Good is always tasty, but unless you know what you ordered, you might get confused; all the cold stuff can potentially come out on the raw tower and then you just have to figure out what's what. My fave item is always the thick and hearty clam chowder; but everything is always fresh and tasty. Parking is always a bit of a mixed bag, with me basically giving up and valet parking across the street. But, service is always friendly and the vibe is always chill. Can get a bit hot when seated out on the sidewalk/street!
I love that I found "Found Oyster". I tell and take my friends there. I usually get the cod sandwich. The fries are a treat by themselves. Oysters are usually from East coast and are delicious. I key lime pie was just ok in my opinion.
Seating is limited but there is a long oyster bar. From the raw bar, I enjoyed their oysters, little neck clams, and tuna aguachile. They sell oysters from their family farm which is a nice touch, and the aguachile was a standout and well balanced. We also had their scallop tostado, chowder, and wedge salad which were all great as well. For me, the chowder was the quintessential New England style chowder perhaps made with a bit more finesse. I also liked how their wedge salad used thick cut bacon. However, I felt like the scallops were overpowered by the citrus flavors although that's more of a personal preference. Service was amazing at the oyster bar!
We had such a delicious meal here!! We made rezzies in advance for lunch and they seated us within about five minutes of us arriving. We sat at the high top tables along the side of the wall across from the bar. Really cool and casual interior, doesn't feel pretentious whatsoever. Warm and friendly staff. I was worried when looking at their menu online that they only had wine since I was craving a cocktail, but alas they do have cocktails! They have martinis or margaritas. I went with a martini and they ask how you like it so I got mine with gin, an olive and a twist. It was made perfectly and it was so good! We ordered 8 oysters from the specials menu (they have it written inside on chalkboard), the plate of frites, smoked trout dip, and a tuna aguachile dish they had on their specials menu. It was a small table but we got everything to fit because they smartly have a holder to lift the tray above the table which helps. Everything looked beautiful when it came out! The oysters were great, salty but not overly briney. The smoked trout dip with the roe on top was delicious, the buttery ritz crackers pair with it so nicely. I would get that again for sure. The aguachile was good as well, it had quite the kick to it too. And honestly fries are fries, yes, but these fries were maybe some of the best ones I've ever had. Perfectly fried to a crisp and salty. I'll dream of those fries. And such a perfect portion of them for sharing with a friend. I loved our time here!

The natural wine selection is spectacular the green tea and a white Spaniard wine were my favorites. Also, the oysters from main, oyster shooters, and lobster roll were really all tasty. I have to say it's on the pricier side, but you will enjoy it.

Definitely make a reservation on weekends because a line had already formed outside the door before the restaurant even opened. The interior space is compact but lively, warm, and charming, with bar seating, high-top tables, and plenty of plants that bring the space to life. From the raw bar, we ordered the Sicilian crudo, littleneck clams, peel & eat prawns, Jonah crab cocktail, and a couple of their oyster selections. Almost everything we ordered was a 10/10 because of how exceptionally fresh the seafood was. The Sicilian crudo is a must-order, with a combination of salmon, tuna, and scallop dressed with lemon, capers, and red onion. We also had the New England-style clam chowder with bacon. It was creamy and delicious, though a bit thinner than what I was used to. Service was attentive, prompt, and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was, as it was already bustling from the moment it opened. I'm looking forward to the next time I can come back!
My gf and I visited Found Oyster this past weekend for lunch and had such an amazing time! We did a walk in around 1pm and were quoted a 45 minute wait. The hostess asked if we would like to have some drinks on the sidewalk while we waited, which was great! I had a nice glass of orange wine and my gf had a Chardonnay, both delicious. The waitress that took care of us once we were seated was wonderful - I wish I had gotten her name! She explained the menu to us well and was generous with her drink pours. I dried their house wine once we were dining and it was also delicious. Now for the food! We started off the meal with one oyster each and the Sicilian crudo. It has been YEARS since I tried oysters and I remember not liking them, but I wanted to give it another shot. To my surprise, my oyster was fresh, delicious, and not fishy AT ALL. The crudo was incredible - the fish was fresh and the flavor combo of olive oil and capers was divine. For our main, we split the fried fish sandwich with fries. The fries were great, and the sandwich was crisp, not too oily, and paired perfectly with the toppings. For dessert, we had their key lime pie. Also something I don't usually enjoy, but it was fantastic as well. All in all we had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning and trying the other restaurants in the family!

