on the phone to place the order we decided to cut our losses and wait until Monday however Luis got an attitude towards us, said he placed the order, while still on the phone with the tire company and rudely told them to cancel that order and just hung up on them and we told him we would rather do the cheaper option and he rudely responded No you have to do the more expensive option today or no service at all, proceeded to give us our key and tire lock back and walked away from us. There was another sales associate sitting next to him and I assumed with how he was dressed that he was the manager and he did absolutely nothing about the situation and pretended like nothing happened. This is by far the worst service we have experienced especially with the attitude that we received. We called a tow truck to get my car moved somewhere else for service and when the tow truck arrived they quickly blocked my car in and did not acknowledge the tow truck driver at all as he was telling them to please move the vehicle he's trying to pick my car up to remove it. My husband had to go and tell them to move that vehicle so we could leave. I would NEVER recommend anyone to get any services here. read more

Bad and dishonest....I've taken my car in 4 times for a brake issue. They replaced the brake pads and rotors but I'm still having issues. They keep saying they looked at it and it's fine but they didn't fix the issue. They didn't even look at it the past two times or write what they did to try to diagnose a problem. There's clearly a major safety issue still remaining with the brakes but they just don't care to even look at it. Same lights are still on and the same grinding sound still exists. They would know something was wrong if they actually looked at it. I'll take it to a shop that actually has integrity. Don't take your car here for any reason. read more

If I could give them a 0 rating I would. The location is Good Homes Rd. I stop by today inquiring about getting a lightbulb changed in my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Lt Limited. I spoke with Luis. I explained to him that I needed a bulb changed and that I had already purchased the new one. I was undmet the impression that he would get someone to look at it and change it for me and of course I would have given him a reasonable tip. Well to my surprise after waiting for him to get finished typing on his computer he had the audacity to show me two receipts. One had a price of $66.00 to change if I brought my own bulb and another price of $100 plus dollars to change without my own bulb. Mind you I had my own bulb and it cost $8.00 from Autozone. To put it in would only take 10 minutes max, my only problem was knowing exactly which one it was. I was in total shock!!!! This really let me know that Pepboys is a complete "rip off" and I would NEVER EVER go to this company again or recommend this company to anyone I know or anyone I don't know. I took 4 new wheels and 4 new loose tires at 9:05 AM to be mounted and balanced today with the hopes that couldn't take that long , when I walk inside and request the service the cocky gentlemen ask me if I had an appointment ? which I replied why I should ask for one so early in the morning ? , and I explained that my idea was to pick them up later if possible to which he agreed and I also explained to him that I was a regular customer since my office is just right around the corner , he accepted the job and say it will be done soon , well I stop by in my lunch break just in case at 2:30 Pm to see if they were ready but no luck but then the girl in the counter there assure me that , it will be done soon , then I came back at 5:45 pm and another person told me that they will do it by tomorrow ???????? I explained to him that wheels where drop as early as 9:05 AM and they should told me that and that their time frame was unacceptable to which he replied that this was his first day ... I asked for Vinny the old manager and he replied that this store was under new management .. Which I replied before I had a record problem 1 out of 3 visits but now there but 1 out of 1 was just terrible , same crappy service with different management then !! Tried them one more time. Quoted me a price to install brakes so I took my car over at 11am and dropped off. Got a call at 330pm that the district manager Omar (I think) stopped by location and said they wouldn't honor the price. $250.00. He got on phone and said it would be $400. He didn't deny the quote just said he wouldn't honor it. With that said my 4 cars will never see a pep boys again. Total scumbags. Not a 1 star that would be generous. Stay away. read more

**** update*** As I was beginning to leave, I realized that my keyless remote was missing. I went back in to the store and they did not have it. Gentleman behind the counter came to look and found it under my rug. Still with no apology. Horrible service. Not happy with the service or treatment to my car. I had some sort of a fuel problem with my 2002 Chrysler Sebring. I take very good care of my car, she has around 61,000 miles on it and in very good condition. Based on the reviews, I felt comfortable coming here rather then the other place I usually go which is not open on Sundays. Sunday morning I drove here with my hazards on and was told that it would be $100 for the diagnostic which I felt was fair. They said they would try to get to it that day but it may not be until Monday morning. Well, Monday rolls around and it is 3:45pm and still no call from Pep. I decided to drive up in my other car. I got an ear full of excuses on why no one had called me: the guy working on it was at lunch, he said he tried to call but no one answered, etc. Now, if indeed you are an auto service place working on someone's car and you indeed called them to give an update and get approval on any repairs you recommend, wouldn't you leave a voice mail message? That's when I knew that this was fishy business and that my repair price would be sky high. Sure enough they want $700 to replace my fuel pump plus $100 for the diagnostic. I kindly paid the $100 and proceeded to get my car towed to another place for a better quote price. I will have the work done for $300 I am not sure how this place has such high reviews, I was not treated kindly, I was told an ear full of unnecessary information and my car was parked with the hood up and things disconnected. So when were they going to call? It's very slimy business practice to make a customer wait that long for a quote and never call them. They assumed I didn't have another car and that I would be stuck paying their sky high prices. I do not recommend coming here. read more

