This all started by requesting an appointment online. When you request an appointment, it states that the appointment is not confirmed but a representative will contact you to confirm the time and date. I looked through all of my phone calls and emails (spam included) and recieved nothing. My appointment was never confirmed. But I learned they did walk-in, so I did a walk in instead. I did this at 3:30pm. The shop closes at 6pm. When I arrived the man sitting at the front desk was very rude and contradictory in all of his sentences. He stated that a diagnostic testing would be $206 for my car and would take over an hour to do (keep this in mind for further into my review). I have two lights on. 1. Low Brake Fluid. 2. Stabilitrak. I shared that my car had a low blake fluid light, and that online GM's are very common to have Stabilitrak problems when there is low brake fluid. The man finally agreed to come look at my car (but wasn't happy about it after cutting me off constantly in all of my sentences). He opened the hood outside and ask if any pedals were low. I told him no, and offered him my keys if he wanted to take a look. He refused to take my keys and started walking back to the building, turned around and said "actually let me take it for a drive". The drive was around to the back of the building where he pulled it inside. The car was not touched after it was pulled inside (literally watched through the windows). During the time that my car sat there, another customer came in for an appointment with a different car. The man was also very rude to this gentleman and was cutting off all of his sentences as well. During this converstation, the man at the counter shared that it would be $104 to run diagnostics on this vehicle (which is crazily $102 less then he quoted me? But dont worry this gets even better.) He also told the gentleman with the car that it probably wouldnt get done today because he was sending his guy home (mechanic). Keep it mind, it is 3:30pm and the shop does not close until 6pm. He then goes into the back and pulls my car back around. He comes inside with my keys and says "we dont do diagnostics here so you will have to bring it somewhere else". Quite literally CarX does diagnostics? Especially since YOU QUOTED ME A DIAGNOSTIC COST?! You arent the jiffylube across the street who quite literallly does oil changes all day. You just didn't want to. Now I cant wait for the response that they leave to every single negative review on here. "[Persons name] please contact at Customer Service at 1-800-876-6676, ext 2. Thank you." Take ownership for the way you treat people, because what you are doing isn't working. Maybe you should live by your own motto while you are at it... "For Service you can Trust."

I thought I got a pretty good deal with my Groupon coupon for a 4-wheel alignment with Car-X. BUT,…read moreI was pretty much just plain wrong. To begin with, the Groupon listing showed a Car-X located in Eden Prairie - good location for me, so I went ahead with the purchase. When I called to make the appointment, a woman speaking very broken English indicated that the Eden Prairie location had been closed for MONTHS. Hmmm - why is the location still showing as available on Groupon? She had no idea. Next closest location was Golden Valley. When I called in, they indicated I could just drop my vehicle off ANYTIME without an appointment and they would call when it was done. Unfortunately, I had no ride. When I told the gentleman this, he suggested - twice - that I "Uber" my car in. Someone please tell me why I would use Groupon to save $30, only to spend $40-60 to Uber to and from Car-X? I asked if they had a waiting room and the customer service rep on the phone indicated they did, so I made an appointment for 1:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon and opted to wait it out. I made it into the Golden Valley Car-X at about 12:30 pm. Older of the two men at the counter checked me in, getting a bit miffed when I told him that I had a Groupon and he said he had to redo my paperwork - he wished I would have told him that before he went through the work of putting my information into the computer. I reminded him that I had told him I had the Groupon when I made the appointment and was given a side-eye. Took my keys at 1:00 pm. He had told me when I set the appointment that alignments take about 1.5-2 hours, so I went to the "waiting room" to settle in. While I was waiting, I couldn't help but overhear the phone calls coming in - folks all being told to just "come on in and we'll take care of you right away today, no appointment necessary!" This on almost every call that was answered. Jeez, I thought - great service here! Yeah, right. At about 3:30 PM (yes, 2.5 hours later), a very wary-looking service tech came out into the waiting area and when I asked about my vehicle, he said it was just then being taken for a test drive BEFORE THEY DID THE ALIGNMENT. WHAAAAAAAAAAT? It hadn't been started yet? He said that he was the one and only tech on the job and was doing all he could to get to all of the vehicles as quickly as possible. He apologized and said that he had told the customer service rep in the front that my car should be started on since I had been there actually waiting for the job to be done and he was told to put others in front of me - as they walked in without appointments. When I asked how much longer it was going to be, he said once he got it back into the shop, he could get it done for me in 20 minutes. Again - WHAAAAAAAT? I was told a 4-wheel alignment took 1.5 - 2 hours. Am I supposed to feel secure in the quality of the work done in 20 minutes? Um. Sure. About 30 minutes later, the younger of the two C S Reps came into the waiting room and said my car was ready to go. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the amount of time I had waited, but once again was told I could have Ubered the car in and not had to wait. At this point, he got MY stink-eye. When I mentioned overhearing the phone calls and customers being told to "come right in", he said it was COMPANY POLICY to tell everyone that to get them in the door. OK, then. To be fair, this younger gentleman was at least attempting to be pleasant. On top of everything else, I was told my balance due after the Groupon was just over $14 for "fees and taxes" - no offer of any sort of break or compensation for the horrible service. (It was in the fine print on the Groupon website, so okay.) So there were a total of THREE employees manning this Car-X location. And only one of them was a service tech. Please, please, please - save yourself the headache. Pay full price for a wheel alignment somewhere else. It is well worth $120-150 not to waste half of your day for questionable service at Car-X.

