Also, since I don't do this regularly AND it's my first time here, I wasn't certain of their way of doing things. I checked in at the front desk. I had booked a basic mani and basic pedi online but was upsold a gel manicure at the desk for $15 more (and am kinda glad I got it because I was able to do anything I wanted immediately instead of waiting for my nails to dry). The woman absentmindedly pointed me to a table of nail polish swatches where I could look at color choices. My nail technician (I think his name tag said "Ryan") got me and led me to a pedicure chair. He at first prepped for me to have a gel pedicure but I clarified that the gel was only for my fingernails. He then said I had to pick a different color for both my nails and toes -- i wanted to same color for both. He returned with new polish colors but I said that the color wasn't correct. He ARGUED that the colors he had were right and that I should trust him that it would be okay. Well, IT WASN'T. I wanted a soft coral, he applied a white-pink. It was to match my dress for a wedding. It didn't, obviously. Argh. I will never return.

Since they're appointment only, I made one for 11/29 and was able to get the first slot of the day. Kathy warmly greeted me and did my pedicure first. I saw the pricing for the services and asked what the difference was between the regular and deluxe pedicure and she said it came with a wax treatment and something else. For a $5.00 difference, I decided to get it. She went through the normal steps of removing the polish and so forth. I really appreciated her checking throughout the service to ensure my needs were met both with the shape and length of the nail, as well as how it looked. At first I didn't see the value of the deluxe until she put my feet in the wax bags and had it soak for a few mins. Once removed, my feet were so Incredibly soft! I figured ok, so the pedicure was great, let's see how well she does nails and that's where she really shined. When she started my nails, I noticed she was working a bit faster than she did on my feet. At that point, I assumed she had another appt (which she did), I just wasn't sure when. I was amazed that even while working a bit faster, she still cared about the accuracy and look of my nails. I'm used to being rushed and the nails not looking to my liking, but she was the opposite. Not only did she nail the design, but everything else was perfect. Best of all, she told me the prices up front so I knew everything she was charging for and there were no surprises afterwards. Kathy was polite, thorough, and did great work. Considering I paid less here for a fill, pedicure, and tip than I did at the other place with just a full set and tip, it's a no brainer who's getting my business in the future. I can't wait to come back!

I'm not a high-maintenance person and have always enjoyed my visits there for basic manicures and pedicures. Today, I went in for a simple gel polish removal. While I was quietly chatting with the nail technician about our kids and everyday life, the male manager (I believe his name is Bebe) suddenly started yelling at me. Completely out of nowhere, he told me to get out. I had noticed the atmosphere had become more hostile recently, but I never expected to be treated this way. I was shocked, embarrassed, and left in tears. I didn't fully understand everything that was being said, but I understood enough to know that it was completely inappropriate and upsetting. I left with my nails unfinished because I wasn't willing to stay while he continued yelling at both me and the technician. In all my years as a customer, I have never been treated so disrespectfully. What should have been a simple appointment turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

So here's the skinny: come in and check in on the tablet. The chairs to wait in are to the right where all the polish colors are all over the table (I thought that was a party or something). They'll come get you when it's your appointment. The bathroom is in the back corner by the exit sign. I've avoided these types of places because it's hard to tell if the employees are treated and paid well. But this one is run like a well oiled machine. I got tired of my one-woman tech being slow and I ran out of things to talk to her about after all these years. It was like too much work. Here you can just sit in silence and they are done in a timely manner. I usually bring my own polish but I just picked one from their table. It's a little confusing what's what on the table but do your best lol. At the end,the tech gives you a ticket. I didn't know what to do with it or how to tip. There is a nail drying counter/fan but they don't tell you to go there so I didn't know. Next to it are foam sandals. I think you pay on the way out and tip there too. I'll be back with better expectations and feeling less intimidated. I'm glad they take appointments and foot callous removal is with a machine (that is new to me!)
