Cowboy omelette - Omelette served with breakfast potatoes and a side of salsa, accompanied by various drinks including water, wine, and a cocktail, on a restaurant table.

Absolutely wonderful food and service. Our waiter (Edwin) was excellent!!! 5 star service at a very valued price. $15 unlimited mimosas is unheard of in the DMV area. All with a view of the race track. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful salad with shrimp - A plate features a mixed green salad with shrimp, slices of toasted bread, and a Caprese salad with tomato, mozzarella, basil, and balsamic glaze.

The place is incredibly clean, nicely decorated, and just welcoming. I was seated promptly, and my waitress recommended the Irish stew, which is what I went with. She also recommended a very tempting tasting flight, and I'm not going to admit to enjoying that while on lunch break. I'm not denying it. I'm just not admitting it. The stew was fantastic and really hearty. It warmed me up almost as much as the flight of... tea did. I couldn't resist getting dessert. The bread pudding was delicious and worth going back for on it's own.

My wife saw they had black bean soup and a pork special, so we decided to stay and were seated. Since our last visit about a year ago, they've made some changes. The seating has been updated, with a second bar added along with high-top tables and booths. The space looks very nice. Our server came over, took our drink order, and we asked for a bowl of the black bean soup. When he returned, my wife asked how the pork special was, and he said it was very good, so she ordered it. I ordered the cod fish and chips. When the food came out, everything looked good at first. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were very greasy -- it seemed like the fries were placed on the plate to soak up the grease from the fish. My wife's pork dish was worse. She was given two slices with connective tissue running through them that were so tough she couldn't even get a fork into them. The other piece was also extremely tough and difficult to cut, and the gravy had no flavor. When our server finally came back to check on us, my wife showed him the pork. His response was simply that he would let the manager know and take it off the bill. There was no offer to replace the dish or bring her something else to eat. After that, we never saw him again. My wife eventually asked another server for tea, which a different server brought. Later, another server came by to see if we were finished. I asked how much the eggnog was, and she quoted the price for a bottle, said I just want a glass, she said I'll get you a menu I explained to another waitress I just wanted a glass. Eventually, I got it -- though I asked for it without ice, and it still came with ice. At that point, I just drank it. The best thing was the bean soup. Overall, this was not a good meal and honestly the worst experience we've had in the 10+ years we've been coming here. Between the food quality and the lack of follow-up from our server, it was very disappointing. It will be quite a while before we return.

Not really my type of music, but I get it. There's not much direction when you walk in (no "wait to be seated" or anything), so we just found a booth on our own. Our server was friendly and attentive, so no complaints there. Food was a bit hit or miss:    *   Steak fries were actually really good -- better than their regular fries in my opinion    *   Wings were just okay this time. We asked for them well done, but they didn't come out that way and were a little lacking in flavor Also, one of the entrances was closed, so we had to walk around to the front, which wasn't a huge deal but worth noting. Overall, it was fine. Not a bad experience, just nothing that really stood out this time.

One in our party got here first and grabbed a table. My party of three was the second to arrive. Two more filtered in during the 4.5 hours we spent here. I love sports bars. The more I'm away from home when games air, the more I look for spots with lots of TVs. Granted, I'm more of a basketball and hockey fan, but football has become more interesting now that the hubby plays fantasy. Food here was your typical offerings except I'm from CA, so we don't normally have crab everywhere. I like that there's crab cakes, crab soup, crab dip, etc. I literally ordered crab something almost everywhere we went. I do love it so. Drinks were a plenty as well. We kept a good rhythm and our server dropped by at the right times for refills. I also tried a crush for the first time. Kinda like a screwdriver, but weaker than I like. Nothing a shot of vodka couldn't fix. Great spot to watch sports. REVIEW #3875

    Pub Dog - garlic bread

On a recent, cold December evening, a friend and I decided to take a break to grab a quick bite to…read moreeat and agreed on Pub Dog in Columbia. We seated ourselves and the server came over promptly to take our drink orders while we perused the menu. The offerings are simple - a few appetizers, salads, and a wide variety of personal sized pizzas with numerous topping combinations. Our drinks arrived quickly we placed our order. My friend tried one of their craft beer offerings, Black Dog, listed as an Irish Stout, and mentioned it was good, but probably not memorable, lacking a depth and smoothness when compared to the classic Guiness, but drinkable and for a local product it was better than most craft brewery attempts at stout varieties.   We chose to split a Caesar's salad and chose the Spinach Pizza and Dog Pound Pizza for our main course. As we waited, numerous other staff came by to check on us verging on the edge of being annoying. While friendly in their approach, it seemed like a bit of overkill considering we had our drinks and were waiting for our pizzas. The place was less than half full, so they were probably just trying to be attentive and friendly. The salad and Dog Pound Pizza arrived soon after but there was no sign of my Spinach Pizza. If you'd like the salad before the pizza, I'd suggest you let them know in advance. After a few minutes we mentioned it to one of the servers checking on us, they went to check and returned saying it would be another 5 minutes or so - I think they forgot when they put the order into the kitchen.   The salad portion was quite large and was quite good for a Caesar salad and frankly, better than a lot of fancier establishments, plus there was enough for leftovers. We were a little disappointed with the pizzas themselves. The toppings were plentiful, maybe to a fault, and tasty but there was something lacking. For a specialty pizza place I would have expected a better crust - for both pizzas it was a bit soggy and difficult to lift off the plate for a proper bite. We ended up eating with a fork. Heartier appetites would finish the individually sized pizzas, but we had enough to take home for lunch the next day.   The atmosphere is sports bar like; the service prompt, courteous, and maybe a bit over-attentive; the portions and toppings generous; the price is extremely fair - a decent choice if you're in the neighborhood, but not quite a foodie destination establishment unless perhaps you're a beer enthusiast.

There is the caveat that I ordered carry-out instead of dining in this time and it was a much more seamless process. I placed my order on their website (which is powered by Toast) and it was ready perfectly in time with my designated pickup time. My order came out ready and hot and all the pizzas and garlic bread came out great. In retrospect, I don't know that I would've ordered the garlic bread because I was expecting more of a garlic breadstick situation instead of a sauceless cheese pizza, but that's more of my own fault for not looking at any pictures first. All in all, it was a much more positive experience and I appreciate the management for working so hard to fix any road bumps in service.

My husband is a die-had Arsenal fan and was overjoyed by the chaotic bar scene he encountered as soon as he entered. The City + Arsenal game had the entire bar packed with fans from both sides pulling up random seats wherever there was a free space. We came a bit late into the game but found a seat in a quieter area of the restaurant that still had good television access. With the dreary rain outside, it felt like we had settled right in a proper British pub! Food wise: - For my husband: Wings were generous, grilled, and delicious with interesting flavors - For me: Fish and chips were light, flakey, and came with some of the best house cut fries I've ever had. - For the kiddos: Although they had a kids menu, my daughters decided to split some pancakes (basically crepes with raspberries and cream sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Portions are more than generous and the managers were bustling around, talking shop, and thanking everyone who walked through their door. We will definitely be back!