The menu changes enough to keep every visit interesting, especially the changing oyster selection. This time we had the Lil Namskaket oysters, which were clean, briny, and slightly sweet. Since we shared just about everything in our group of 4 this time, I got to try a wide variety of dishes. The Jonah crab cocktail was a highlight and ended up being my favorite shared plate. The tuna aguachile was bright and refreshing, the Sicilian crudo let the quality of the fish shine, the smoked trout dip (a repeat because it's so good) was creamy and smoky and was paired with crackers, and the scallop tostada was fresh and beautifully balanced. The two dishes that keep bringing me back, though, are the chowdaaa and the lobster bisque roll. As someone who grew up in New England, I'm pretty picky about my lobster rolls, and this one absolutely holds its own here on the West Coast. The clam chowder is another must-order. I don't care if it's the middle of summer during a heatwave--if it's delicious, it's delicious. The fried cod sandwich was satisfying and straightforward, and even the frites were addictive enough that I kept reaching for more. We skipped dessert this time because we were stuffed, but I've had the key-lime pie before and highly recommend saving room for it if you can do it. What I appreciate most about Found Oyster is its consistency. Every single time, the food has been outstanding, the service has always been friendly, and it's a place I genuinely look forward to returning to. If you're a seafood fan, this one absolutely deserves a visit. Street parking can be tough so plan accordingly. They do walk-ins but I'd recommend making a reservation, especially if more than 2 of you are going. Inside seating and bar seating are available but for larger groups, they'll seat you out on the patio.
Came here for a light lunch, the food was pretty good but definitely pricey. Favorite bite was definitely the dunguness crab tostada, it was a new item but AMAZING, definitely recommend trying it. The razor clam had a rly good sauce base but it was a lil bit sandy and not as tender as I hoped but still good. We also got the crudo, 2 oysters, 2 prawns, and 2 mussels. They were pretty good, but nothing crazy & lowk expensive. I was celebrating an anniversary with my boyfriend so we were fine w paying but just know that it's a bit pricy for the portions. For the both of us, it was almost $200
What an incredible seafood restaurant!!! Their happy hour (4-6pm) is also so lit because it's $10 strong ass martinis lol I was drunk with half a drink and had to order the trout dip ($26) to balance out my dizziness! The trout dip was sooooo amazing!!!!!! Staffs were super super friendly and welcoming! I was seated at the bar first as I was waiting for my friends but the staff started chatting with me about life and the menu. I really appreciated the friendliness here! Once all my friend arrived, we were seated outside and ordered a bunch of fish and oyster tacos ($8 each). They were both delicious. The shrimp toast was also super yummy. The seafood platter was a must!! So fresh and so delicious! Definitely will be back to try more food. The restaurant is quite small so I'd recommend making a resy if you can or be ready to sit at the bar first come first serve. The ambiance is cute and casual- would even be a great place to enjoy a solo meal!
Squeezed in a reaaally fast dinner here between open house visits and had a great time, everyone was super friendly and attentive since the high top tables are quite small. We were also trying to beat the 1 hr parking meter in the 4 hr parking zone (why?!) and managed to do that. Ordered à la carte oysters, which were from RI and Mexico this particular day. I was kind of hoping the Mexico ones were more like west coast oysters or gulf oysters cause I prefer both of those over east coast oysters. Sadly, no luck, both were quite briny with the ME ones slightly less so. The peel n eat prawns were good... but $7 a pop good? Not sure. Chowder was shockingly delicious and full of clam meat and potatoes. I might like this one more than the Hog Island chowder which has been my favorite for a long while. The scallop tostada and Sicilian crudo (halibut, salmon, scallop) were both fine but the fish & scallop tasted not super fresh? Not bad or anything, just kept getting a whiff of something fishy in both dishes. We didn't like the bread as much as we thought (fairly strong charred flavor and doesn't have a pillowy chew). I did love the anchovies though! $10 happy hour martinis are nice, and I enjoyed the champagne which was supposed to be "crisp biscuity goodness". Overall a good meal, vibes are great, and a reservation is required if you don't wanna wait an hour+!
Every dish we got was very yummy. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants we've had in LA. Ordered: - Chowdaaa - So yummy. Honestly my favorite chowder I've ever had. Saw them seasoning it with fish sauce. I wouldn't have guess to do that but it works very well. - Silican Crudo - I always love a crudo. Very Yummy - Scallop Tostada - The apple, yuzu, and scallop are paired so well with each other. - Hot Shoft Shell Crab Sando - Lobster Bisque Roll My favorite dishes we got were the chowdaaa, silican crudo, and scallop tostada. The restaurant is small, would recommend getting a reservation. The inside is basically one long bar with a few 2 seats tables along the long hallway/bar. They had a couple tables outside that could sit 4 people. We didn't have a reservation but got there about 20 minutes before opening on a Sunday on lunch. They ended up having probably 20 ish people in line by the time they opened. They had Cape Cod and Maine oysters the day we went. We decided not to get any since they were market price and we had other oysters in similar regions before so decided to focus on the other dishes.
Very pricey and the seafood is good but nothing exceptional. Overhyped place. If you've had Swan Oyster Bar in San Francisco, their Sicilian sashimi is much better. The grilled skewer was fine but nothing special. The highlight was the $10 martini during 4-6pm

