This place came highly recommended by a friend. I saw the reviews and was excited to go because I hear so many great comments. I called to make and appt. and the gentleman seem taken back by me calling for an appt. but said the time I choose was fine. I got to my appt. 10mins before and walked in and was not greeted because the man at the front desk was busy texting on his phone. After standing there he looked up and said how can I help you. I informed him I had an appt and he said okay pick a color and I was not sure where to go. He pointed to a wall and then after looking I found it behind the wall he pointed too. He then walked over and told me which colors to pick from when he noticed I was looking at the wrong colors. A lady brought me back and wrapped my nails to remove my fake nails/polish then stood on her phone in front of me. She then walked to the back while I soaked. She then started my nails and kept messing up and having to go back to fix the error and pick fibers she noticed. The man from the front desk made a comment about her taking so long in which I felt bad he said that to her. I think she was new to this because she forgot to file my nails before painting, in which my nail beds/skin was stuck to the polish and nail. She also kept looking at other techs and almost seemed like she was trying to remember the next step in application. I went home looked closely and see that it was a messy job and ended up pulling apart my skin from the edges/nail beds. I am giving them two stars because I feel like other techs might be better but mine was not. read more

I've been going here for well over a year now and I've had such a great experience every time. I typically go for a pedicure only but the handful of times I've had manicure service have been equally as enjoyable. The staff has always been kind, helpful, and done a great job with my feet and hands. The interior is very clean and well-ventilated, doesn't have that headache-inducing chemical smell. This was my first time visiting the salon and I must say that I wasn't impressed with the services received. To start, the salon is beautiful, very clean and organized. They did a good job of accommodating me as a walk-in client. There was about an hour wait, but upon my return I was immediately taken back to the chair. Everything started off good and slowly went down hill. After I was seated in the nail tech's chair, I had to wait for about 10 mins for her to end her phone conversation before starting my service. As she started to prep my nails, I asked her to reshape a few of nails as they weren't in the almond shape that I'd requested. The nail tech wasn't too happy about having to make the correction. She completely stopped talking during the service and began to handle me very roughly. I didn't bother to ask her to correct anything else but overall my nails are very subpar. The pedicure was only ok, nothing magical about it. The one thing I will point out is during my pedicure, the nail tech next to us didn't have a place to put his supplies so he put them on the cart that was being used for my service. I watched him use a tool from my service on someone else. I'm sure it was a mistake, but it is one to be noted. After service update. I've had my powder set for only 3 days and they look very worn. One nail has a crack, all of my nails have lost the luster and you can see all of the shape and coverage imperfections. I have definitely had better wear out of dip sets for a much cheaper price. read more

I went to Buffed Nails after seeing positive reviews on here and this is my new go-to place! In the past few years, I haven't been happy with any nail salons in the area but I left today completely satisfied and with my nails looking great. I called a little before 7 (they close at 8) and they managed to squeeze me in for a mani pedi, which was really nice since a lot of places will turn you away if it's that late. The interior of the place is very modern and upscale. Everything is also very clean and the staff was super friendly. My pedicure was AMAZING. I got the "spa pedicure" which was $40 but it was worth the cost! I have calluses all over my feet and dry, cracked skin so the spa pedicure was heaven for me and now my feet are softer than they've been in years! I also got a regular manicure, which I was very happy with. My nail tech, Mary, was so great. I highly recommend her. She was friendly, attentive and did such a good job! My only tiny complaint is that you have to tip in cash. Luckily, I had cash with me at the time, but I don't always. However, they do give you a 5% discount if you pay in cash, which I thought was nice. read more

