Wow, saw the good reviews and wanted to like this place... food was fine, but the service was painfully slow. After 30 minutes waiting to have our order taken, and another 45mins waiting for our food, we asked after our missing food. The waitress argued that we'd only been waiting for food for 30mins. In all, 90 minutes from sitting down to getting food. Waaaaaay too long for bar fare!!! We missed the festival we'd come downtown to see! read more

Food was very tasty. I had a cup of gumbo and chili. My colleague had the chicken tenders. Everything including service was great.

Highly Recommend ~ What a fun casual restaurant! Went for lunch yesterday with my sister. The food was fantastic! She had the Hawaiian flat bread and I had the Tipsy burger. The cocktails and service were both excellent. And we really liked the atmosphere and decor. We live on St. Simon's and this was definitely worth the drive to Brunswick! I go here often since it is in walking distance. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Delicious signature cocktails, recommend the Van Eden. The Funky chips are my favorite. House made chips with Gorgonzola cheese. Add some tomatoes and blackened chicken to them for an awesome meal. This place is kid friendly but after 10 it's fun for adults. The food is great, the price is right, and the drinks are stellar. Fresh squeezed grapefruit for my cocktail! The onion rings taste like the Varsity in Atlanta. The Green Gobbler is sandwich perfection. The salmon salad has THE best dressing. Going back and going often! read more

Walked in a little before they opened. Bartender was extremely welcoming and got me a drink until they were ready to serve. The waiter came over and was incredibly rude and nasty to us. He was slamming his book and giving us nasty looks. We were shocked by his lack of customer service, as if we inconvenienced him by being there right at the opening. It was so bad that we just left. I've never felt the need to leave a restaurant because of service but this waiter moved us right out the door before we ordered. I believe we would have had a different experience with the bartender and it's a shame that two friends who met up from hours away in opposite directions had to start their reunion off like this. This man should not be in customer service. read more

This was a DeliCiOus find from using Yelp! This local place was a plus in our book! The atmosphere was quirky and inviting. Our waitress was friendly, and our service was prompt. My husband devoured the (cooked just right) hamburger, and I savored the vegetarian flat bread. We topped off our meal with the skillet cookie and walked away a happy couple! Great food, wonderful "skillet cookie" dessert, and friendly/fast/cute waitresses. Only complaint is the live music is WAY too loud for this size venue. We wound up moving to a sidewalk table outside, and it was still plenty loud enough to appreciate. Turn it down! read more

Love this place so much! Food is excellent (BLT and the fried goat cheese are faves), the servers and owner are super warm and welcoming, and the bar scene is always fun. Tipsy's is still our automatic go-to spot. I love to try new places but that can always be hit or miss. When we don't wish to roll the dice, we go to Tipsy's. The kids and I have never had a bad or even mediocre meal here and everything arrives perfectly cooked. You know that whatever you choose from the menu it is going to be good. I hope the current cook staff never leaves because they have it down right. Friendly staff makes it feel like home. It's very neighborhoody which is good because it is our neighborhood. read more

Went for lunch today because the owner is a former employee of my husband's & this was our first opportunity to go there. I got the BLT & it was perfect! Instead of iceberg, they used arugula & a basil mayo on toasted Texas toast. Had the fried broccoli & thoroughly enjoyed it, as well. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We had the BEST time here; a great happy hour turned into a late night of amazing and great food. The hubby had the Angus burger; which he loved, and my salad was huge and delicious. This is one of the best places to be in the Golden Isles ... if not THE best. Not only is the food delish and the drinks divine, the atmosphere cannot be beat. It's funky and fun. There's almost always live music. And the owner, Susan, along with her outstanding staff will bend over backward for you. It's the place that all the locales hang out in the midst of a touristy spot. Currently on a road trip and happened to be far from family and friends on thanksgiving deep into Georgia. Faced with eating sandwiches at the motel because everything was closed we yelped for an open bar in the hope of at least wallowing in our sadness with some local drunks. Well fortune was with us and we stumbled upon this place and were immediately welcomed in and surprise!, thanksgiving pot luck. What a shift. Walked in for lunch and a drink last week. Immediately greeted and felt welcomed. So far so good...then ordered the veggie falafel burger: holy **** that was good...house made (not typical frozen patty) with choice of side. Loved it so much we went back for lunch the next day and I ordered it again. This time we got an app though and I must say that the jalapeño garlic chicken wings were some of the best I've ever had, and I've had wings just about everywhere! Happy hour specials are priced awesome too. Oh, and the bartender Davis is a real pro. Would have gone there for dinner and night out too if the place was not on the opposite side of town from our hotel. Will definitely go back if I ever find myself back in Brunswick. read more

Oh my gosh. Don't miss this place. The food is amazing. Best blt I ever had. Hot potato salad. Sounds weird but you have to try it. Onion rings were sweet and the breading was really different than the average onion rings batter. David had the burger. Loved it. A lot of food for the money. Not fancy but worth the stop. read more

The waitress, Amber, sat down to take our order. She also didn't check on us when we got our food or gave us eye contact. Our drinks ran out and we couldn't even get a refill until she gave us the check. She didn't ask if our food was good or if we wanted dessert. She got the order wrong and never checked with us to see if we wanted anything else. We had to wait on a to go box for our food. She just gave us the check and our drinks to go. read more

Tipsy's is a new and great addition to historic downtown Brunswick. The ambiance, the friendly staff and the food are all amazing. The funky chips, the fried goat cheese balls, the veggie burger, the green gobbler and the salads are some of my favorites. The first thing you experience when you walk in, is the fun atmosphere, and friendly staff that greets you! The menu has something for everyone! The hard part was deciding what to have, because everything sounded so good!! The drink I ordered was made with fresh fruit, and was delicious! It appeared as though they had anything to could possibly imagine to drink behind their bar. The food was served quickly and was good to the last bite. We were told there was live music they have EVERY weekend I can't wait to bring our friends in for food, drinks and entertainment! The owner Susan Bates and son Jason Bates clearly care about their patrons and their community. I will recommend Tipsy McSways to all of my friends. Tispy's has a wonderful location and great but taking 15 minutes just to take a to-go-order is ridiculous not only that they take forever just to make food. They need more staff because it was 10 people inside including us plus 5 working and it took 30 minutes to make salad wow I'm never going there again. read more

I would describe this as a Gastro Pub with very good food. I have eaten there twice with friends and everyone loved it. The service was outstanding by both Davis and Kayla. You can also smoke cigars outside while enjoying a beverage. Fantastic beer and whiskey selection as well. read more