We were seated on the patio, and it was super nice and relaxing. I would have preferred to sit inside, but the patio was still a great experience and had a lovely ambiance. I ordered oysters, a lobster roll with caviar, and fries, and everything was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh and delicious. The lobster roll with caviar was definitely my favorite. Our server was also very helpful and nice. I unfortunately forgot his name, but he made sure we had everything we needed and provided great service. Overall, a wonderful experience with delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and friendly service. I'd definitely come back! read more

I am extremely disappointed with how we were treated at this restaurant, particularly by the hostess. My friend and I, two Asian women, walked in and were told the wait would be approximately 45 minutes to an hour. That was completely fine with us, so we waited outside. While waiting, however, we watched other parties get seated while we continued to wait. I was sitting right by the entrance and personally heard the hostess tell a party of three who arrived roughly 30-40 minutes AFTER us that their wait would be around 50 minutes. Yet somehow, they were seated right away. We also saw two parties who had walked in before us, each consisting of only two guests, get seated at tables for four while we continued waiting. Eventually, we were the last party still waiting outside. When we were finally seated, we calmly mentioned what happened to a male staff member who came to our table. He was very nice, listened to us, and apologized. We appreciated how professionally he handled our concern. Apparently, he then spoke to the hostess about it. Instead of coming over to calmly explain the seating situation, the hostess came to our table visibly angry and started yelling at us, telling us that if we had something to say, we should say it directly to her. At that point, we were so uncomfortable and upset that we decided to leave, even though we had already ordered. As I was explaining to the male staff member that her behavior was incredibly rude and inappropriate, she confronted us again and told us that if we had something to say, we could "say it to her face outside." She then followed/walked us outside and continued yelling at us in front of the restaurant while other customers watched. When we questioned why the party of three who arrived after us had been seated first, she said it was because there were three of them and only two of us, so we had to wait for a table on the two-seater side. I then pointed out a four-person table that currently had only two guests sitting at it. Her explanation then changed, and she said those guests had reservations. However, we had also seen two parties who arrived before us, each with only two guests, seated at four-person tables. Whatever the explanation for the seating order may have been, there was absolutely NO justification for a hostess to come to our table yelling, confront us for privately expressing a concern to another employee, challenge us to "say it to her face outside," and then continue yelling at us in front of the restaurant. As two Asian women, after watching people who arrived after us get seated first, seeing other two-person parties seated at tables for four, and then being treated with this level of hostility when we questioned it, we genuinely felt that we were being discriminated against. Whether that was her intention or not, that is how her behavior made us feel. We came to this restaurant to have a meal, not to be screamed at and publicly confronted by an employee because we raised a concern about how we were being treated. The male staff member who initially helped us was kind, professional, and apologetic, and I appreciate him. Unfortunately, the hostess's behavior completely ruined the experience. We left without eating because we no longer felt comfortable staying. Management should seriously address this. No customer should be treated this way. read more

