Awful custom service and experience. Was in to get a caliper replaced and a diagnostic of my vehicle. after getting a separate diagnostic done I can tell you this place will upsell you for everything! Not to mention how persistent their desk workers are for commission on the "firestone credit card", guy calls me 3 times in the span of 30 minutes to come down and sign up for the stupid card... I JUST DROPPED MY CAR OFF, HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO GET THERE QUICKLY?! Better yet, the worker tells me they will have my car done by "the end of the day", just to call them an hour before close, get put on hold twice, and whined to by the worker that he's the only one working. Supper convenient location to downtown. I brought my car in for an oil change and wheel alignment. The only downside is, I had made an appointment earlier in the week but somehow they were still waiting all day for the oil filter to be delivered, you think this would have been ordered ahead of time. Dropped off car at 8:00am and wasn't done till 4:00pm. If I didn't need my car all day this would have been a bad thing. read more

I brought my company car here for maintenance. The older man at the desk spoke as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He was extremely condescending. I presented the needed paperwork for service and billing. He kept flipping the book over, calling it "some kind of brochure", because he was not sure where to look to find the needed info. He then asked me to go get the VIN number off my car. His colleague finally jumped in and pointed to ALL the info on the lower half of the sheet. Everything needed for the appointment. I was there for over 2 hours with an appointment and there was only one other person being served. Frustrated, I asked how much longer it would be and they claimed they were "just swapping those wiper blades and it would be ready". I left shortly after. A week later it poured rain, my wipers had not been changed! They are streaky, they skip and I could hardly see! I do not recommend this location for service. Not sure if they found it funny to have me wait or used it as punishment for my interaction with the guy at the desk, but they won't get my business again. read more

I normally do not write reviews, but it is needed in this situation so someone else does not have my experience. As a young woman who does not know much about cars, I frequently get nervous when visiting an auto care facility because I feel as though I am likely to be taken advantage of. Unfortunately my worry was validated again today. I scheduled an appointment online for an oil change and filled out the info about my car there. I dropped my car off with no issues and waited in the lobby. When I was ready to pay, a charge of $92 appeared instead of the $30 I anticipated from looking online at the cost of a Standard Oil Change. The original man who checked in my car booked me for a Full Synthetic Oil Change without consulting me at all. He also was not apologetic in the slightest for the upcharge and made it seem like it was my fault for not giving more information about my car. The woman who was doing the payment process was the only positive of the situation, apologizing for the communication mix up and found an online coupon I could use to bring the cost down slightly. If only more people in this world were like her. I paid without a fuss since it was already done and to be honest I was a little flustered myself. While a $60 difference may not seem like much to some, for a broke college student just trying to get by that is a lot of money I was not willing to spend. $60 is my groceries for at least 2 weeks. Came in last week to order two tires last Thursday. Tires came in on the date of me posting, this came in an hour early for a service three hours later they are completing the job. I was told the reason is taking so long is that they didn't know how to get the tires on the vehicle bad service, need to find more workers that know more about Tires. Had 11:00 am oil change appointment 12/3123 at St. Paul Ford Pkwy location. Person at counter stated they're running a little late. Told man i typically have 30 minute wait. 45 minutes passes. I ask when my car will be serviced. He responds 15, 20, 25 minutes. Their excuse is there were cars being worked on before i arrived. Told him unacceptable and not my problem. I expect my appointment to be honored and demanded my keys. Man at counter said "sorry". I stated "no you're not!" His attitude was so dismissive. They initially didn't think I'd be able to pick up my car for two days, but staff went above and beyond and had me out in two hours. The only problem was that I was in a line and would have to wait two hours. I was going to change it myself in the snow. I came in today for an oil change and wind shield wipers to be fixed - the service was fine. I was astounded at the commentary that was made throughout the entirety of my stay in waiting room by the employee named Joe at the ford parkway highland park location in MN. There were racist comments made (not directed at myself) almost right when I walked thru the door. Then the Jumanji movie was put on in which he proceeded to sit and watch rather than work quietly during the entirety of my stay. He then took it upon on himself to discuss how he believes that Robin Williams was simply weak for committing suicide and he could not understand "how someone with so much money and fame would have enough problems to kill themselves, robin williams must have been weak" is what he said verbatim. His disgusting and thoughtlessly inconsiderate comments made me feel so uncomfortable. I was sitting about 10 feet away from him and could hear his entire rampage - he clearly found nothing wrong with what he was saying and I have never experienced someone so blatently insensitive. I will never be able to return to that location or support firestone as a company if these are the type of people in which they decide to hire to represent them. read more

