I got a jump from a hero and was able to get over to Tuffy. They fit me in with no appointment - and quickly! They were informative and quick. I left happy with a new battery and confident that my alternator and starter were fine. I was able to make my gig a couple of hours away and get back home. Fast forward to Sunday morning with a dead car in my driveway. Come to find out that the tech didn't clean off the corrosion on the leads from the previously bad battery and they didn't tighten down the negative either! I missed church, some work and had to spend time on the issue myself. Couldn't leave a message at the store during off hours. Left an email contact form on the Brakes Plus (Tuffy got bought) website and still waiting for a response.

I assume they must've spilled a little oil while doing the change and didn't think anything of it, but it progressively got worse. When I opened the hood of the car, I found that they had left my oil cap off. It was sitting on the shelf right inside. Oil had sprayed all over my entire engine and inside hood of my car. I called and spoke with the manager the minute I found this massive mistake. He told me to stop in and he would make it right. When I stopped in a little over a week later because I was working out of town, he told me since it was passed October 31. It would have to go to corporate for a refund. He assured me he would send the matter on corporate and I would get a full refund for the $230. I spent on services that left me with an engine that needed to be steam cleaned which cost me over $400. Here we are over a month later and I never did receive promised refund. When I called I was given the runaround with no resolution. I would never take my car to this location again, and I would highly recommend you think twice before submitting your vehicle to their unprofessional services.

They didn't try to sell me more services or tell me that I needed other fixes that were unnecessary. They talked to me about future break replacements when it's time they also discussed with me other maintenance that I may need for my car in the future but did not try to push any future sales. As a woman I felt very comfortable here that I would not be taken advantage of and that I would receive good service in the future. Adam and Isaiah were wonderful to work with they were friendly and honest. I will definitely go back to get all my car maintenance done here.

After the work was completed, I drove the vehicle home for the weekend. On my next drive, I noticed a burning smell. I pulled over and found that both front wheels were smoking. I had to call a tow truck to have the vehicle taken to another repair shop, where they found that Brakes Plus had over-tightened the wheel bearings when replacing the rotors. As a result, both sides now need to be replaced again. I have reached out to the store and corporate but have not received any response. I was able to speak with the store manager, but he has not been able to help with any reimbursement for the damage caused, or even for the tow truck costs to get the vehicle re-evaluated after the incorrect installation by the Brakes Plus technician. Upon taking it in, it was a routine check in/drop off procedure. They got back to me the same day, but here's where they won me over. My repair was fully covered under Jeep warranty, so taking it to the dealer would cost $0. Al, who advised me of my options said I could just go get it fixed free at the dealer (which he communicated to them before I went). The point is that these guys could have easily gone the "shady auto shop" route and charged me for something the warranty covered, but instead these guys were honest.
