    Uni- cone
    Ronnie A.

One of the most under rated restaurants in LA. Everything we ate was spectacular and fresh. The owner was incredibly kind. Highlights: Fresh Scallops in shell with uni (sea urchin) The Toro tostada: incredible sauce with unbelievably melt in your mouth fish. We had 3 of these Uni- cone: one of the most unique ways to eat sea urchin. Very California

Great, fresh ceviche and other raw fish dishes. My husband and I decided to stop in for an early dinner on a Friday. We came around 6 and it wasn't too crowded but the server shared that later in the night was booked. There's only a few tables and bar seating inside. Everything tasted fresh and paired so nicely. Delicious dinner!

make a reservation, you will not be disappointed. An unassuming little spot with a bar top and a few tables. You are guaranteed for a treat. Fresh seafood pairs with sharp citrus and bold flavors, often served alongside the tastiest corn tostadas you'll ever try. Gluten sensitive mods on some dishes can be made. Also try the peanut butter balls with habanero sauce to cap it off ‍

Food was good & ambience was nice specially the music, my favorites were the scallops, sea bass crudo and kampachi crudo.

Food had nice complexity with the sauces. Enjoyed that each dish was distinct in flavor. The restaurant is small but no one was there when I arrived so the single server was adequate. Solid place to get good ceviche.

Amazing!! The food is always delicious. The freshness, flavor combinations and taste is just music to my palate. Fantástico!! La comida 10/10 La frescura y la combinación de lo sabores son increíbles. No olviden pedir chiltepin. Best chef in town!

My friends and I came to Ceviche project as it's been on my to try list. The place is cute and intimate. The food was excellent, we got the green agua chile, snapper ceviche, toro salmon , and sea bass. It was served with home made tostada. I was really impressed with the flavor and the quality of fish. I was expecting everything to be sour from the citrus typically used in ceviche but they did a beautiful job in creating subtle and delicious flavors. The food looked great as well! I would definitely comeback and recommend this place. The service was great. Gratuity is already included in your bill.

If you've tried Holbox, you might get a similar vibe but consider the difference in quantity. Service is friendly and the shop is definitely cute and small enough to make small talk with the waiter and cook. As for food, I'd say it's great but not amazing compared to its price. Aesthetically pleasing and unique combinations are the main draw for me, but I can't help but to think how much better I can get from Holbox with the same/lower price point! I don't regret the scallops with uni, oysters, yellowtail, aguachile, and kanpachi.. it's just that I wouldn't necessarily be thrilled to be back. I do love that they have their own parking lot.

Back again to say Ceviche Project in Silverlake is STILL a true hidden gem that shines bright in the East side food scene. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm & intimate vibe that feels both chic and welcoming. A taste of Miami in La! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and they make you feel like you're part of their family. But the real star of the show? The ceviche. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that transport you straight to the coast. Whether you're savoring their classic ceviche or diving into one of their more inventive takes, every bite is a perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and sweet. The fish is melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and the ingredients are top-notch, highlighting the best of local and seasonal produce. Don't miss out on their wines either--they're as carefully crafted as the food, with unique flavors that pair beautifully with the dishes.

This was my second time here. It was my birthday and my cousin was treating me. I chose this place due to my great experience the first time (refer to my previous review). I am very sad to say , I was disappointed with lack of flavor. We ordered almost the same stuff as we ordered last time. Except, it was being made by the owner this time. All the items were lacking salt. The flavors were not there at all. The owner was not friendly either . He was dry, and kind of down in mood, minding his own business. Last time's experience was something else. Both food and service were mediocre this time. It was more like ok hurry up , eat and GTHO kind of a feeling. I'm sorry but this didn't do justice for me at all, and I don't think I'll go back, unless the old staff - Manny and Sam are back again.

Checked out The Ceviche Project, and honestly, it didn't live up to the hype. It's a one-man operation, so the service is pretty slow. The drinks and food seemed premade, and nothing really stood out, especially considering the price. I had the seafood dish with pomegranate seeds, and the seeds didn't really work for me--biting into them felt awkward and didn't mesh well with the rest of the dish. Overall, it wasn't anything special, and I wouldn't be coming back.

This little gem is hidden in Silver Lake and lives up to the hype. Everything is so fresh and once they are out, they are out! While it's on a busy street, they have a private parking lot for these businesses, which is nice. It has a small, intimate setting. The tostada can be for one person or easily split into two to share. Bring some friends so you can try several of their dishes. Everything was delicious! My favorite was the scallop with uni- it was so sweet and paired so well with the uni. They have a housemade habanero oil that provides the perfect kick to their oysters. Because it's a small intimidate setting, the service is fairly fast! We paired our food with their yuzu sake cocktail- and that was perfection! I loved all the food and can't wait to come again to try something new on their menu!

Are Tostada Tuesday's still in effect?

Hi, there. Yes! 4-8:30PM. Unfortunately, today we are going to have to close due to circunstances out of our control. Sorry. See you next Tuesday.

Do you do an oyster happy hour?

    Yes. 4-6PM wed-friday.

Do you take reservations? My wife and I drove an hour yesterday and couldn't get a seat. We ended up across the way at Corazon but would have loved to try your dishes.

The answer is VERY SOON whether or not my car needs additional service. . One more thing to note. Found Oyster is located in East Hollywood, on the same street where Saffy's is. It can be a bit hard to find street parking nearby because of neighborhood rules, but we managed to find a spot after circling a bit. The restaurant is very small, but it has both indoor and outdoor seating. I think the size of it adds to the charm. It also has a nautical theme inside and a New England feel about the place. The seating options inside are either at the bar, or tiny high-top tables. For appetizers, we shared the peel and eat prawns, half a dozen oysters and the sicilian crudo. Everything was good, but the servings were smaller than I expected. I also think that the peel and eat prawns would have been pretty mediocre without the special sauce. For mains, my husband got the lobster roll, while I had the mussels. His lobster roll was good, but in my experience it's hard to go wrong with buttered lobster on bread served with fries. My mussels were fresh and tasty. They were good, but nothing to write home about. Service was friendly and efficient.
