I have been going to Nail Spa Couture off and on for special occasions for a few years now and I have never been more disappointed. I went to get nails done, my first issue was the lady doing my nails did not even do a second coat. That being said, I could literally see through my nails. Second issue was, I asked for a small line in a darker color that would outline the French tip on my nails. The lady specifically told me she was capable of doing that, but when they were done there was gaps in between the polish and the lines were messy. At first I just let these issues go because overall in the past I had had good experiences here. But then a week after having these nails one of my nails completely fell off. So I called the store to see if I could get a nail replacement, free of charge since I had had my nails for less than a week at this point. The guy on the phone said they would absolutely fix it for free and then I brought up the issues I had with the color/design on my nails and the guy on the phone said to come in and they would charge me $15 for a new color to be put on my nails. After my nails got fixed and repainted, I went to check out and the lady told me my total was $45, so I questioned her as to how it was $45 when I was told a color change was only $15. The guy I had spoke to on the phone, as well as the lady at the register were both there at this point. The man admitted that he told me it was only $15 for a color change, as the lady stood there in complete silence looking at me as I questioned why I was being charged more than I was told. The man proceeds to tell me that it was his mistake that he did not ask me what type of nails I had and what type of nails I would want as a color change. Me, as the customer, would have no idea what the charge would be for a color change (especially since I was ONLY getting a color change because I was not happy with the original nails). I wasn't sure why he told me $15, but me as the paying customer wasn't going to question it, I thought maybe they were being nice and giving me a discounted price since I was not happy with my original nails. Come to find out that was not what they were doing. After I explained what the told me on the phone to the lady at the register and continued to look at me like I was stupid in complete silence and pointed at the register for me to pay the full amount ($45). At this point, I was very upset, first I had nails I was not happy with to begin with, then a nail fell off after a week, then I am told to come in to get it fixed for $15 and now am being forced to pay $45. So I called the store shortly after my interaction and explained even further why I was upset and that the only reason I got a color change was because I was unhappy in the first place and they said to come back to the store and they would just charge me the $15. So I come all the way back to the store so they can adjust my price. When I get there they are wanting me to sit down and redo my nails and I said no I was just coming here to get the price adjusted. Then another lady comes up and says if you. want to be charged only $15 you MUST sit down and have her take off all your nails and completely start over and get regular polish with NO no-chip. I questioned why I would sit down and have them completely redo my nails when I had just got them done an hour ago and the only issue was the price. The lady proceeded to tell me that the man on the phone did not ask me enough information about the type of nails and polish I had which is why he told me it would be less than it was, and that the only way for them to charge me the $15 was if I sat down for another hour and got all my nails taken off and redone to the type of polish that would cost $15 normally. I questioned them at this point, because wouldn't me sitting down to to have them take off all my nails and completely redo them be more of a waste of their products, money, and time? She said that is the only way they do it. I said well I am fine with just keeping what they did if they could just adjust the price to what I was told it would be ($15). She told me "Absolutely not" and that I MUST sit down and have them make my nails less of a quality nail in order for them to change my price to $15. So they lied to me on the phone two times and that was the only reason I came back originally was because it was going to be cheap to fix them, then came BACK into the store for them to adjust it because that's what they said on the phone. But I was lied to yet again. I asked if instead of redoing my nails, could they compensate me in any way such as taking a percentage off and again the lady told me "absolutely not". I was also told that it was "common sense" that my nails would be more than $15. But maybe their employee should be the one that is telling me the correct thing, not the customer that should just know the price??? So I left paying full price, pretty much the price of a fill when I had no nails filled read more
