I picked this day specifically because it's the day before the big birthday party. So, where to begin, we arrived a little bit early and when we walked in the receptionist looked at my a little weird but I was like good morning. We're here for our appointments. She had that deer in the headlight type of look and wasn't responding back to me. I immediately knew something wasn't right. Nobody was in the salon yet anyways because they had just opened for the day. A lady walked out from the back and was like how can I help you? The way she was looking at us was not very friendly. I said again we're here for our appointments I know we're a little early but they're at 930. The receptionist was still fumbling on the computer and then they both said no we don't have any appointments this morning. I said no I definitely have 2. I called a few weeks ago and this is the date and time I was given. The lady from the back, I'm assuming the owner/manager asked if I received a confirmation. I said yeah the confirmation on the phone when I booked it. I then went into my phone call log and tried to show them the date which was September 15, weeks before today. The owner? Said we don't have you down and there's nothing we can do and I can give you a free pedicure after you buy one now and then 2 weeks after that you'll need another one so I'll give that one to you for free???!!!! In my head I'm thinking there's 2 empty pedicure chairs right here and there's 2 of you. Are you telling me you have no customer service at all that on her birthday with booked appointments you're not going to find a way to make this right??? Nothing. It's a Friday and no salon had open appointments. I am beyond upset at her lack of respect, accountability for their mistakes and zero help to alleviate my pain. I definitely will not go back. Do not spend your money here. Do not believe that you have an appointment even though you know for a fact you do and can prove it with your phone log of taking to them for 7 minutes. I'm like seriously after I just spent $100 over there. So I went back to Scottsdale nails. I told them I said look at my nails. I said they don't look like they were painted with gel and she didn't paint the sides of my nails very good leaving some of the nail exposed. Kaylee came and she took off the top coat with a machine they use. She was rude to me. Kaylee painted my nails . Instead of doing her best to fix my nails. She asked me how is this? They have they have the lights dim so it's really hard to tell if they're doing a good job or . not until you get out in the bright sun. I got outside and looked at my nails. My pinky finger part of it is painted to the nail bed and the other half is not two of my two fingers she left nail polish on. Kaylee put cuticle polish on my fingers and told me to rub it in myself instead when this is her job. I went back outside and came back inside and I told the receptionist does this look like I spent $50 getting a gel manicure? I told her I could do this myself. She just said why I don't know what to tell you. I said I know I live close by I'm gonna tell everybody not to come here cause this is ridiculous. Disappointing Experience, Especially for a Family Outing…read more Unfortunately, this was not the best experience, especially being new to the area. My mom and mother-in-law were visiting from out of town, and we wanted to create a special memory together with my 3-year-old daughter by getting manicures and pedicures. I specifically chose this salon because I saw photos of a little girl getting her toes done, so I assumed it would be a family-friendly place. After we were seated in the pedicure chairs with our feet already in the water, one of the employees asked how old my daughter was. When I told her she was 3, she immediately responded that they don't service children under 4 because "they don't sit still." Honestly, it wasn't necessarily the policy that bothered me, but the way it was communicated. It caught me completely off guard. My daughter has been getting her nails painted for quite some time, and I reassured her that she would sit still and be perfectly fine. After a little back and forth, I decided it was best for my daughter and me to leave without receiving any services. At that point, the special experience I had envisioned just didn't feel special anymore. My mom and mother-in-law were already settled into their pedicures, so I encouraged them to stay and enjoy their time. Unfortunately, they said their nail services were just okay, nothing particularly impressive. As someone who recently moved to the area, I'm always looking for great local businesses to support. I completely understand that salons have policies, but I also believe how you communicate those policies and treat your customers makes all the difference. What was supposed to be a sweet memory with three generations of girls turned into a disappointing experience. Sadly, we won't be returning.