Was excited to try this spot because I've heard so many good things, but honestly it was ok. Service was great, interior is really nice and we sat at the patio. Only standout was the lobster roll which was super fresh, otherwise nothing from the food stood out. Oyster platter (4/5): oysters were fresh, shrimp was regular, crudo was ok, trout dip was good but feel like they could've used another cracker and not ritz? Chowder (3/5): more loose than usual chowder. Good flavor and lots of clams but nothing special Calamari (4/5): not too much batter and I liked the peppers Scallop tostada (4/5): scallops were fresh but jam was too sweet imo, took away from the scallops Caesar (4/5): solid and very heavy on the anchovy. Lobster roll (4.5/5): best thing we had that night. Roll itself is really small but the lobster was really fresh. Fries were crispy They unfortunately didn't have any pie left when we came and it's their only dessert on the menu. Drinks were also nothing special but cool they have their own fruit soda. Overall not sure if I'd come back, if I did, it'd be for the lobster roll! read more

Found is such a gem! The staff was so accommodating, we arrived a bit early for our reservation and I was so happy they were able to get us seated quickly. The venue is spacious in the dining section. The palette for the restaurant was gorgeous, beautifully rich earth tones. The deep wood color made it feel homey and comfortable. The food came quickly, we got the bread and butter with anchovies, the baywatch platter, broiled oysters, braised trout belly, and the bar steak. Oh plus a scrumptious bottle of NA wine, it was perfectly dry enough to balance the salty brininess of the seafood. The baywatch platter gave us oyster options, tasty and perfectly shucked. The peel and eat shrimp were very well seasoned- and we always love the heads on! That crudo was everything, capers, red onions and the olive oil they use was divine. The butter with anchovies and the bread was great! Though the butters they used on the broiled oysters AND they steak?! Excellent. The meal smacked, no notes. Great vibes, great drinks, will definitely be back. read more

If you're near East Hollywood and craving seafood/oysters, look no further than Found Oyster. Especially during happy hour which I believe is 4-6pm during the week. $10 dirty martinis, they are small but mighty so be careful. As for the food let's get into it: - Smoked Trout Dip (9/10) surprisingly one of our favorite dishes, packed a lot of flavor and paired perfect with the crackers. - Sicilian Crudo (10/10) I've had this at other places, but found oyster does it right. Will be adding caviar next time. - Oysters (8/10) prices were reasonable and the oysters themselves were delicious. Wish they had Kumamoto oysters but their selection was more local. - Clam Chowder (7/10) Wasn't terrible, but I prefer a more thicker chowder. Still, at $9 a cup I would give it another try. I had the most amazing dinner here today. Everything was delicious and I cannot wait to relive it all. The restaurant itself is small, so unless you want to sit outside in the heat, make a reservation. The place was almost full just 10 min after opening. I had planned to try mostly everything raw, but there was a happy hour and skewer menu that they do on Wednesdays and I had to try that as well. Found Oyster has really nailed the raw seafood bar concept. Grab a seat at the bar and order incredible seafood plates and tasty libations. It's sort of pricey, but that's because of all the fresh and amazing seafood. Lobster Bisque Roll: This is one of the best and smallest lobster rolls around. The brioche is lightly toasted and soft as a pillow on the inside. The large firm chunks of lobster are soft, delicate, and succulent. The lobster is subtly sweet and dripping in the juicy aioli sauce. The serrano peppers give tiny pops of heat. Between the soft lobster, crispy-fluffy bread, and snappy chives, this is textural perfection. The frites are at another level. They are extra crispy and soft. Maybe I'm imagining it, but they also taste like they've been dusted with prawn chip salt. Parking: Finding free street parking in the surrounding neighborhood is rather simple. read more

