Server refused to serve my small children and I! Upon entering she had an ill looking face and her demeanor was not welcoming at all upon entering this small establishment. Not very welcoming at all. When I visited, there was nobody dining inside but we decided to sit down and eat due to good reviews on Yelp. It looks like this restaurant is frequented for take out orders. The staff was very friendly. She was busy with the constant phone orders, but she still took time checking on our table. We ordered pad thai and beef satay. Both were delicious, but pad thai was the best and paired well with the chili. You'll have to street park your car, so watch the signs. read more

This was our first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately, we would not recommend it. The prices do not match the quality of the food or the portion sizes. The servings were quite small for what we paid. On top of that, the dining area was very hot, with only fans and no air conditioning, which made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, it was not worth the money. We left disappointed and would not return. read more

I've tried this place twice, one time delivery and other time I ate at the restaurant. It's pretty small but I feel like the good needs more taste. One of my favorite things of Thai places is the Thai chili and this place didn't have it. Also I wish you could order the food to the spice level you want it. When I asked the waitress she said they wouldn't make it spicy:/ the Thai tea was good. You get a good amount of food but I do wish it had more taste. I've been to several Thai places and this one is the only one I've stayed unsatisfied by. The waitress was really sweet tho. Give it a try if you can since it is a local business but it does have room for improvement. read more

Let me take a second to talk about this spot...what a treasure! I was around the area looking for oriental food and came to my attention their rich menu options. The price is cheap but the food is definitely flavorful. I ordered the crab fried rice and it was my first time trying something like this, for sure would order again. The service was fast, respectful and attentive. I was parked illegally outside due to not having enough spaces to stop and called them to order, the person on the phone made sure to bring my food outside to avoid me having problems with parking tickets. Excellent food, awesome service and great suggestion on the garlic shrimp . The park isn't to great but Kanica the awesome employee, has a great personality too. She even walks the Togo orders out to the customers. This way they didn't have to park and get down. The place is clean and has an "A" grade. read more

I placed an order for pickup via phone call. Tip's called me to let me know they could do curbside pickup because I went during rush hour and there was limited parking, so sweet of the woman that helped me. Live nearby and try to support this place every once in a while. For all the wonderful food nearby there's not a ton of amazing Thai food in the immediate vicinity and this is a solid choice for the area. In my opinion, the food could use more flavor and maybe use slightly fresher ingredients/more vegetables. Also always confused that they won't take requests to make certain dishes spicy - even dishes like spicy mint leaves could use much more potent chilis. Great value for the area though. And Love the owner, we always have great conversations. read more

Ordered: Tofu pad thai Total came out to: $13.41 I ordered take out, but waited inside for my food. It felt really homey inside, and I liked how it clean it was. My pad thai came with a side of hot sauce and pickled jalepenos which were bomb!!! The pad thai itself had great flavor - not too salty, oily, or sweet. Also the nicest people working inside (': I think the pad thai was the best pad thai I've had in a wile, and I'm looking forward to ordering the egg rolls next! read more

My new go-to Thai place in KTown. I'm always craving pad thai but it tends to be expensive. Here, it's under $10, unlike other places in Town that tend to be $12+. Fast service when I called in to order; they texted me that my food was ready after just 7 minutes. Chicken pad thai came with tofu in it, not sure if intentional, but definitely welcome. It also comes with two spicy-acidic condiments which really help accentuate the pad thai flavors. Definitely ordering from here again. No indoor dining yet at time of this review. read more

I used to love their Pad See Ew here but haven't been back in a few years. Not sure if they have the same cook but the shrimp Pad See Ew ($12) I had today was not as good as it used to be. Noodles were shorter and a tad more mushy and not as flavorful. Menu was recently updated with new prices. read more

I am in awe of this place :). The server, whom of which I am never able to get her name, is simply so kind and humorous. She's always making jokes and makes the overall dining experience better. I've gone here a couple of times and always enjoyed my food. I have to say, of all the Thai places I've been to and tried their famous pad Thai, I think this one is my favorite. It's worth the buy and I would definitely recommend. I also like the fact that we can bring our own drinks, no hassle is made over it (though I would understand if one was made, each restaurants have their own respectable policies)! It is a bit warm in the place, so just make sure not to wear jackets and sweaters if you plan on dining there. I love this place and plan to go here at least one more time before leaving LA! read more

Solid thai food. With thai food, I usually stick to pad thai, drunken noodles, angel wings, and sate. Will say that they hook it up. Why 5 stars? For the price paid, you get a lot. Not complaining as they've provided the hot sauces and thai chilis when asked. Other places will give you one 1/2 oz container and look at you like you're robbing the place of their profit margin. But no, not Tip's. Is this place my go-to thai? No. But, when in a hurry, this place is definitely reliable and doesn't mess up your order. read more

I stumbled upon this place in Koreatown. Their shrimp fried rice and the egg rolls were excellent. Everything else was good not great. What really impressed me was the customer service, excellent. If you like good service, then stay away from Tips House!!! My husband and I went there today and it seems like there was some kind of work lunch going on so the place was packed. The waitress just focused on theat crowd and forgot all about us!! She is so rude and won't accommodate to the needs of her clients. By the way, I asked to use the restroom and she refused. I am not sure if that is against the health code but I assume that if this is a sit down restaurant, they should have restrooms. Horrific!! read more

Really yummy. We went on a Sunday around noon, easy to get there, no parking issues, street is free on Sunday. Ordered the green papaya salad my new guilty pleasure, and the larb with duck. Larb was ok, a bit on the spicy side, which makes it hard for me to taste it.
