This salon made me feel like an absolute queen. I'm low maintenance, things I wear or carry aren't really pricey. But here I felt so amazing, as if I were high maintenance. I felt like I was put on a pedestal. The nail technician was phenomenal in every way, shape and form. Her name is Chloe and she is SO good at what she does! Incredible! Lina was my stylist who gave me beautiful, perfect long layers and I will never go to anyone else again. My mom had Nikki and she made a perfect chic short bob. I had my hair cut and colored (highlights) by Bonnie Kiefer at Tipsy Salon yesterday and she did a fabulous job. First, she spent a good amount of time on the consultation to find out exactly what I wanted and what I didn't want in the way of both color and style. She listened. She had to spend a little extra time but it was worth it - I have a beautiful cut and perfect color. Everyone was friendly. Bonnie is very professional. I am really picky about where I go get my nails done. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I went for a pedicure and manicure. I got a regular manicure and upgraded my pedicure to an Aromatherapy Pedicure which was well worth the $40. The salon is very trendy & cute. There's even a small bar. I believe you get a complimentary drink with your service. My feet were in bad shape due to dry skin and lots of blisters but my technician didn't even flinch. She professionally took care of of my nail and skin needs. They have lots of colors to choose from and I had about a 5 minute wait. They did say they get busier during the weekends. So, I had a bad experience at the Tipsy in Boynton. After much debate, I decided to give the Wellington location a try. As soon as I walked in, they offered me a drink, and sold me into the signature pedicure, which includes all kinds of massages, and a basic manicure. When we sat down, I asked my girl if they were bringing the Chardonnay. She said yes. She did an amazing job on my feet, but when she was almost done, I still didn't have my wine. When they finally realized it, I didn't want it anymore. The service was more than halfway over. I like to sip wine, not chug it! I told her I wanted clear nail polish on my finger nails since I am a nurse. She did a fine job on the manicure, but only put on a thin base coat, and then walked away to let them dry. I thought it was weird that we were drying between coats? When she didn't come back, I went to the front and told the lady I will be putting on my own top-coat at home. Went here to get ready for Prom. Make up was horrible. I looked worse after the make up was done. Used the same make up pad on me and other customers. It was old and disgusting. Make up artist used her personal mascara as well. Didn't ask what color eyeshadow we preferred. (Friend and I) Just did her own thing. I've been getting my hair done here for well over a year with Patty. She's so talented with color and highlights/lowlights. I always get compliments when out. She intuitively knows what looks best with each person's skin tone, eye color, and face shape- probably because she's been doing this for years. I also referred my daughter, who's a model, to Patty and she's done her hair for many photo/video shoots. More recently, I began sending my son to Patty for his haircut (fade with a line) because she's a master barber. He's quite picky about his hair, but always leaves very satisfied. Looking for a nice pedicure while in between flights, I was very pleasantly surprised. The squeezed me in immediately upon calling. Though upscale and hip, they weren't snobby whatsoever. The service was fantastic! Right when I walked through the door all the ladies at the front desk made me feel special. I was offered a drink and also asked if I needed anything while getting my nails done. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because the lady who did my nails Maya- SUCKED! I've been going here for 3+ years and have given 5 star reviews...and then today happened. I called and booked mani/pedi for Tracey's only available time. However, 2 of us were booked at same time. Manager said Tracey wasn't keeping up instead of apologizing for error. They offered Sue instead. I got talked into gel - I never get and didn't realize the shape of nails were longer on sides than middle. So oddly shaped that I took a pic. I had the gel removed but they insisted on charging me full price for gel though my nails left unpolished. The owner was called and the conversation was I didn't follow their protocol to complain. Front desk was blaming me. Why would the customer know their internal protocol? I've always enjoyed my visits there. I wouldn't make a scene or disrespect these women. Yet the same courtesy wasn't offered to me. I won't be back since their behavior was unacceptable. Still love Tracey though. read more

My daughter and her friend received pedicures. They were In their words "ok". My no-chip manicure was good. My friends full set of acrylic nails looked terrible. Nail polish was streaky and she said they looked to thin. 2 days later they actually started breaking off. We came here due to excellent reviews. To me, they are an average nail salon. Some of the technicians are good and some are not. You have to know who is doing your nails. Not only did she make me feel super comfortable, she listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a perfect cut. I have long hair and nothing is worse that an uneven cut, but she cut mine super even! I also found out she has all sorts of awesome credentials and experience and she gave me some great tips on how to take care of my hair to keep it healthy. :) I felt like I was back at home in NYC with Nikki and I will definitely be going back for another cut from her. Dont go to get your hair colored or cut! The stylist didnt listen to the way I wanted it cut. I have never been so disappointed or upset about a cut before. The color I selected came out the wrong color. I tried to reach out to them to get it fixed and nothing.