Things happen and there's no reason to get upset about it. None of this was their fault that I needed all this stuff but they were very cordial and it was actually fun. $1300 later isn't that great but that's part of owning a vehicle. I've been going to this Goodyear for seven years and I just think everybody is so nice there and easy to get along with. They will match prices, they know what they are doing when it comes to product sales and install and if there is any issue I have no doubt they would make it right. The other big plus is the location. This location is in between two small malls so you can go get lunch or do some shopping or buy pet food or get a manicure while you have an hour or two waiting for your new tires to be installed. Oh and a final huge positive is that if you buy your tires here, you get lifetime free tire rotation!

Yes, service is requested to replace the rivets with black rivets that all match and are flush with…read morethe wheel trim. Tires Plus apparently slapped on whatever they could find at the time. Rivets within wheel well skirt were simply left off and not reinstalled. The wheel well skirt is loose and flopping around. Nearly $1,400 in shock replacement work done and this is the best they could do? Not acceptable. We called after noticing the white rivets. The person at the front desk denied any knowledge of anything. Lastly, after replacing all four shocks and all four tires with brand new tires, we were told by the manager Damian that the "Jeep Death Wobble" would stop. A month later It did not stop and was just as bad as before all of the above was replaced. We found a reputable and knowledgeable mechanic who replaced the tie rods. That has fixed the Jeep "Death Wobble." Tires Plus should have recommended that we go to a mechanic that could have checked the tie rods first before Tires Plus charged $1,400 to replace the shocks. Replacing the shocks AND the tires DID NOT solve the problem. The root cause of the problem was the tie rods. We wonder now if Tires Plus did a shotty job installing all four shocks?

Car didn't start the next morning, so we called the dealership and found out there is in fact a recall, and made an appointment. I made the appointment online super easy and only waited a couple of minutes. When I asked how much the bill would be today I was told don't worry about it. I pointed out that I had a new car since my last visit and still had the factory tires ( you get free lifetime rotation when you purchase their tires) The manager said that's ok we appreciate your business and want you to keep coming back. This simple gesture of appreciation means so much to me, in today's world of businesses taking customers for granted and customers taking businesses for granted this is so refreshing. Since moving to MN though, every time I leave my car with this location, when they are done serving the car, they park it and leave it unlocked. I grew up in very poor neighborhoods where crime was fairly frequent. You don't leave houses or cars unlocked unless you're inviting crime to happen. I know crime is likely less frequent here, but if it's not standard procedure, if a customerspecifically requests their car to be locked, Discount Tire should honor that request. Yesterday was the 3rd time that I specifically asked the employee not to leave it open, confirmed they knew where to place the key card and how to tell it was locked on my car (mirrors fold in). He assured me it would be locked. I let him know that it was especially important to me because my car would have my set of winter tires in it and I was going on a bike ride, so would not see a notification that my car had been left unlocked. When I came to pick it up, I noted to the same employee that the car had again been left unlocked. The employee insisted he had made sure that the mirrors folded in, but when I said it was still unlocked and I had purposely turned off my bluetooth to make sure it wasn't opening for my phone when I drove up, and I had received a message that it was unlocked, he said the car was too sensitive and too hard to figure out. I told him I'd had the car for 5 years and there hadn't been a problem previously. He then said that if I got a message it was unlocked, then I should lock it. I responded that I wouldn't know if they were still working on it, plus I think as a business that works on cars, they should know how to lock the cars that are in their possession. He put his hands up and said, "I guess your car is just too fancy for me to figure out. It's too fancy." At this point I was feeling embarrassed because other people in the lobby could hear him, so I just turned and left. Once I got to my car, I called their regional office and shared my experience. She said I should receive a call from one of this location's facility managers and that she would ask them to provide training for that employee about how to lock cars with card keys, but I never received a follow-up call, so it seems like their manager must agree with their employee's assessment that my 5-year old car, a car that my son just purchased a new one for $20,000 less than the average vehicle price in the US, is just too fancy for them. It's an average-priced car with a reputation for cool technology, but for some reason, too fancy for Discount Tire to lock when requested. Maybe our other 16-year-old car is too fancy, too. I'm not fancy. I just want my car to be locked when they're done with its service. I don't think that's an unreasonable request. I should not be made to feel bad for wanting Disount to figure out how to lock cars with key cards. UPDATE: the manager called me today and we had a very nice conversation. I do think that the employee tried to make sure my car was locked and I think part of the reason he reacted defensively was because he did try to ensure it was locked and wasn't sure how it ended up being unlocked. The manager mentioned that many cars now lock when the car fob moves out of range and that employees may need additional training to understand that card keys don't do that. The manager told me that the employee recognized that he had not responded in the best way. I also said that I understood that because I felt frustrated at not being able to ensure that my car was secured when it was in their care. Because I like Discount Tires and because I understand that even good employees can have a not great moment, I will be back to this store. I'll further update my rating then.

Starting this off with this......This shop and everyone who works there is AWESOME the BEST! I can…read morenot recommend them enough! I had what I thought or wondered was a MAJOR exhaust and muffler problem, as my car went from running normally to SO F@CKING LOUD one morning. So loud I wondered if my catalytic convertor was stolen. So I made the appointment same day, they diagnosed the problem with in an hour and while they couldn't fix it on the spot (needs a special part from a dealer) they found out that it was a fairly minor problem with minor time/cost to repair. And they not only did this they made an adjustment to the broken part to temporarily "fix" the issue until I can find a dealer with the part. And to top it off? They didn't charge me a CENT. Not for the inspection, or their time and effort in the short term fix. THIS right here is what a shop should be and customer service should be. Not only this, but they're super nice people who let me let lose about how happy I was, including hugging some of them. FIRST CLASS location all the way!!
