I have found this gem, which has become my permanent go-to "home". The owner, Sandy, is always accommodating and never tries to upsell you. There is always parking, and they are only closed on Sundays. Appointments are recommended, but they will gladly accept walk-ins. The vibe is relaxing, spotlessly clean, and I have never had any problems. If something is not right, they'll make it right. I always get my mani and pedi there. I've been to this nail salon twice before and really enjoyed my experience. This time was much different. I scheduled an appointment for 4:45pm on a Monday and was not seated to be serviced till 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time. What was the point of making an appointment? I got a no chip manicure and classic pedicure as a special treat to myself for vacation. Within the last 10 minutes of finishing up my manicure, they switched girls on me to finish the job off which was frustrating to feel so pushed aside for others who did not make appointments throughout the entire appointment. After all the annoyance, my no chip nails half peeled off within 4 days and were entirely off within 5! No chip is supposed to last about 2 weeks and I did not take part in any abnormal activity to make them peel early. I will not be returning here and hope others don't have an experience as infuriating as mine. read more

I have visited this nail shop twice. The first time I had a decent experience. I walked in without an appointment but they were able to accommodate me for my no chip. I ended getting seated but waiting over 10 min for someone to come take care of me. My tech was ok, didn't say a word and that's ok as I was enjoying the music they were playing. My no chip aaa good and it lasted me over two weeks. I came back again and this time I got a different tech. I decided to get a pedicure too. This is where my experience with them goes down hill. I was asked to soak my feet in luke warm water. She mage a little hotter I think because she saw my reaction. She proceeded to file my feet and I am very sensitive and ticklish but other people know how to file my feet without causing too much discomfort. This girl just sort of filed the bottom of my feet and gave up. Then she cuts my toe nails. I didn't complain as to the shape because I figured she would file them. I get a leg and foot massage from her and this was the worst "massage " I have ever had. She had extremely hot stones and she placed them on my legs!! I said no too hot so she waited a bit longer. Then she slides the the rocks on my legs, no pressure, nothing! She used her hands and no pressure she was simply rubbing them. It was so bad I wanted to shout STOP!! After my most disappointing leg run down she grabs the polish. I said no you need to file my toe nails. She half did that too. I had to ask her twice to fix the shape. Now we get to my mani, this was not as bad until she cut my cuticle and made me bleed!!!! Ugh... the whole experience was awful. I didn't complain because it wouldn't have mattered abc k just wanted to get the heck out of there. To top it off my pedicure chipped in 2 days. Got a pedi on Thursday night and by Saturday morning my toes were chipped , just in time for Easter. I will not be returning read more

I do not recommend going here. I got a deluxe mani pedi with normal polish. The man who did my pedicure had me wincing in pain half the time. I was just a walk in and waited for almost 2 hours, I understand it gets busy but I was at least hoping i'd get a good nail job done. The guy I got seemed really rushed. The nails to me personally came out looking slightly crooked. He did at least ask if I liked them a couple times at the end but at that point it was too late to say anything and i'm more shy so I didn't complain. He then used some sharp needle like drill and jabbed too hard at my nails like 4 times. I told him twice he was hurting me and he apologized but at that point I was already bleeding. I went to this salon while my regular salon had too long of a wait. I only needed an acrylic fill with gel polish. The nail tech filed my nails down so much leaving my nails uneven and incredibly thin. I usually wait 3-4 weeks before getting another fill, i barely made it two weeks with this set before it started chipping. My middle finger was painful since it was so far filed down. When i went to my regular nail salon, i needed a new set because almost all of my nails had lifted from the acrylic, and the acrylic was so thin it would have kept breaking. read more