I have tried to contact the Manager Trang for the past two weeks. Once by going to the salon, and then my leaving a message. My intention was just to inform her of the disappointment I had of my young daughters being taking advantage with the service charges. We have been searching for a nice nail salon since moving here and were so happy we found this location. In fact, I may have even mentioned how much I thought your shop was so nice and was happy to finally find a place. That said, I wanted to give you the courtesy of letting you know what your employee "Lee" did when it came to the tip part of the service. Clearly you have a sign that states that tip cannot be added to the credit card and when my daughter said she was wanting to give $20 for both services since she was treating her sister from her first paycheck to a manicure, she said "Lee " frazzled her and then she knew something didn't sound right when he said we don't usually charge tip but he would do it for her and then she thought the total was too high and was too embarrassed to say anything. I'm pretty sure "Lee" knew exactly what he was doing and I just wanted you to know a $40 tip on a $66 service is ridiculous. What's sad is her job works with tips too and she said maybe it will make up for the people that don't tip them well and it's okay I get paid again in two weeks. We really like your location but unfortunately this incident will keep us from coming here and I hope you speak to "Lee" and make sure he doesn't do that to any others. read more

One star because I can't post a zero. I want to start off by saying the technicians are absolutely wonderful. However, I made a phone call a couple days before to confirm that my friend, daughter and I would be able to have mani/pedis at the same time. I asked multiple times and they confirmed. (This has happened in the past where we were told we'd get them done together and It didn't happen but I figured I'd give them another chance). We arrived and were greeted with an unwelcoming "pick a color" from a distance. The pedi station was set up for the three of us. My daughter and friends pedicures began and after 20-30 minutes mine still had not begun. When you have a day off from work and choose to spend your hard earned money on a treat for yourself it would be nice to receive the services we ask for. Maybe I went on a bad day? Though I made an appointment months in advance for my wedding nails & toes, I had to wait 30 minutes to begin. The man in the front is very nice, though the rest of his staff is rude. The pedicure was relaxing. It was fun to watch the little dog run around. I did walk in with a coffee, but was never offered a drink. Also the whole thing was a bit painful. It is also upsetting when the color you choose is an UPCHARGE. Along with all the other upcharges. The nail experience was even worse. I showed them a picture of the style I wanted from Pinterest and was stunned to see my nail tech fight with the manager about if she was going to do it or not. And loudly, in a language I could not understand. Very uncomfortable for me. I did not receive a manicure, or any cuticle work, before she started putting the acrylic nails on. But fear not, they buzzed my real nails PAINFULLY down. Ugh. Then the gel-dust she spilled all over my fingers, but assured me that it would be cleaned up at the end. I asked why she didn't fix my cuticles, and she said that that also comes at the end. She did do some clean up at the end, but it was very little and rushed. I was UPCHARGED for filing an almond shape. I was UPCHARGED for the nail polish color I chose. I was UPCHARGED for the nail gems and application of those gems. I was UPCHARGED for the gel acrylic nails. I was UPCHARGED for the toe nail color. I was UPCHARGED for the toe nail french paint. Overall, I was very dissapointed. Not only with the final look of my nails, but the attitude I got from my technicians. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and ended up painting over the nails for my honeymoon. I have been to this salon only twice. The first time, everything was fine. A nail technician (Matt) did my nails and everything was great. For this visit, I had all my nails soaked off, got a no-chip manicure, and nail art. The work took about 2 hours to complete and the cost was $47. Everyone was really nice, ESPECIALLY the owner, and I couldn't wait to come back. On to the second time. My sister and I made an appointment to come in for no chip manicures and I needed an acrylic overlay and an eyebrow wax. When I called, I spoke to the owner. I recognized her voice immediately. A day later, we decided to add pedicures to the appointment. So I called back and added pedis to the appointment. The woman asked if I was changing the appointment. I said no, I need to "keep our original appt and ADD pedis. Do you have time to do everything?" The woman said yes and that she "added" the pedis. When we arrived, the owner greeted us. Gone was her chatty/warm demeanor. She didn't