Fool me once...actually fool me three times…read more Last three times I have been to Best One on 62nd: 1. Key fab broken. No acknowledgment, just transfer of blame. Got down right nasty when questions were asked. 2. Drop car off for flat tire in the morning. No call on status. I had to initiate the call an hour before closing. Then when I arrive I'm told it only needed air. Next day tire pressure light on. I take it back in and after further investigation there was a nail still in the tire. 3. Catalytic converter was stolen as my car was on the lot over night. No "hey I'm sorry about that" or acknowledging that is a big deal. I was told it has happened multiple times in recent months. That didn't put me at ease either. The technician Keyshawn who works at this location has never been helpful and he comes across rude. His go to line is "we were about to call you." In the past year Ive never felt welcomed at this location by Keyshawn or felt that my car has been in good hands. I've been a loyal customer for 5 plus years; however the past year has been much different. I'm not sure what has changed but my trust has been lost in Best One.

I was passing through Indianapolis and got a flat tire on my truck…read more I was not familiar with the area and stumbled across Tire Discounters. I was pulling a car hauler trailer and found it difficult to get in front of the building as it was very tight. I parked in the rear on the Menard's side of the building. I went inside and was instantly greeted by Gina. What a fantastic human being! I explained my situation to Gina and she went right to work to get me taken care of. Gina had me sign an invoice that said if only a repair such as a patch or plug needed to be done, it would only cost about $35. I was totally fine with that and signed the form. There were several employees in the shop area and there were only two vehicles in the shop that looked like they were wrapping up. After about an hour Gina told me she was going to check on the status of my truck. Gina returned and said it was only a bad valve stem and it shouldn't take too long. About another 30 minutes or so later, the manager came in to the lobby and asked me to follow him as there was a problem with my truck. As he showed me through the shop and out the back where my truck was, he told me an employee broke a light on my truck while lifting the truck with a jack. I had custom auxiliary back up lights mounted to the bottom of the rear bumper and during their work, an employee hit the light on the passenger side and broke the mounting bracket. The light itself was hanging by the wire harness. The Manager said If I gave him the info on bracket he would take care of it. I told him my greater concern was getting back on the road as it had been almost 2 hours to that point and I had another hour of drive time to get to my destination. The manager asked me what I was going to do about the light. I told him the light unplugs and I could just put it in the bed for now. The Manager reached under truck and pulled the entire wiring harness out from under my truck and unplugged the light, but by doing so he pulled the entire harness into the way of my trailer hitch. Now I have a damaged light, damaged harness, and I am seriously behind as several employees stood around the shop rather than helping to get my tire fixed. after 2 hours, my truck was done and I paid $39 and change. The manager was NOT rude and Gina was was awesome, but I really think this whole situation could have been handled much differently. I get this is business, but I've been a manager and am still a supervisor, and I would've done what I could to make better of a bad situation for the customer. 2 hours to replace a valve stem, breaking the light, man handling a wiring harness, then charging me for that service would not have been how I would've made sure the customer was taken care of. I get accidents happen, and I know there was no intent to cause damage, but it happened.

Also I have had flat tires repaired a few times, with no charge for the repair. Today I came in for a repair estimate for replacing the tire wear indicators on all four tires on my vehicle. The dealership charges over $1,000 for replacement and Discount Tire quote was $269.00. They accept walk ins but also you can make an appointment. Convenient location just off US 31.

Consumer Beware - Faulty Parts, Misleading Warranty, Zero Accountability…read more I am beyond frustrated with Tire Central and feel obligated to warn other consumers. I purchased struts from this shop roughly two years ago. They failed within a year. Getting the warranty honored was a battle--I had to fight relentlessly just to get them to acknowledge the failure. For six months, I complained about noise and defects before they finally "acquiesced" and replaced them under warranty. Now here we are less than a year later, and the replacement struts have failed again. This time, the shop flatly refuses to replace them, claiming they "only warranty one replacement." Think about that: You buy a defective product it fails they replace it that replacement fails you're on your own. That policy tells you everything you need to know about the quality of the parts they use. If they had to stand behind them beyond one replacement, it would clearly cost them too much. That's not customer service--that's a bait-and-switch business model that shifts the risk onto the customer. To make matters worse, after discussing this the day before, I was told to come in and that the job would take three hours. I took the morning off work, rearranged my schedule, showed up--only to be told then that they would not honor the warranty. Apparently this decision was "written on the log by the phone." So why wasn't I told before I wasted my time? Tony, the owner, will not return my calls. Instead, the staff hides behind "policy" and shuts down any real discussion. I've spent thousands of dollars with this company over the years. Loyalty clearly means nothing here. There are better repair shops, better prices, and far better warranties elsewhere. Learn from my mistake. I am now pursuing this matter in small claims court. Consumer beware--stay away from this repair store. And by the way the fact that they have a huge Goodyear sign on the building they accept Goodyear credit cards they are not a Goodyear store. I have found Goodyear stores to be much more reasonable and customer-centric. This is just all about profit..... Screw the customer.