I finally found my nail salon after searching and going to so many over the past 8 months. I read reviews and seen Sandy the manager there was the best so I booked an appointment with her. Do not just walk in or you will have an hour long wait, always book an appointment first!! Sandy was right on time and funny and chatty and did my nails beautifully. There are 5 nail salons by my house and I choose to drive the extra 45 minutes just to see Sandy at Tip 2 Toes. My nails looked perfect and I get the no chip gel manicure. Even my fiancé noticed how pretty they were. This picture I took is of my nails 2 weeks later and how they didn't chip or break. This place is a hidden gem. Sandy always does an amazing job whether I get a no chip or dip. I will continue to make the 45 minutes trip to her because no one compares to her work and their customer service. Requested a fill, no chip nail polish and jewels on my ring fingers. The customer service, nail shape and polish looked great. After a few days some of the jewels came off and the no chip started chipping. I went in for a no charge repair. They fixed the problem! After a couple of days the same no chip repaired nails chipped again along with the others that were not retouched! I've had no chip before and was familiar with the product brand that was used. I have been here a total of 4 times, so I feel confident to write a review. Although I always jinx myself, and as soon as I write a review, I stop liking the places I go to lol. But so far, so good! They're really accommodating of walk-ins. I never know when I'm getting off of work, and on both Thursdays and Fridays, it has worked for me. I've gone in as early as 4PM and as late as 6PM, and never had to wait longer than 15 minutes. Most times they sat me right away. The deluxe pedicure feels really nice, and both times I've gotten them done, they really took care of me and gave me a nice massage on feet/legs. Their massage chairs are also one of the best ones I've tried! It's super strong, feels really good. I always go for a no chip for my fingernails. I have fragile nails, and they're especially bad when they're long. Always break. But they have been staying pretty strong and only broke a little bit at the tip, which I was able to easily file on my own. The polish lasts me 2 weeks or more. I could easily go 3 or 4 weeks, but the nail growth starts looking weird, so I go sooner than that. They have water and some coke products that they offer you as soon as you sit down, which is such a nice touch. The place seems really clean as well, which I appreciate. I don't have a favorite staff member yet, since each time I was taken care of by a different member, but they all seems really good at what they do, and I'll continue to visit them every couple of weeks, and hope I didn't jinx myself with this review. read more

I love Tips 2 Toes!! I happily drive here from Glen Ellyn every 2 weeks. I could easily go 3-4 weeks but I get bored fast. They have so many dip colors but I'm pretty rough on my nails and I like them pretty long so I switched back to gel nails with gel polish. They have an awesome selection of gel polish and matching regular polish for toes. They are super busy so I recommend making an appointment even if it's calling ahead. I make sure I book my next one when I'm there. Fun fact when they ask if you want a water it's a full sized water bottle! Little things like that stick out to me. Oh and PAY CASH they have a rewards program and you get more points each time for paying cash I've been going there since May and I have almost $30 I'm just waiting till I get a free new set. Moving to N. Aurora from Chicago meant looking for new go-to places for me, and one of them is a nail salon. I tried out a couple of places in the area. The first one was very, (for a lack of a better term) "bougie" and only took appointments. Although I do respect that that's the way they want to conduct their business, a few times I walked in, the place was nowhere near packed and they turned me away and said nothing is available even though their sign said Walk-Ins welcome. The next place I tried was small and seemed sketchier than usual, but I tried it. They didn't butcher my nails or anything but it was definitely sub-par than what I'm used to paying for; and their prices are not that much cheaper either in relation to the work they performed. I finally tried Tips 2 Toes and I'm glad I did. They always welcome walk-ins and try their best to accommodate. I have been in this place when it was packed to the brim and even then, they work fast, efficient and my nails turn out beautiful. Although there is a nail tech I would prefer not work with, not because of the results but mostly related to attitude while working with me, this is not enough for me to turn away. Their rewards system is a plus; something that I have not seen in a salon in Chicago (that I've been to). Prices seem fair and not more expensive or cheaper than what I used to pay for in the city. As others, I moved to the area a few years ago and have tried many nail salons. I am so happy I was given a gift certificate for Tips 2 toes which has turned out to be my permanent nail salon. I have been coming to this salon for awhile now and have NO complaints. Though everyone there is very pleasant and welcoming, Tammy is the technician I make my appointments with. Tammy is always very kind, we talk and laugh, she does an excellent job and always makes sure I'm happy. I go for pedicures and dip services which easily last me 3 weeks. I've never had a problem with chipping or lifting. The salon also gives you money back for paying in cash that you can use on your next visit or accumulate for however long you choose. Last night I went to Tips 2 Toes Nails for a pedicure after reading the great reviews. It did not disappoint! They had an excellent variety of colors to choose from, and the place was really clean and friendly. I was immediately greeted and the gentleman doing my pedi waited patiently as I chose a color. Everyone was really friendly, and I found myself in conversation with my pedicurist, 2 ladies next to me, and their pedicurists. Now, as far as the actual pedicure, dare I say it was the best I've ever had. My feet were a total mess, and I was borderline embarrassed to even be letting someone touch them. My pedicurist spent time cleaning, scraping, and massaging. I think it also was the longest pedi I've ever had. You could tell that he actually wanted to make sure my feet looked awesome, and wasn't just going through the motions. This is officially my pedicure place.