UPDATE- I followed up with them, as they requested. No reply from Firestone. I had an 8am appt, the first of the day, to replace a tire for our daughters car. We had pre ordered what we needed 3 days earlier. The man scheduled the appt and said the day was 'wide open' and she would have no problem. Wednesday comes. my 17yr old daughter drives in at 759 am. At 1030 I receive a call, they are just getting to her car. They did not havethe tire in stock and had to order it, but golly, it would only take a half hour or so to get it, so it was her lucky day. Then came the speech about how we needed to buy 2 tires, again we were lucky, he would 'do all he could' to make it ok that we didnt get 4 new tires. FYI, all 4 of these tires had less than 5k miles on them. Long story short, she got out of a 30 minute appt, in just under 4 hours. Very unorganized, very shady guys. Stay away. read more

Update from previous 1 start review. I felt they could have checked and told me about worn back joints when I bought my tires. I don't look at them a lot but noticed bad wear at 9000 miles, found out ball joints were obscenely worn. I got them fixed have the shop bad review. However I went back and they replaced the tires pro rated so I had to pay more but now they are new again and I think it's a fair deal. Actually probably just a bit better than Fair so I'm happy. Better would have been if they gave the wheel a shake when I bought them and avoided the whole thing but they just a bit more than made up for it. read more

I made a reservation online earlier this week for an oil change and tire rotation. When I showed up today they were ready for me and serviced my car immediately. During the tire rotation they noticed some of the lug nuts needed to be replaced and they took care of it for no charge. They also applied a coupon to my bill at the end without me having to ask. I give the staff credit for being friendly but I feel like anybody would have been friendly and I probably would have gotten my car fixed faster. I made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon standard brake pad change using their online booking system on their website. I dropped my car off several hours early because I had commitments. When I dropped off my keys the clerk at the desk told me my appointment was not on their calendar. If you use this Firestone, I wouldn't rely on their online booking application. Just set up a time over the phone to be certain you are actually on their calendar. Also, they told me on Saturday they would have my car ready on Sunday (because of the error with their online booking system) but something must have gone wrong because they didn't even look at my car until today (Monday) and they just told me on the phone my car should be ready around 430 PM. They are popular, which is usually a good sign, but they are just too busy for a reasonable turn around time. read more

If you are looking for a very reasonable and experienced tire and battery repair shop, you should go straight to this store. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable about cars. I came to them after a serviceman at the Inver Grove Honda dealer said I needed a new battery and new tire rods (they were loose, he said) for my little Honda Civic. Honda wanted $845 for those repairs, so I called Firestone and they said it would be much cheaper and to bring it right over. I drove over and the men at Firestone looked at it for 45 minutes and found that the tire rods were just fine and that the battery looked like it had plenty of life in it. I asked them to check both one more time just in case they missed something, and they complied and I watched them test it. The test came back just fine; there were no problems with either. They said they were sorry that the service people at Inver Grove Honda had told me these things that were not true. Mr. Ike, the salesman at Firestone, said, "As much as we would love your business, we are not going to just take your money for a repair that does not need to be done. We will not lie to you like that." Hearing that as a young, college-aged woman from out of town meant so much to me, and it felt like they really cared about me. The experience meant the world to me, and it restored some of my faith in the auto repair business. I so appreciate what they did for me. My final repair bill was 70% more than what I was estimated. Nobody ever called and said it was going to more or get my consent. They didn't even tell me when they called to tell me it was ready. It was just presented to me when I came in with some lame statement that it was more difficult than they thought. I don't have an uncommon or older car and it was a fairly normal repair. I started coming here 3 years ago when I first moved to the area. The guys at this shop are super friendly, personable, and always seem to find me a coupon! I've never felt like they were trying to upswell me anything (unlike other garages). I brought my car in last week for a second opinion on breaks that another garage in the area was telling me I need changed (a total upsell). The guys at firestone said "your breaks squeak in the morning but that's not too out of the ordinary." Saved me a bundle! I always get my oil changes here and I have Lifetime free alignment. If it's still available, I deffinately recommend their lifetime alignment package, especially if you have a newer car and plan to keep it for a long time. With all the potholes here in the spring you will save a bundle over the life of the car! I get my alignment done every other oil change, free! this service was absolutely horrible! i had an appointment at 8 AM i was here at exactly 8, they than called my dad who made the appointment and explained to him that they didn't order the tire they were supposed to when he made the appointment on saturday so they couldn't start their jobs. coming back at 9:45 i noticed my car still parked where i parked it and they have not started it. they made me late for my job and didn't apologize to me. i don't recommend coming here. they were rude to me when i first walked in and if i were you i would rather drive on a flat tire than spend your time waiting in this place. the only upside i've had about this morning is they have chargers for you're phone because i guess everyone has to wait long. do. not. recommend. read more