even say hello or welcome...she just looked annoyed and asked what my name was. I told her. She looked in the computer and said "so you're here for pedis?" I said no, not just pedis but I need an acrylic overlay, etc. etc. She says "I only have you down for pedis". I said no that's not accurate and explained the situation. She kept looking at her computer and then said, well I'll see if I can squeeze you in. At this point I'm thinking...so now I have to be squeezed in for an appointment that I made nearly a week prior due to your error. She was very annoyed and walked away from the desk rather abruptly after pointing us in the direction of the polish. I picked my color and then followed a woman to the pedi station. My pedicure was rough and careless. The woman behaved as though she was servicing a rag doll. The polish I selected was apparently something specialized and increased the cost of the pedi $7. The polish job was very sloppy and rushed. I had to ask for an additional coat of polish because I could still see through the polish, surely the pricey, specialized polish shouldn't be thin and transparent. She told me the polish would be too thick and I said that's fine, I don't want to see my toenail through the polish. She reluctantly added the coat. My feet were still not smooth. Next, we went to the mani station. I showed her a picture of nail art I wanted done. The woman commenced removing my no-chip manicure. She put the acetone soaked paper towels on my nails and foil on my right hand. Then the left. As soon as she was done with the left hand, she began to remove the foil and paper on the right and used a tool to forcefully pull the polish off my nails. Again, handling me like a rag doll or mannequin with no regard to my jumping and flinching. Then when she couldn't get the polish off that way, she got the drill tool and began drilling off the polish. That hurt like the dickens. It BURNED. At this point, I say to her, listen...you have to be more gentle. Please. That really hurts. The owner is standing behind her and turns around. I say, I'm sorry but my nails are thin and still recovering from having the acrylic removed so it really hurts. I'm APOLOGIZING. The owner never says ANYTHING to me but says something in another language to the woman who continues to manhandle me, NO mani, and I have to tell her repeatedly to lighten up. Then she pulls out the acrylic and tells me that I should try the gel to help my nails. I know what she's saying is garbage and she's trying to upsell me, but I wanted to try the gel...so I ask how much more is the gel. She says its $12 more. Ok, now I'm $19 above where I started. That's fine. She used her nail to make sure that my skin isn't adhered to the gel and it felt like she was using a razor blade. When she applied polish to my fingers I could feel burning through the GEL!!! We get to the end of the manicure which doesn't resemble the picture at all...and she proceeds to paint on one, two, THREE layers of topcoat. So she goes and totals me up. They charged me a la carte for everything. $37-Vinylux pedicure $35-gel full set (including manicure I didn't get) $25-nochip I told her that I didn't get a full set NOR a manicure. She deducts $5 and then adds it back on to account for the nail art. Ok, so now I've been charged twice for a manicure (no chip and the gel application) for one set of hands. I was FURIOUS. I didn't even want to get my brows done but I wouldn't have any time to do it otherwise. So I did. I was so emotional that I didn't even realize that I really don't like my brows and I was really nice to the lady who did them and even tipped her because she was really working hard and she was super sweet. Get this...when I went to the back to tip the lady who did my brows...the man handler watched me looking for her tip and then followed me to the front and watched my receipts to see if I added it. Grand total...$109. Get your tip from there! NEVER going back! read more

Excellent pedicure! Will be back!! Called at 10:30 am on a Saturday and asked for 3 pedicures at 1pm that day. Person on the phone was polite and accommodating. Appointments that day were not a problem. Arrived on time and was seen for appt within 10 min, and it was a little busy at that time, so I was impressed they sat all three of us on time. I don't know why but I expected a delay. I would have given 5 stars but one of the three of us (me) had to wait 20 min for a nail tech. Not horrible because I was in a massage chair with my feet in the water, but still a little annoying. The other two in my party each had their own nail tech immediately though. The place is CLEAN (I saw a worker hand scrubbing the foot tub really well, and for a long time. The whole facility is very clean too) and decorated very nicely. Relaxing atmosphere. Very comfortable chairs. Basic pedicure was $30 and well worth it. They massage your feet and legs well. Over all very happy to have found an affordable pedicure that looks (and feels) amazing.
