I go to kim for dip powder and she always does my nails exactly how I like and I'm picky! I've also met the owner and she is so sweet and all about customer service. I brought my senior mom along with me to this salon last summer. She was coming along, just for the ride as as I was getting a mani pedi. I wasn't aware , that she was sitting and studying Meredith coloring and cutting a woman's hair. She came over to me to let me know that she made the decision and booked an appointment with Merideth on the spot. I was amazed , that she turned my moms short Brassy mess into a gorgeous sophisticated haircut. It's rare to find a beautician who can give you great, color, cut and blowout. We have been here several times and everything was great. Last appointment I scheduled for 4 people in advance. Two confirms thru text so I though we were set. We arrived to locked doors well after opening time someone finally showed up 20 minutes later and said to pick colors. Nobody said anything to us for 10 minutes so we left. Very bad experience. My girlfriend made me an appointment for a pedicure today, 8-31-2018, at about 3:45 pm by Lena. I told her to cut in a masculine manner, NOT rounded in the corners that women have done. Although her native language is Spanish, she stated she understood. First toe - what does she do? She cut it with a VERY curved corner, not straight across as I asked. I stopped her and asked what she was doing. She didn't know. I got out of the chair and said, no more, we're done. Gentlemen, do not waste your time and money or risk getting an ingrown toenail. Avoid this place. Very bad. read more

Don't expect warm and fuzzy service. From the moment you come in. I only wanted a basic pedicure and then came the eye rolls. Asians ladies speaking in native tongue always makes me feel "REAL" welcome. I felt rushed and my under toe nails still remain dirty to say the least. If when I was asked how my service was and my response is it was "ok I guess" as a business owner would you be a bit concerned? And curious tot ask why?? This is the second time visiting Tipsy. I must say customer service exceeds your expectations from the time you enter. Not to mention the clean and inviting atomosphere. Being that it was a Saturday and my daughter and I had some spare time after lunch. All other places were packed with long wait times. We called and receptionist said she would be able to squeeze us in within 15 minutes. So we headed over to salon and was greeted upon arrival. I did the dip powder and my daughter did a full set with dip powder. Both nail techs were nice & attentive. Only thing I wasn't pleased with the filing of nails (the backwards file with hand up facing the tech). Not the techs fault but I've seen it used before. Actually had it done before and experience the same nail pain when finished. It just leaves your nail bed sore afterwards almost painful to touch. They had a lot of color choices which was great! Had a horrible experience at Tipsy Salon. The place is nice but the products are horrible. I had nexgen done once and entire top coat came off just hours after leaving salon. They had me go back and had another girl Tia fix them. She did a good job so I went back second time for gel manicure. She did a great job however the top coat again came off next days and all the polish is cracked in my nails. I have to go redo my nails just a day after. I'm so upset! Most nail salons I go to are a little rough when scrubbing your feet , leaving me with cut marks almost every time , but our ladies did a beautiful job . Not even sure where to start- spent 2 hours and $65 to walk out with "dipped" nails that look like my 5 year old daughter did them. Bleeding cuticles and wasted time is an understatement. I have been getting my nails done for 10+ years now and everyone has always struggled with them. I have very short nail beds and I tend to bite them if I don't have nails on, usually they end up being very stubby looking or they are too thick, the nail gods were smiling on me today. I love this salon because it's clean and has modern decor and offers a ton of fab services but the reason I go here is for Merideth and her mad hair skills. Merideth is exceptional. At first glance you see her stunning beauty and beneath that is a fierce professional who knows hair like no other. I come from NYC and I've worked with a lot of hair care folks but no ones done it justice until her. I have the thickest, most over processed unruly hair that very, very few have been able to tame. Not only has Merideth worked with my mane to get it to a healthy state, she's made it more beautiful and manageable than I've ever had it! She's works miracles, literally. I updated my review because I actually had a pretty painful scrape on the side of my big toe from the woman rubbing the skin too hard in the wrong area with a pumice. I didn't think it was too bad until I got home and it was stinging. I was reminded of it when I getting in the salt water pool for the next few days. One star for the free wine. Kim is rude! She cut my cuticle and it started bleeding and she blamed it on me? Do I have scissors in my hand? No. My gels also started peeling about one and a half weeks into the gel. The nail salon was visually pleasing however, I had to wait three hours to get my nails done. Although they allow walk-ins it was very frustrating to have to wait for a long period of time. My daughter and I had an appointment for 6:30, then told us to come back at 7:00. They had overbooked and allowed walk-ins so we were not seen until 8:00pm. We finally left at 10:20. They had released some of their workers early--leaving only three staff members working. The employee that took care of my daughter only did her manicure and left. A second employee left earlier than him leaving only one employee to work on both my daughter and I. Tara was the best & a very professional worker. Do not buy gift certificates as they do not honor them. When one buys a gift certificate with no time limit, it is expected to be honored. Very shady practices. In addition customers with appointments end up waiting upward of 30 minutes before being seated. Then you may have your feet in water for longer than needed. I enjoyed the service but then went to pay and got over charged by almost 30 dollars never will I return took advantage because I told them I hadn't done my nails in 2 years chose acrylic for the 35 and I understand being charged for a certain style of color but wound up being charged for the plastic tip that make the nail and then for having them shaped. Owners should be ashamed of themselves. I go to royal nail salon get drinks, a pedicure, acrylic and my eyes waxed for 75 plus tip no hidden fees even got a 3.75 fee for using my card not mentioned on the door. This was my first (and last) time here. I got a regular pedi and a gel mani. The tech cut the skin on my big toe and it bled til after I left. Which she polished over! Blood all over the bottom of my foot and on my sandal. WTF? Then it was rush, rush with the manicure that she forgot steps. The receptionist smelled like pure alcohol and didn't even have the decency to offer anything to drink. Hospitality sucks, the only nail tech who was super nice was named yee he actually does a great job but the rest of the staff is completely rude. I don't know who the owner of this place is but they need new staff members. Not a fan at all. My manicure didn't even last 5 days. I got it on Wednesday and left for a short vacation...didn't do anything strenuous and it started peeling on Saturday. It's now Tuesday (not yet a week later) and they look so bad that I had to remove the polish. Also, I have a severe latex allergy and the guy argued with me that using the gloves should be ok to use because they are powder free. I had to tell him quite a few times that it didn't matter, latex means latex regardless of powder. He finally didn't use the gloves but it should not have turned into a battle. They are many other places to get your nails done...pass on this place. read more
