Had lunch there today and it was awesome. The menu is great and so was the service. The food was the best. Had a Green Gobbler Sandwich -- turkey, avocado and aioli on Sourdough bread and some of the best onion rings around. The ice cream is awesome also. One of my new favorite places. The beer and wine selection is great. It has live music on weekends and I can see this truly becoming a neighborhood place to go. Went for dinner and ordered drinks, appetizer and burgers (veggie burger for my wife). Everything was incredibly good. As we had just ordered another drink we decided to order another appetizer! The funky chips were fantastic! Will be back whenever possible. Good food. Good people. read more

Amazingly fun atmosphere, and good food!! Susan has done an amazing job of cultivating a true resurgence in Historic Downtown nightlife. The trivia nights (and other game nights) are always a blast for groups, but honestly, the best time I have ever had there was during the Georgia Elvis Festival, and one of the professional Elvii was performing, it was AWESOME, EVERYONE in the place, young, old, older, was up dancing, singing, and having a great time. read more

Really disappointed to learn after we had ordered and had eaten that the restaurant chose to charge a $2 service fee. This was for splitting a sandwich. An additional side was ordered. We are locals and feel that even though the waiter claimed the statement was in the menu, he should have said it. I believe that most customers do not study the menu and feel that it should be the waiter's job to disclose that information when patrons are ordering. read more

HORRIBLE service from our waiter. We arrived just before 12, sat immediately, and didn't receive our food for over 50 minutes. Everyone around us (who sat after us) received their plates well before we did. Our waiter avoided eye contact completely, while avoiding our table, after he noticed our food taking forever (we're pretty sure he forgot to put our orders in). He never came to us to give an explanation or apologize for the wait. He only spoke when we flagged him down saying we had to get back to our offices. We spotted Susan, the owner, and let her know what was going on, and she was pretty unapologetic, as well. We were so pushed for time that we literally had to scarf our food down. It took an hour and a half to get out of there. For a sandwich, a flatbread and a salad, that is ridiculous. In addition, drink refills never happened the entire hour and a half we were there. Nothing was done to compensate for the bad service and insane wait time (not a discount, not a free dessert, nothing). They clearly don't know about customer service, and I definitely don't want to risk another extended lunch hour for 'okay' food and possible bad service. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because my sandwich wasn't terrible and the atmosphere was decent. Maybe it'll get better once they've been open longer than a couple of weeks. read more

Tipsy Mcsways has a interesting décor and over all is a cute place. However my friends and I went there last weekend about 1 pm on Saturday 6/23/12. The Waiter who looked like he had just rolled out of bed with dirty blue jeans wearing a 1/2 cocked hat and spots on his shirt was terrible. I understand the concept of casual dining but this is carrying it way too far. Other servers didn't appear to look so nasty. The food was not very good either; it took nearly 40 mins to get a Burger and a Turkey sandwich and couple of salads . The fries and onion rings were both cold and the onion rings were so greasy they weren't eatable. We spoke to the table next to us and their opinion about the place was very similar to ours not very good and way over priced for the quality of food . First impressions are very important when it comes to food establishments and ours was not good at all. On a scale of 1 to 10 we would rate this as a 3 at most for food and probably a 7 for décor and overall experience as a 5 for value. I doubt that any one amongst our group would return unless there are some major improvements read more

We decided to try this while visiting area. It is not fancy , it's bar food with a twist but it was great. I tried the chicken fingers which were perfect but the funky chips and disco fries are worth it alone. New restaurant, so still working out the kinks...service is extremely slow, especially at lunch. Waiting 30-45 minutes for food is simply too long, especially when you've ordered a salad or a bowl of soup. This is a problem, considering the restaurant is in the heart of a business-oriented downtown area. Again, at the time of this review, they've only been open for a couple of weeks - so I'm sure they'll get it sorted out. Food is wonderful, wait staff is friendly and upbeat. What a gem! My wife and I were on a walking tour of Brunswick and stopped at Tipsy's for a Happy Hour drink. Susan, the proprietor, was behind the bar. We had a delightful conversation about local brews, and she poured one for me and a glass of wine for my wife. As we chatted, the bar began to fill with locals, and Susan greeted each newcomer with enthusiasm and great service. We checked the menu and decided to return for something to eat later. Since we had enjoyed an unusually large lunch before we began our walk, and after a drink with the folks at the BnB where we were staying, we did not want a big meal at Tipsy's. Based on Susan's advice, we ordered the Blackened Chicken Nachos. Wow! Absolutely the best nachos we have ever eaten! They make their own chips by cutting up fresh tortillas and deep frying them before adding the chicken, pico de gallo, onions, cheese, etc. Amazing! I only wish we had another day there to try a few more of the menu items. Others around us had several dishes, and we ogled them as they were passing by. Burgers looked great. Onion rings were clearly golden fried and a generous portion. If in Brunswick, Tipsy's is not to be missed! read more