The food here was great! I loved the trout dip and the blue prawns the most. We also ordered French fries so we could dip them in the sauce that comes with the blue prawns, which was a great suggestion from our server! I will also mention I loved the anchovies in the caesar salad, so yummy and the best salty addition. The service here was great, all the servers were kind and had great recommendations. The vibe here is super fun and light. It's got a very hip vibe inside, great music playing but not too loud that it makes it hard to talk. This place is worthy of your "last meal." Everything was exceptional. Even though this place is very popular and a bit of a wait, they let you order drinks while you're waiting and bring them to you. We got the Baywatch, the trout dip, aguachile, apple tostada, toast with butter and anchovies and the fries. The fries were so good, don't sleep on them. Everything we ate had us smiling ear to ear. A bit confused as to why this place is so popular but perhaps it's one of those LA hipster things. We had a reservation and sat at the bar. Service was 10/10, chatted with the server and got to watch them shuck our oysters. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have any of the sweet Pacific oysters I preferred. East Coast ones are very briney, but they were def nice and fresh here. The rest of the food and drink I didn't find worth it for the price. The crudo was $21 and really just made me crave the purity of sashimi. The smoked trout dip was good, but $26, served with ritz crackers, and gone in a few bites. The scallop tostada was $22 for a small, unshareable portion with flavors I found confusing. Yuzu, apple, and basil didn't end up tasting sophisticated with the scallop tostada, it felt like someone had dumped yuzu flavored apple sauce on it. I asked for an extra dirty martini and when I got it I couldn't taste any olive at all, just straight vodka. I love a stiff drink but would love it to be balanced and what I asked for. Can be a cute vibey place for a casual date but found the food/value didn't live up to the hype. read more

This is probably the 4th or 5th time we've dined here - and today was... not the best. The biggest issue was that the kitchen was clearly in the weeds, and our outdoor table took the brunt of that. People indoors seemed to be receiving their food just fine, but the larger tables outside suffered. For hours. We got pretty much zero communication on what was happening; it took almost 2+ hours to receive any cooked food whatsoever. The raw items came out 15-20 minutes into the meal, which meant that we sat for the majority of the time with no entrees and no updates. Keep in mind that one of the hot items we ordered was the clams and mussels - a steamed dish that was literally dumped into a bowl with a pile of raw garlic and fries on top. The broth had a strong alcohol taste that did not cook off. Super underwhelming and disappointing after the 2 hour wait. Moreover, dishes came out seemingly at random, so our table of 4 people ate at different times, with no coordination (I realize some items are family style here, but sandwiches are clearly not). It's not fun/convivial for everyone when some have already completed their meal, and others have not even taken a first bite of their entrees. Ultimately they did offer to take the bread and one tostada off or our bill. A concession, but by no means an acknowledgment of the unpleasant overall experience. I think we're going to give this place a long break. And maybe only come back on a weekday when they're hopefully less busy. read more
I heard of this tasty restaurant while I was out to dinner at another phenomenal restaurant across the street. Walk-ins are welcome but it is strongly advised to make reservations as the place isn't that big . Also if you want to take in the indoor restaurant vibes, book the resy. As we waited to be seated the waitress asked if we wanted something to drink. So we ordered a glass of white wine. It was the perfect introduction to the hospitality and the amazing service. We got seated at the bar and were greeted by another waiter and they took our order. We orders the wedge salad, the half dozen oysters and lobster roll. Wow what a refreshing, yummy dinner. The wedge salad was a first but the lettuce was crisp, the dressing creaming and I could have ordered another. I don't even like blue cheese and I scarfed it down lol. I am an oyster girly so I ordered 3 of each of what the daily oyster selection was. Zero complaints. They were fresh and as yummy as can be! The lobster roll was probably the best roll I had in a long long time. Bringing New England to the West Coast is a slam dunk. Parking is relatively easy. There is plenty of street parking. read more

