I was told parking is a bit harder, but parking is obtainable. It was easy to make an appointment for the Covid-19 vaccine at the location, so it was a wonderful blessing. It is located near a Mediterranean market and Famous Kabob and Karahi on the side of side of street of Home Depot. We were able to find all our over-the-counter medical supplies and even a cool refreshing drink in the refrigerator. We will be back for the 2nd vaccine shot. So hopefully we get a chance to know the surrounding shops.

This establishment is small and neat, with a strangely sparse amount of product on their shelves. Very strange. I was there for the jab, so I informed the tech of my purpose. I then went to be seated in an area with four other gentlemen there for the same reason. About five minutes in, the tech called one of the men up and informed him that they were unable to administer his Pfizer shot because of "some needle issue". The man was instructed to go to another location somewhere else in Laurel. The three other men were called up - one by one - and told the same thing. Naturally, I went to ask whether this needle issue also impacted me, a Moderna vaccine recipient. Nope, they had it. With much relief that I didn't make a blank trip to Laurel, I got the shot. This entire experience begged the question, why didn't the tech inform the previous four men about the needle issue when they first got there? And since each appointment was scheduled, why wouldn't the pharmacy have called the men to let them know before they drove there?

I was dispensed a wrong medication that caused me to have a serious side effect. Since the Rx was a new medication for a medicine that is only for men, and I am a woman, someone should have checked with my doctor office! My daughter had a photo taken at the CVS by our house, but her hair was cut off in the photo and it was for an official passport photo, and the service agent would not take the photo and said we needed a new one. Now we paid around $7 for the photos I believe, so I expected that I returned to another CVS and they would fix it, please. So the gentleman that was there, at first ask me for a paper that proved this, but I told him it's clear her hair is cut off in the photos when I showed him and I am only looking for a replacement. We trusted you to do a correct passport photo. And I think when he realized my sincerity, he said sure thing we will do it when the woman is done making her photos. The photo making machine was in front of the place where you pull down the backing and take the passport photos. The woman paid us no mind as we sat there waiting for her to finish up. It's like we didn't exist, but that is not CVS' fault. So once she moved, I got he gentleman again and he took our photo in like 5 seconds and took care of it all right away. HE was friendly and I said thank you for helping us out. He was sad to report that he had people calling out and I empathized with him. So I can appreciate he helping us knowing he was the only one in the store. The store looked pretty neat and clean otherwise and we were glad they were there close to the base where we were getting our passport photos. We were able to get right back to our appointment and get all our paperwork done. Pretty cool if you ask me.

I went online and it looked as though this location had both, but to be sure I called to confirm. I was on hold for 15 minutes. That is way too long. They should have at least picked up and asked to be placed on hold. When I arrived in the drive thru, there was a car in front of me. My appt was scheduled for 10:45 and I waited for a few minutes so I wasn't seen promptly. The pharmacist asked if I have ever taken a Covid test before and I said yes, but that it had been awhile so he walked me through the steps. I was impressed that my results (negative) came back the next morning. If you are short on time, I would not suggest this location for appointments unless you go inside. Also, be prepared to wait awhile if you are trying to reach them by phone.

From visiting new doctors to new medications, getting my 'scrips filled has been nothing but seamless here. No matter the time of day, including the dreaded 5-6pm hour, I've yet to experience a line. Today's experience showed me just how attentive they are (again). When ringing me up, the nice tech noticed I had no refills left on my specific medication and offered to reach out to the prescribing doc's office. No need since I was meeting with the doc again soon to reup, but the proactive offer was certainly appreciated. That's the kind of tech I'd want filling my meds.
