I stopped here on my way home from Bush Garden and despite the incredibly busy crowd; the staff was able to seat & serve us in a timely manner. Not only does the menu offer a wide selection of options which makes it difficult to choose just one thing, the food arrived incredibly fast - and hot! I got the brisket and sweet potato hash (picked below) and the pork had exquisite blend of heat and sweet, which carried over to the sweet potatoes. I sat at the bar and our waitress (Jesse?) was also impressively working the bar in front of us. She was efficient and even when I clumsy knocked my water on to me -- was quick to clean up and accommodate. Strangely enough; the acoustics of this little place is in a way that even when it's loud - you can still hear whoever you came with! This little cozy cafe is one of my favorite spots. The food, cocktails and coffee are amazing. And you can take the cocktails or tipsy coffee to go. I had the shrimp tacos recently and they were amazing. I was devastated when I forgot my to go box . The crab Benedict is amazing as well. The servers are friendly and attentive. If I could rate it higher than five stars I would. We went twice, in a matter of two days. My husband had the catfish breakfast, and I had the crabcake eggs Benedict. The second day I really wanted to try something different, but it was just so good, I really couldn't resist having it again. Their prices are so reasonable. I visited this café while on a weekend retreat and ended up coming back both mornings--it was that good! It was pretty busy both times I visited, but the staff were super kind and on top of things, and the wait was surprisingly short. This is one of the best brunch spots in Williamsburg. They have an extensive menu of lattes and other drinks. Everything is reasonably priced. Seating can get a bit tricky when they're busy. I enjoyed most of the dishes I tried here but it seemed like each dish was made differently depending on who was working in the kitchen that day. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I ordered the same dish on two different visits and it tasted much different on the second visit. I don't live in Williamsburg anymore but I'll probably give Tipsy Beans another shot when I visit. read more

Very inexpensive and solid spot in the Williamsburg area. As my vacation week in VA was coming to a close we ended up at this spot mainly due to the peanut butter toast that looked like fire and I needed to try ASAP. Luckily, we dropped in and coffee was solid and meal for $5.50 was plenty, in fact one order is enough for two people. Girlfriend got the matcha drink which bartender prepared and it came out tasting like coffee but they did remake it and let us keep the failed up version. This was the first place I been to in awhile that had fair prices and great service. I love the location, they have plenty parking, and very welcoming environment. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte w. a shot of Captain Morgan(DELICIOUS). For my meal i went basic and got the Chicken and Waffles(BOMB). From the drink to the meal it was scrumptious. The drink literally melted in my mouth. The chicken was very juicy and crispy yet still tender. Everything tasted fresh and made with love. We love visiting Tipsy Beans Cafe whenever we are in town. The food is ALWAYS good. For instance, I am not a big big catfish eater. I may eat catfish once every few years yes I said years. The service staff are all very friendly, the space is clean and open. There was a short wait for a table, but we were seated quickly. I really wanted to love this place. It had a few things that really shone brightly: the brisket was AMAZING, the pancakes were tasty, and the sweet potato hash was perfectly matched to the brisket. My Irish coffee was $10. That's patently insane. I assumed $7-$8. While pleasant, it wasn't made correctly. The prices ranged from shockingly reasonable to purely absurd. The English muffin breakfast sandwich was tasty, but the single egg, slice of cheese, and bacon simply felt lost within the enormous English muffin. The brisket and sweet potato hash had some fantastic flavors, but the one egg was tiny while the slices of toast were huge. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict, but could t eat them as the "over easy" eggs were "over hard" and the hollandaise sauce was broken and looked less than appetizing. It was quickly replaced with another sandwich. Everything was okay, overall. But "okay" based on a sliding scale where some were wonderful while others were wrong or not great. read more

We went for brunch on Father's Day and sat outside (it's a pretty small place). Our waitress was super nice and made recommendations. My honey vanilla oat milk latte was delicious (every latte I have had here is) and he enjoyed his tequila sunrise. We started with a cinnamon role which seemed like a good idea except that it was so good and I ended up with not enough room for all of my meal. Delicious breakfast goodness with burst of flavor!! My husband and I tried "Tipsy Beans Cafe" during our visit to Williamsburg and was not disappointed. Yes! the high ratings here are justified. We ordered Tipsy classic: 2 eggs, turkey bacon, toast, and side of fruit with Almond Joy Latte. My husband had stuffed French toast with cream cheese, raspberry cream soda and blueberry muffin. The drinks were so delicious and unique to the restaurant. My husband's strawberry soda didn't make it to the house, he drank all of it in the car ride. The almond joy latte had a coconut shavings and chocolate flavor to it. It gave momentum to go around town and do Some more shopping. We waited for about 30 minutes before being seated out on the patio. 5 minutes went by,... 10,... 15,... 20 minutes before anyone checked on us. Good thing we were having a good conversation with our friends. I assumed it was the manager that checked on us, apologized and returned with water for the five of us, saying a server would be with us momentarily. On our way out to another state I searched spots nearby and although a few came up this one caught my eye. Upon arrival there were few waiting, the lady from the bar yelled to us "eating in or taking out" our response "eating in" so she slid out her lil yellow pad and asked name & phone number-what? We love this place. The coffee drinks are awesome, and the food is fantastic. My favorite is the veggie omelet. It's a perfect mix of fresh veggies, cheese, and perfectly prepared eggs. The breakfast potatoes that come with it are full of flavor and crisp on the outside and warm and soft inside. My spouse always gets the crab cake egg's Benedict that full of flavor and a wonderful combination of tastes. I got a grapefruit mimosa which was very good, not too much juice and nice glassware. I ordered the brisket/sweet potato hash with the egg over hard. It was delicious, the potatoes were a little over cookies but that happens with sweet potatoes sometimes. My husband got the meat lovers omelet with a side of pancake. The omelet was flavorful and didn't have too much of one ingredient.
