Chicken Biryani was super good, service was great! They have space downstairs and upstairs, and eating up top is very nice on warm nights.

A gem, just across from The Wiltern! There are places nearby with lines...skip them, come here! Bulgogi quesadilla? Amazing. Kimchi steak taco? Not soggy, steak is lean, pico de gallo is perfect counterpoint. Street sandwich? Comfort food. Tortilla pizza? Fantastic (but get the sriracha mayo and Tabasco to accentuate the positive). Beverages? Dynamite. Whiskey with fresh strawberry puree? As good as any tiki bar. Gin with lemonade and lemon cello with sparkling water? Delicious and dangerous. Not for nothing, service has been great both times Highly recommend, looking forward to coming back again!

This was one of the places that we had on a list that we were considering for event venues. It was much smaller than I expected but it could still work for our party. We originally weren't planning to eat here since we had other places to check out but my friends already had a table so we came by to say hi. They tried the food but I didn't so I will skip that part here. Service unfortunately felt very awkward and weird. This takes away from the ambiance in my opinion. We did consider ordering something like dessert (but weren't too keen on the menu) in the short time we were there as a courtesy but it felt very forced and in hindsight would have taken too much time. It just didn't feel warm or friendly at all. Same vibes from hotel staff too (it's inside the Garden Suite Hotel which makes parking slightly easier compared to the rest of the area). We may still return to book an event but to be completely honest I'm not personally inclined to visit again after this experience.

Anthony was the exact opposite. He was a blast from the past, back when people in the service industry were actually happy to see you and treated guests like they mattered. He was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. You really don't see that kind of hospitality in Los Angeles very often anymore. The food was great across the board. The wonton soup hit the spot, and the salt and pepper mushrooms were crispy and hard to stop eating. My favorite thing was the mochi dessert with peanut and black sesame powder. The flavors worked so well together, and the texture was perfect. Between the food and Anthony's service, this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a while. We'll definitely be back.

The way it's set up is pretty cultural. It reminds me of some hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant the way they have metal utensils at each table. It's almost like a self-serve system to certain tools which is pretty common. I haven't drank water out of metal cup in a long time, so that was nostalgic too. We tried a variety of dishes to get a fuller understanding of their menu of what this place has to offer. I was really looking forward to the beef roll because it's usually one of my favorite dishes, but this one was disappointing. I define a good beef roll as one that's a good mix of sweet, savory and refreshing. The meat makes it savory and the veggies are supposed to counter it make the whole dish feel light. If someone disagrees with me, please share your thoughts on what a beef roll should taste like. The one from Pine & Crane was drenched in sauce. I could not taste the meat or the veggies and the whole thing tasted like a stick of sugar. The mapo tofu was on point, but this is quality you can probably make at home. The flavor profile was very similar to that of stuff you'd get a grocery store. The three cup jidori chicken came recommended, so we tried it. The flavor is very pungent and goes well with rice. They definitely add to the experience and make you feel comfortable asking questions or getting recommendations. Drinks: Fun and refreshing. Joshikai: Refreshing and on the sweeter side, but really good. If you like the mug and decide to take it home, there is a $150 fee. Food: Fun Japanese fusion. Lots of creative dishes and flavor combinations, with familiar Japanese dishes given a fun twist. I recommend: Spicy Tuna Hand Rolls: Comes in a bowl with rice on the bottom and seaweed paper on the side so you can make your own hand rolls. Fun way to eat it and you can make each bite as big or small as you want. Yakisoba: These noodles are really well seasoned from the sauce and wagyu. Lots of flavor and definitely something I recommend. Negima: Chicken skewers that come with a sweet and savory sauce. The sauce adds a really nice flavor to the chicken and makes this an easy one to order. Soft serve: must try Their homemade ice cream is delicious and captures the essence of the strawberry flavor. It was packed with so much flavor and the aji verde sauce paired well with it. The bread was so fluffy. Spicy Tuna Handrolls - Fresh ingredients, and you're gonna have to hand roll these yourself! I would have much rather preferred they come rolled already. Maitake & Arugula Salad - Super refreshing salad and added a great balance to our meal. Charred Japanese Sweet Potato - OMG I loveeeeed these sweet potatoes! Who would have that chives paired so well with it? Scallop Crudo - We really enjoyed this dish A LOT. The cilantro vinaigrette paired with slices of pear gave this dish such a refreshing taste. I'd definitely order this again Tokyo Banana Soft Serve - A big portion to share and tasted just like the actual Tokyo Banana from Japan. Overall, a great place and I definitely recommend. Enjoy!

The braised pork belly was so incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth, and paired with the pickled carrots and cucumbers tucked into that steamed bao bun - so juicy. The wood ear mushroom and bean curd stick salad was a nice lighter contrast to the heavier dishes too. We tried the beef noodles as well. The noodles were a bit on the tougher side, which is kind of expected with this style, but the flavors were solid overall. But do NOT sleep on dessert. I had to order the deep fried bao bun with ice cream scoop inside and it was delicious. Absolutely worth saving room for if you're looking to end your meal off with a sweet treat! However, I just got whatever was available. Going down the list of foods my friends and I shared: - Manti: Huge dumplings made out of beef and fat. These were meaty and tasty. They paired well with the side red sauce which was tangy and helped cut the fatiness of the manti. Dumpling skin could've been softer, but still pretty good. It is 5 pieces per order. - Kuurdak: A beef and potato dish. The beef was tender and I loved the flavorful potatoes with onions!
