Worst wait ever. I came here and no one else was waiting. I was told it'd be a 30 min wait, but 50 min later, I go inside and they say I can sit down. I've been waiting at the table waiting for someone to come. No one gives a crap. When someone finally came to take our order, she literally just stood there silent- no apology, no "what would you like?". 20 min after drink order, I go to the bar to ask and they're sitting there so I serve myself. Another 10 min later, chips and salsa. 35 min after ordering, I go to the cash register to ask them to check on our food. I liked the Bandito bowl, but the chicken and beef tacos were lacking. Third time here. First 2 times the tacos were good but the chips, salsa, queso were terrible. This time the chips were much improved but chicken tacos made 2 of us sick. Music is terrible for a restaurant/bar too. Menu says that they add 18% gratuity to parties of 6 or more. There were 4 of us and there was an 18% gratuity added to the bill. I ALWAYS tip at least 20% but not when it's already added to my bill. Sign of a bad restaurant is when gratuity is mandatory. read more

We have come here many times over the last year. Usually the waitstaff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the beer selection, and attentive. So, today was not the case, our waitress disappeared for large amounts of time. Even when she presented the bill, she took the dirty dishes, went Into the back for about 10 minutes, went to the front register, and then hung out at the bar. The staff was shouting for codes to use the register across the restaurant. One staffer was singing at the top of their lungs at 4:30 pm. Ok, so all of that aside, I had the huevos rancheros which the chorizo was burned, the egg was cooked so long that it was rubbery and the plate was dried out. Maybe it was under a warmer? I've ordered it many times, this was my go to place and my go to order... not any longer. Also, my draft beer was warm and flat. It tasted like bud light which is fine, but I ordered Stella. I left it on the table and the waitress looked at it, but didn't ask a question. My husband had questions about beer that the waitress didn't know, so she went to the bar, which I appreciated. They gave him a beer to try which was nothing like what he asked for. Interestingly the waitress asked him how it was and he said he didn't care for it and the response was... well at least you won't order it next time. Ok. My husband's food was good and hot, my daughter's queso had sat for so long that there was the blanco queso film on top and it was thick. Plus it was cold. How do you serve cold queso especially to a kid. Ok, so the all around it was rough. Plus the staff that was on break were sitting on picnic tables outside smoking and drinking something. Looked like beer to me. I'm not sure. But bottom line, I don't want your bottom where I am supposed to eat. Also, you're wearing tipsy taco staff shirts. Not a great way to represent the company. I worked in the food industry and we were never allowed to eat, or drink... let alone smoke where people are eating. Especially in company attire. What happened here? This place used to be awesome. This is a Friday, I would think that the behavior and everything would be top notch. It's a money making night. I'm not sure I will go back and it's a pity because it was my go to. read more

First I love Margaritas and they make are really good version. Then we had chips and guacamole and we enjoyed both. I had the steak and shrimp bowl and my wife had the mahi mahi tacos. We really enjoyed our meal and this will be part of our Ormond Beach rotation. Our server was awesome, gave recommendations and even told us about the Beach and River clean up in July. read more

Recent visit was a disappointment. My husband and I are locals and we know that when you order and order of tacos that means you get two tacos and a side. We ordered 3 orders of tacos (6 tacos).. and the girl brought out a plate of 3 tacos (1 each of the 3 sets we had ordered)? I mean thanks for thinking that two grown adults are going to be full off of 3 little tacos - anyway.. had to wait on another order to come out. Everything took rather long for service which was odd being that there were only 2 other tables with people in the entire restaurant. To top it all off... they charge you 3% added charge on your card just to use a damn credit/debit card to pay! They don't even tell you about it. Great place, love the staff and the food. Great Mexican with some modern/American twists. Its not your traditional mexican but instead a more modern style doing mostly burritos and tacos and bowls. Alot of great options and for anyone into the more modern mexican style food this is the place to go. The bar is great and fully stocked. Location is great, you can order take out and walk across the road to the beach while you wait. make sure you try the Fried Oreos, they are incredible. read more

The food was very good and the service was great. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Would get 5stars but they were out of red sangria and the buffalo cauliflower tacos (which I was going to make vegan). We had pineapple and sriracha guacamole with chips, which we enjoyed. I had the mushroom tacos made vegan and my boyfriend had buffalo chicken tacos which he described as "delicious". I think this place is underrated. I would be back if I lived in the area. read more

