If your search is for a nail salon that knows what they are doing, what is trending in the industry, is safe, efficient, and does excellent work this is a fantastic place. If you are looking to walk into a salon, and have people who don't speak English to each other, try to sell you a "full set" and then tell you they are using Gel when they are not, this is NOT the place to go to. These are licensed, professionally trained staff with various degrees of experience dealing with your nails. I have referred them over the years to at least 6-8 people after their nails were almost destroyed by a lesser quality salon. As for the reception staff, I find them all to be helpful and professional. Perhaps the receptionist was having an off day? Perhaps the best way to handle it is to simply call the owner and speak to her about the issue, making her aware and able to rectify the situation, that's what I would do. Bottom line, Pricing is fair, atmosphere is great, people are friendly, they are professional and do amazing pedicures as well. Highly recommend. read more

Tried to make an appointment online, but payment was expected at the time of scheduling (ridiculous). The fee didn't reflect the discount I was told was available for pedicures on a Tuesday, so I used the "contact us" email address asking about an appointment. Never got a response. Called the salon a couple of days later to schedule, but it was a few minutes before opening and got voicemail. I left a message asking them to call and letting them know what I was looking for. Again, no response. I certainly wouldn't schedule an appointment online. If they can't work with email or voicemail, I certainly wouldn't trust that an online prepaid service would be on their schedule. read more

I sure wish I had known about this place before spending money on the horrible set of nails I paid for in July. As my 19th wedding anniversary was approaching, I decided to have my nails prettied up. I went to a local shop down the street to have some length and color added to my nubbins. I spent about $60, and hated the results. The nails looked huge. Too thick, uneven, and not natural at all. Not even close. My thumbnails looked like I had wads of bubblegum stuck to the tips. Ga-Ross! Knowing I didn't trust the original tech to fix them, and not wanting to risk damaging my nails further by removing the acrylic, I waited a few weeks, then went to Sarabella. Janelle worked quickly and efficiently, and at the same time paid very close attention to my wishes, and her own work. She poured over my nails with file like an artist, thinning them out and reshaping them to my liking. She then 'backfilled' with gel, so that I can begun to transition to a simple gel overlay. Even with the remaining acrylic, the result is gorgeous. My nails look much thinner, more natural, and... Just really, really pretty. Thanks a bunch, Janelle! I couldn't be happier with my hands! The shop is modern and clean, and the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are a bit higher than your run of the mill 'corner nail salon,' as they use quality products and pay their educated employees a fair wage. Sanitation and safety is stressed at Sarabella, as well. Don't waste your time at one of the cheaper nail salons, just to save a few bucks. read more

Absolutely loved my pedicure yesterday. I think it was the best pedi I've ever had, so relaxing, and gentle and perfect!

This review is purely on the customer service from the receptionist, not on the experience as a whole. Unfortunately, the attitude will keep me from returning to Sarabella. I was running late for my appointment because of work, which I completely own. I called Sarabella at 5:50 (10 mins before my appt.) apologizing and letting them know I would be running late. The response was, "well, when are you gonna be here?" I expected to only be between 5-10 minutes late, but unfortunately traffic on rt. 34 at 6:00 didn't aide in getting me there. Sarabella called me and said, "You're 20 minutes late now so she doesn't have time to do a full set, so do you wanna come in or reschedule?" Her attitude and the fact that they were basically canceling when I was turning into the place was strange to me so I said I'd have to call back. After I got off the phone I was more annoyed with her attitude than anything. I called back to cancel any further appointments I had set up at Sarabella and let them know I'd be looking for another salon when she decided to say, "well, it's just that she has another appointment after you so she wouldn't have time to do a full set, that's all." Hm, so much friendlier when I pull my business. Sorry, but if you're rude when I'm a customer, I won't be a customer anymore. I don't have ANY issue with the fact that they could no longer fit my full appointment in, I completely understand that and would've not pulled my business from them had the receptionist been a tad bit friendlier and explained a little more instead of her eloquent, "You're 20 minutes late so she doesn't have time..." call. Here's a tip to business owners: Your receptionist (and, by default, the FIRST people your customers see/talk to) should at least understand common courtesy. I'm sorry I won't be going there, I actually really liked Nicole, the girl who was doing my nails--I just can't justify spending my money at a place that doesn't appreciate their customers enough to even have common courtesy. read more