Small charming hole in the wall type of spot. It feels like you're on vacation in another city or country coming in here. Food was fresh, nice quality and tasty. The favorite from our meal was the smoked trout dip! 10/10 try it with the grilled bread for the most amazing combination. The fresh seafood was delicious and the dips were so flavorful! Clam chowder was a bit on the thinner side, I would have preferred a thicker soup. Scallop tostada is soooo unique! It's sweet and tastes almost like applesauce but the fresh basil absolutely brings everything together so perfectly. A great spot to check out. Highly recommend making reservations. It's been a minute since I've indulged in seafood in LA. Honestly, it's usually not my vibe. I tend to crave seafood when I'm near the water--fresh air, ocean views, away from the city chaos. It's a whole mood. But I got invited to Found Oyster Bar, so here we are. First impression: damn, this place is tiny. They also have sidewalk seating, which definitely gives COVID-era vibes. We had a group of six, so outside seating it was. Cars passing by, cigarette smoke drifting from someone nearby--just not my ideal setting. Even our super kind and attentive server, Lily, was wearing a mask, which kind of added to that feeling. That said... the food quickly changed my attitude. We started with Grandma's Bread with butter, smoked salt, and white anchovies--and wow. Instant favorite. I never would've thought anchovies and butter on toast would work so well, but it absolutely does. Simple, salty, and addictive. Next up was the Baywatch platter, which came with a dozen of their two kinds of their oysters of the day, peel-and-eat shrimp, and Sicilian crudo. The oysters were amazing--savory, clean, and super fresh. Even my friend who normally doesn't eat raw oysters was pleasantly surprised by how much he didn't dislike them (which says a lot, lol). The crudo was solid--tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, I believe. We liked it enough to order a bigger one. This version had capers, olive oil, and a touch of crystallized salt that really hit with every bite. So good. The basic peel-and-eat shrimp was just okay--felt like it stayed in the pan a little too long and didn't have much going on flavor-wise. But the peel-and-eat shrimp with the special sauce? Completely different story. Perfectly cooked, shells came off easily, and that red sauce was insanely addictive. I don't even know what was in it, but it was so good that I ended up soaking it up with Grandma's Bread and topping it with anchovies--total flavor bomb. We also ordered the smoked trout dip, which was excellent. Paired perfectly with the crackers and honestly something I wished I could take home and snack on while watching TV. Overall, the experience was really good. The setting isn't quite my vibe, but the food absolutely delivers. Lily and the rest of the team were fantastic--attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We've been multiple times over the years - pre-baby, pregnant, and most recently post-baby as our final date night of 2025 thanks to a gift certificate from a friend who clearly gets us. Still obsessed. We ordered the crudo and the fish was insanely buttery as always. That scallion + caper bite with the perfect acidity? MM MM MMM. No crumbs. Mussels and clams with fries never let us down. Ever. Get it with bread. This is not a suggestion. The steak came with a beautifully dressed salad that hit salty, bitter, and sour in all the right ways. Steak was a perfect medium rare, tender, and well-seasoned. She ate. The oyster selection is always 1000%. My husband happily goes to town every time. I am not an oyster girl, but I will absolutely nibble on other raw goodies like the trout dip and prawns. We've had the tostada, chowdaa, and plenty of other dishes over the years and nothing has ever disappointed. Pro-tip: Get a reservation if you can plan ahead of time, but you can walk in and test your luck. Great vibes, comfy outdoor seating, and service that is always sweet, efficient, and on it. Came here over the summer before a concert - and it met/exceeded our expectations after checking out their yelp reviews and pictures! My favorite thing about this place was the unique offerings on their menu - lots of unique seafood options you wouldn't find elsewhere. Seems like the menu rotates regularly and has a bunch of specials, which is all the more reason to come back. We ordered the smoked trout drip to start, and this blew us away. The ritz crackers didn't sound so appetizing but omg, they went so well with the creamy dip. We were fighting over the last bite for this one. Was also craving a lobster roll, which was satisfying, and the fries were great too. My dining companions enjoyed their beer and wine selection. Overall the cost was very reasonable for what we ordered, and the service was great. Can't wait to come back! read more

