The mother did both my hands and feet. She did not shape my nails, just pushed the cuticles back and didn't even cut them! The polish was so uneven and have streaks and bubbles all over them. Like a previous reviewer said, it was applied nowhere near the cuticles. It's been a day and there are scratches in my nails.. I wonder if it's the product or the fact that it wasn't properly cured? I live just down the street from the salon, which makes it convenient, but the main reason I've continued coming back is because I've consistently had positive experiences and have always left happy with the service. Unfortunately, my most recent pedicure was disappointing. From the beginning, the technician's demeanor made me feel uncomfortable. She handled my feet as though she didn't want to touch them and provided very little communication throughout the service. Rather than simply telling me when to lift my feet or place them back in the tub, she would just look at me and seem to expect that I should know what she wanted. It felt awkward and unwelcoming. The biggest issue was with the cat-eye polish. I specifically requested and paid for cat-eye polish on both my manicure and pedicure. My manicure was done by another technician and the cat-eye effect was exactly what I expected. During my pedicure, however, I was told that the effect was difficult to achieve on toenails because they are smaller. After I questioned why my pedicure didn't resemble my manicure, she only applied the cat-eye effect to my big toenails and left the remaining toes as they were, explaining that the other nails were too small. She mentioned she could try, but by that point I had another appointment to get to and didn't feel like I should have to keep insisting on receiving the service I had already paid for. To make matters more frustrating, I was then told that if I wanted a darker cat-eye effect, I should request a black base next time. Had this been explained at the beginning of the appointment, I would have gladly considered that option. Instead, the explanation came after the service, when it was too late to make changes. The hot stone massage was also uncomfortable. The stones were very hot, yet I was never asked whether the temperature was comfortable before they were applied. A simple check-in would have made a big difference and demonstrated some concern for client comfort. I want to emphasize that this review is based on my experience with one technician and not the salon as a whole. Over the years, I have had many excellent pedicures here and have always felt well taken care of. That's why this experience stood out so much. As a customer who has supported this location for years and lives nearby, I left feeling disappointed, unheard, and as though my comfort and satisfaction were not a priority. I hope this feedback is received constructively, as I would like to continue supporting this salon and seeing the level of service that originally made me a loyal customer.