I went in today for the first time really excited since I had heard good things about this place. I called to make an appointment before for a nail take off at 630pm. Got there a little early but still waited a good 10 minutes past my nail appointment time. When I sat down and the nail tech Kathy looked at my nails she asked if they were gel, I said acrylic with no chip color over them. She proceeded to then get up I could tell she was annoyed at this point and say "they've been dropping the ball a lot" walking towards the back. She came back to me annoyed telling me how she could not take me since she didn't have an hour to take my nails off and thought this was a regular no chip take off which would only take 15 minutes. I got up went to the front and asked the girl if anyone else could take me, she said no but that I would come back later that evening. Mind you it was now about 645 and I had to put my kids to bed at 730. Not only was this a huge disappointment but also being a part of such unprofessionalism by this nail tech, was horrible considering I've been getting my nails done for over 14 years now. Also not once did anyone offer me or suggest anything to make this right to me. I will not be coming back or ever recommending this salon to any of my friends. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I have heard so many great things about this place that I decided to go. I decided to treat myself for New Year's and get a manicure and pedicure. I got the hot stone pedicure and a basic manicure. It was by no means inexpensive. When I had my pedicure done the workers were talking very crudely. There was a woman in the chair next to me getting a pedicure and the girl working on her toes and the girl working on mine were talking about sodomy. Not really what I wanted to hear on my pampering day. When they did my manicure they really didn't know what to do because I did not want a no chip. I just wanted a regular polished manicure. After they finish painting my nails they made me sit at a table in the corner that looks like it was purchased on craigslist with a little hand dryer that looks like it was purchased in the dollar store. They treated me kind of weird and for the money I paid I don't feel like I left with the experience I wanted. Everyone talked about how great this place was but between the crew conversation and the not knowing how to do a regular manicure I don't believe I'll be back. read more

We were 6 minutes late due to a horrible rain storm and road construction and they said they could do my daughters pedicures b/c "they didn't have time now". Super rude and would never go back. We crossed the street to Beauty Nail & Spa, they got us right in and were awesome to the girls for half the price!! *update - the owner called to apologize after reading my reviews. This review is quite dated and I am acknowledging the fact that my unpleasant experience relates to when sarabella first opened; however, my experience was so unpleasant that I am still convinced on sharing my story. In fact, I am still kicking myself for never having them reported to the better business bureau. To those that have had a pleasant experience, I'm sure your opinions are well assessed as well. I live extremely close to sarabella. I was nearly 20 at the time and had extra money around and found an interest in gel nails. Seeing sarabella looked like a nice, clean place with a professional atmosphere from the outside, I decided to walk over (since I live so close) and try out gel nails for my first time. I was extremely excited and was escorted to a clean work area and explained to that the woman who was doing my nails was in training or a beginner and that my set would be half off. I didn't mind as I thought it a great deal and considered myself a beginner to gel nails as well. Upon leaving, I was explained by the receptionist (?) that because I had received service from a beginner, my next fill would be free. This sounded wonderful to me. Within a couple weeks, I came back and was seated to begin a fill. At the end of the service, the woman, I assume the receptionist, stated my total. I explained that she herself had mentioned the fill was free while she shot back that only a fill with that certain beginner would be free. Now, I would be completely willing to pay my total if this HAD BEEN EXPLAINED TO ME BEFORE, but she was never clear on the rules. (News flash, when a client hears "free" and you mention no catch along with it, they assume you mean free!) I explained she had not mentioned any terms or conditions and she did not care to settle it or make any attempt to at least offer a minuscule discount on behalf of her mistake. Regardless, I did pay the full fee, and I did return for a fill again because I felt intimidated to argue back with an older woman who wouldn't even budge...until I realized I felt like I was more or less not really valued as a client. The moral of my story is that, no matter how young or old a client is...if they have money and come in to give you their business, be fair and don't take advantage of them because they seem "nice" and you cannot bite your tongue and take responsibility for your mistake. I work with a lot of clients now and understand the strength of being able to offer a professional service to all people regardless of their age. I felt as if being so young at the time, they probably assumed that a mistake on their part wouldn't apply to someone inexperienced. To this day I have not gone to this location. I would not recommend sarabella to anyone I know and if anyone asks about my opinion/experience, I will gladly share this same story. I have been going to Sara Bella for about 3 years. I have always loved the staff that works there and always left with the best nails Today was my first time going to Sara Bella in about 8 months. I moved out of town and haven't had a chance to come out that way. I am pregnant and due in about 2 weeks, so I thought I would treat myself to a pedicure. I went with the basic pedicure package because all I really wanted was a clean up and polish. I walked out of there today and cried the whole way home. I'm already swollen from being pregnant and it being 90 degrees out and now I have to deal with my actual toes hurting. The girl that did my toes rushed the job and it shows. She did a sloppy job painting my nails and got it all over my skin. She then used the wooden stick to dig into my skin and clear off the polish. After putting on two coats of polish, she took the clear top coat and painted my nail and all the skin surrounding it. I was so upset, I just walked out of the salon and went home. I examined my toes at home and saw that the top coat isn't even on half my nails, the polish has brush strokes you can see and at the base of all my toes I have build up because too much polish was put on and not done neatly. I am beyond disappointed and feel I wasted my money today. Tomorrow I plan on taking off this nail polish and trying to paint my own toes because I know I will take the time and effort to do it. I am extremely sad that this happened and never plan on returning to Sara Bella again. I miss my old nail techs. read more