We really enjoyed our experience at Found Oyster. We took advantage of a few of the daily specials. 2 different types of oysters served with a delicious basil dipping sauce and a couple of the rum cocktails. Deeeeelish we also shared the crab dip, made perfectly with just enough binder to let you still really enjoy the crab. We shared a fish sandwich platter, and shared a slice of pie among the table. Service was great. Attentive and full of suggestions. Would definitely go back! read more
If you're a seafood lover Found Oyster is a spot that's a must try. This is now one of my new favorite restaurants when I'm craving a taste of the sea. I've been a couple times in the last month and enjoyed my time there. It's an intimate spot with mainly counter seating so best for small groups or dates. Service has been friendly and the employees seem to enjoy working as they will converse with some of the guests. They have a tight menu with a majority of raw bar items such as oysters, crudo, shellfish, crab dip, sea urchin, etc. These are served on a silver tray on top of ice. They also have a chalkboard with the specials that will change daily. If you're not a seafood fan, they have steak. This is one of the places I can easily recommend to friends and will definitely be back. Two friends and I ordered: + Scallop tostada + Smoked trout dip + Fried oysters + Chowdaaa + peach and sungold salad (special) + grilled Jimmy nardellos (special) + Key lime pie The peaches in the salad were like the best I've ever had. This might be my favorite restaurant in Silver Lake right now. Everything we ordered the seafood, oysters, lobster roll, and steak was absolutely delicious. Truly no misses here! The service felt so warm and welcoming, almost like being taken care of by family. They checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. great fresh seafood. great vibe sitting at the bar. third wheeled with a couple of married friends to catch up on a sunday night nabbing a later reservation. FO graciously expanded our reservation by 1 person after calling a few hours ahead. they even thoughtfully gave us corner seats so all 3 of us could converse more easily. parking in this neighborhood appears to be tight and not ample but was lucky to find some meter or yellow loading parking. everything was delicious. baywatch platter was a show stopper with all of the fresh, delicious oysters, prawns, and sicilian crudo. everything was SO fresh. but the scallop tostada was a bit on the sweet side for me. although i prefer a simpler butter lobster roll and FO makes a mayo based one, it was so good my buddy gobbled up 2 by himself. the cheesy artichoke brandade anchored everything together and gave us something hardy to munch on. i was pleasantly surprised to find that FO also serves martinis complete with blue cheese olives (extra charge for blue cheese) besides a wide array of wine and champagne. we all enjoyed our martinis and went about our merry ways after a great sunday seafood dinner. service was fast, attentive, and hip. resos are not too bad to get on resy if you plan a few days ahead or don't mind a later dinner. will bring a date or would be happy to third wheel again next time. will def be back. read more

They have a family farm to harvest oysters. And get them from other oyster farms also.
I've heard there are no reservations and usually a wait. I plan to bring my brother and his wife for "late" dinner on a Wednesday. Would it be reasonable to expect we can still get in if we show up at 8:30?
Probably wouldn't be a long wait at that point. I recently stopped by at 9 on a Monday and there was no wait.
Do they take reservations?
No, they don't. I typically come within the first hour of opening. I haven't waited more than 30 minutes.
Is there an outdoor area where dogs are allowed?
Half of this restaurant's seating is outside. When I ate there, I saw a couple with a dog dining in. The servers did not say anything so I will say that a dog is fine as long as it's well behaved.