I've really never eaten in a restaurant and forgot all about it the very next day, so I feel I needed to reach out and make the management aware why this customer will not be returning. I decided to check out the new taco cantina on A-1-A to grab a quick bite in my way home. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the hostess. I chose to sit at the bar. The bartender introduced herself and asked what I wanted to drink. I replied with "I just need a few minutes to look at the menu. I'm really it a craft beer person but more of a lite domestic beer kind a guy. The bartender suggested that I try The Ponce Inlet Blond Ale, so I rolled with that. I then ordered the mahi fish soft taco. When my order arrived the presentation was great. When I took my first bite my excitement for the tacos disappeared. First, my soft tortilla itself was either not stored properly or it was left out to long and had been grilled. The outer rim if the flour tortillas were dry and hard. Secondly, the small piece of fish inside the taco was either cooked to long or I was previously frozen fish. My guess would be that they used frozen fish, and if it hadn't been topped with the mango salsa, there wouldn't have been any taste at all. To be quite honest, I couldn't even tell if I was being served Mahi or something else. Just a piece of dry fish. The Cilantro Lime rice that was served as a side was dry with cilantro leaves including the stems. and topped with black beans. There was also no prices list anywhere on the beer and drink menu, so when I received my bill I couldn't believe how much I how much I paid for a pint of beer. The interior decor was that of a cantina with tasteful art work both behind the bar and across the back wall. I could see that a lot of thought and planning went into putting this restaurant together, and it would sad to see it fail. Advice to the management; * Fish tacos should be made using FRESH FISH. 'Your beautiful restaurant is across the street from the Atlantic Ocean'. * Prices on your drink menu * Table Touch ( asking the customer how your food is) Had the management asked me how my meal was, he may have made the correction resulting in my return visit. * Chili Peppers is just up the street. That said, your menu items need to be point on. Or you won't be around long. As it was, there were only a few customers in your restaurant. Overall experience, "Swing and a miss". read more

I absolutely love this place. To me, it is by far the best "Mexican" restaurant in town. The freshest ingredients and a non-traditional menu. You know how typical Mexican restaurants bring your hot as hell plate out (why is that? Do they reheat everything on the plate???) with every dish looking exactly the same? Nothing like that here. Tipsy taco makes some mean margaritas and has some decent food. They also have awesome desserts, Churro bites and fried Oreos the churro bites came with three different dipping sauces, must have if you're eating or bringing kids. Pretty clean place. My only complaint would be how smoke filled the place is from frying food. They should open the doors. Must not be to bad as I've been there 5 times. read more

While passing through on vacation, the online presence of this establishment drew is in. Upon arrival, the hostess seemed overworked while serving tables and acting as a hostess which caused us to not be greeted or seated for quite some time. Our experience was not the best. We were seated outside and forgotten about for approximately 15 minutes. Other patrons at outside tables were extremely loud and appeared to be quite loud/intoxicated making it hard to hear conversation at my table. Patrons at at the table next to us appeared to be fed up with the obnoxious drunks and left prior to ordering. Having finally placed our drink and food order, we decided to stay. Having different food allergies, I ordered steak tacos and a captain and coke along with chips and queso. The chips and queso were the best part of the experience! After ordering a captain and coke, I was presented with a well whiskey and coke. After another 15 minutes, I finally had the correct drink. Food wasn't the best but definitely not the worst I've had. The steak in the tacos was very fatty. Perhaps we just stopped in on a bad day. read more

Great little taco joint! Deliciously creative food options! I had the Bandito Chicken tacos and they were awesome! Great blend of sweet and spicy. We got into our hotel late on the first day of a weekend vacation, and our family of six with four young kids decided to walk across the street and try this place out. We never know what to expect when we bring our kids to a bar, but everyone was super friendly and the service was personable! Lucas took great care of us and made friends with my boys along the way! Loved this place, first time ever I pick up a plate from the table and taste every last drop. As tourist we bought the souvenir glass and are impressed with the quality (plus well worth the never-ending specials it comes with). We will definitely return before our vaca is over.