I made an appointment online to get my oil changed at 6pm. I got an email saying that I cancelled my appointment, which I didn't do. When I called to ask why it was cancelled they told me at this location they don't do appointments past 5pm because if something breaks- which the guy on the phone says often happens with oil changes- they won't have enough time to order the part that broke and fix it. This location closes at 7pm and the guy on the phone says they don't take in any cars past 5pm? And he kept saying that the reason why they can't do an oil change past 5pm is because something on the car always breaks when they do an oil change and they won't be able to get it fixed in time for them to close. I personally have never had something on my car break while getting a basic oil change done, even when I have someone who is not a mechanic change it for me. The fact that this guy says that they break things on people's cars all the time while doing oil changes is very concerning to say the least. The customer service is really poor and it seems to me that the people working here are bad at doing oil changes-- since you know, things always break when they do oil changes, right. read more

Xavier almost didn't honor my 3 P.M. appointment because he claimed "Sundays are first come/first serve" and essentially told me my appointment didn't matter because he "promised all these walk-ins their cars would be done" before I arrived and asked me "How do you expect me to honor what I said to them because of your appointment?" He said I'd have to leave my car over-night and that "it sounds like you need a tune-up" before even seeing my car, which I had to fight with him in order to get him to do. While I was trying to talk with him, he was also stopping to talk with other customers as well, showing no respect/value for me as a customer. While arguing with me, he also stated that what I should have done was said "Oh. Well I guess I'll just make it for another day." when he told me my appointment wouldn't be honored because of how many walk-ins he had. This further showed his utter lack of concern/respect for my appointment I'd made and myself as a Pep Boys customer. - After arguing with him to honor the appointment and asking him at least 3 times to inspect my car so I knew what was wrong before just leaving it overnight, he finally offered as if he had just thought of it himself. - Once my car was looked at, he told me the service price of about $540, I asked if there was anything he could do because of my experience so far and our conversation earlier. He asked what I meant, I recapped with him what just happened and he said "the discount is already applied for that." and showed me the charge for the alternator (about $300, which upon researching, I found was the price for a brand new one, but I digress.). I told him that what he showed me didn't show anything about it being from my experience, but at that point I was exhausted and told him that "If that's the price, that's the price. I had a rather complicated issue on my Lexus SUV, and rather than take it to the dealer and spend thousands to repair it, John worked super hard to order the parts I needed and did it right the first time, no hassles or added "fees" for unnecessary work/labor, etc. You'll be treated fairly and get an honest assessment of what work needs to be done, and although they are super busy, they work hard to get you on the schedule and out the door as quickly as possible. I drive an extra few minutes out of my way just to come to this Peo Boys. The level of service Vinny and Manuel give is far above and beyond any convenience of a closer location. As a younger female it is frustrating going into an auto repair shop alone knowing that people will try and upsell you, that is absolutely not the experience at this Pep Boys. They take care of you and your car, they brought me into the garage to explain things on my car, they gave me tips on how to maintain my car, and they explained the differences between types of services. They were patient, and kind. They give accurate time estimates, and have Spanish speakers who can explain details to customers who need it. The other services and checks you get with an oil change make this place the best for your buck. I won't ever go to anyone else as long as Manuel and Vinny are here! read more

I recently purchased 4 tires from them and they did a great job at a very fair price (very competitive to Costco prices but they completed the job much faster as Costco tires can take hours on Saturdays). However, the 5 star isn't for that effort but our other car ended up with a small nail. So I took it them for a quick repair since this car also has almost new tires. They quickly lifted the car up and pulled the nail out and determined that it didn't puncture the tire at all. I was fully expecting to pay the very reasonable fee they had quoted but the manager said you are good to go sir. I did not purchase these tires from them and didn't expect them to repair for free but just very impressed with their professionalism and business practice. read more

I went here the first time for my 4 tires replaced as one was broke, they didn't have the size, but they could have them the next day, so I came back. It took longer to change all 4 tires, so I anticipated for that, I believe it took a bit more than an hour to finish. They did a fantastic job and they were friendly, I even seem all 3 brothers in the store the same time. Few months later, one of my tires broke again. I still needed to come back the next day, they didn't have my tire in store. As I purchased from them before, so this one wasn't expensive at all and they did a good job again. He fixed every concern, assured me it was a make worth keeping and brightened my whole life and changed my attitude towards my van. You cant ask for more. Made an appointment for 10:30am for a simple oil change. Car wasn't even pulled into a bay until 2 hours later at 12:30pm and I watched them raise the car up and then let it sit there for 10-15 minutes before draining the oil. Once they drained the oil the car sat there for almost 45 minutes until they finally lowered it and put the oil In. Over all it took over 3 hours to get a simple oil change. I went to another pep boys and the pep boy said, "Axel and brakes needs replaced, and you have a leak. Needs to be fixed TODAY, NOW, AT THIS VERY MOMENT." $680 please! I decided I've been driving all this time with no problem, a couple of more days for another opinion couldn't hurt. I went to this pep boys and the pep boy said, " Axel is fine, no leak, but need a brake job." $220 please!
