I was walking around the Inner Harbor to do some shopping but I couldn't find what I was looking for so I walked up Light Street. I was pretty hungry and saw Tiny Brick Oven Pizza. I have been wanting to try the pizza for over a year and finally I did. I walked in and the owner Will was super friendly and asked me my name. He asked me what I liked and I said cheese. I do like pepperoni and sausage but sometimes they are salty for me. Will suggested I get two slices of cheese and a drink and I said that sounds good. He also let me try the gelato and the caramel gelato was really good. I didn't get gelato this time but I will in my next visit. The pizza was crispy and thin and not salty. How I like my NY style pizza. I will definitely be back cause I found the best pizza in Maryland and its been a long time since I have had a great pizza.

    Half japs and pep.

I met the owner another Will whose energy was out this world. That just gave me a preview to who great the food would be and let me tell you it's amazing! If you're in the Federal Hill area make sure to stop by and grab a slice! Also, ask for the caramel cookies and cream ice cream. You won't be disappointed!!!

TLDR: Great pizza, awesome owner, and a real neighborhood asset. After living in Federal Hill for six years, I've seen plenty of pizza spots come and go, but TinyBrickOven is definitely a step above the rest. Not just because of the pizza, but because of how the owner runs his business and cares about the community. We stopped in before a nearby Yelp Elite event to grab a quick pregame slice and went for their 2-slice special ie. two slices and a Jones fountain soda for $8. Following Dave Portnoy's advice, we got plain cheese to really test the quality. The slices didn't disappoint. Crispy bottom, soft top, and a perfect sauce/cheese ratio. The slice size was a little smaller than NYC-style slices, but for the price, no complaints. The staff was super friendly and even gave us free gelato samples while we waited. The owner is clearly passionate about what he does, and I love that he runs a "pay it forward" slice program so people can donate slices for those in need. Overall, this place is a true local favorite and well worth a visit if you're in the Fed Hill area. Great pizza, great people, great vibes.

One bite, everybody knows the rules! Such a great local spot if you're looking for No Frills pizza. Upon approaching the building, the owner was outside doing some cosmetic work and he immediately created us and welcomed us in. Then we walked in one of the staff also greeted us right away and let us know if we needed any help just to let her know. The menu overall is pretty simple and the prices are great. They also offer some dessert options and she even offered us some free samples of their gelato. And after the free samples, I would highly recommend that everyone grabs a cup. The pizza is so simple and a wave of nostalgia just came over as I but into it. While the pizza was on the thinner side, it still had a nice crunch and a chew at the same time. They also have Jones soda on tap, which is amazing because I really think their sodas are flavorful. The spot overall is pretty small so if you plan on sending they do have a couple tables and some bar areas but otherwise you would probably have to take it to go . If you're not familiar with the area, it is street parking and a lot of the places in Federal Hill are permit only so just make sure that you read the science carefully before parking.

What an awesome experience & an excellent pizza! As an Italian-Bostonian who grew up on delicious pizza, this is right up there with the best! If you're looking for a fine dining experience, then this place isn't your cup of tea but if you want an authentic & tasty pizza pie, then this place delivers! Will, the owner & manager is also the nicest guy & worthy of your purchase!

    Currently only pizza is available.

Please read the whole review as there is some important information!!! I arrived on a Tuesday morning at 1115 after the infamous Dave Portnoy visit. I was the second person to walk into the door that morning and had the opportunity to speak at length with Will before it got crazy. I have to mention that Will is everything that he was during the Dave Portnoy visit. He is truly the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is down to earth, veteran and all around great guy !! The place is extremely small, 12 seats in total. At the time of review I would say you're not going to be able to sit down and eat as it's just that busy. The pizza..... If you like New York style pizza then it doesn't get any better. It's thin, great sauce and Will uses a high quality pepperoni!!! Due to the high demand patrons were limited to one 16"in pizza per person/or group of two. Groups of four or more could get two pizzas. Will also has an amazing pay it forward system going on. Buy a slice for a person in need!!!! It's sad that it took Dave Portnoy to visit in order to wake us up to this amazing place. I'm glad he did, Will and Tiny Brick Oven are both amazing.

Even though the temperature was in the low teens with a windchill around zero, GKs all got ice creams. They only issue any of them had was that the gargantuan sizes were still not big enough; taste was that good. Me, I picked up a sfogliatella riccia to enjoy as a post-theater late-night snack. We also picked up a bunch of Italian cookies to take home. We had to hide them so the GK vultures couldn't get to them early. Vacarro's had a great selection even at 6PM. The bakery aroma was fantastic, seating was plentiful, prices were reasonable, and parking (street and for-pay lot) close by. It's a must-stop destination whenever you make it to Little Italy. Arrived in the afternoon during a busy weekend and decided to take out for desserts. My first visit and was underwhelmed by the service received. Rushed and transactional. Packaging was very sloppy and my napoleons were shoved to the side, making the clear clamshells very messy when I arrived home. If only the desserts were saving grace, but was left disappointed as well. As others have mentioned, the pastries do not taste fresh. The ricotta cream in the original cannoli tasted warm and gritty, the shell was stale. I noticed these were sitting out. The puff pastry in the Napoleons were soggy. The cream puffs shell was stale and chocolate topping was super sweet, unfortunately these were far from heavenly. Maybe another day, Vaccaro.

As for the ice cream, they were one of the best homemade ice creams I have had. I got the strawberry cheesecake (hard ice cream) and vanilla malt (soft serve). The strawberry cheesecake was one of the best I've tried. The vanilla malt was a bit too sweet but taste great overall. Upon entering the restaurant, the decor (art) on walls is gorgeous! I love the red velvet like material that is the backing of the seating along the entire wall. I especially loved the dimness of the restaurant and that "real" candies are lit, it gives it a very close-knit intimate type of vibe. I ordered the branzino, it was a nice size, and it was paired with mash potatoes and asparagus of which the fish was placed over top of the mash potatoes and asparagus. The branzino was fresh and the taste was scrumptious. The mussels were in a tomato like wine sauce and it was so flavorful and delectable! We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Christa, was at the top of her game - attentive and friendly. She started us off with home-made, warm bread, bread sticks, and a dish of seasoned olive oil. We both enjoyed a glass of Pinot Grigio that was crisp and very refreshing. We decided on Calamari Fritti as one of our appetizers, which was a great selection of fried calamari and mixed veggies lightly battered and fried to perfection and served with ranch and marinara sauce. We could not finish our appetizer, so we asked to have the remainder boxed to take home for lunch the next day. For our main course, we both chose the Fettuccine Con Short Rib Ragu. This was a beautifully presented dish of homemade fettuccine with a generous portion of short-rib ragu topped with burrata cheese. We have to say we have never experienced such a combination of flavors. The dish was amazing and more than filling. The shop seems cute and there seems like there would be more things available when the owner is in. They have lunch boxes that look good. They also have takoyaki on the menu but the machine is currently down. One thing that I didn't like is that the item was different from the menu description. I was expecting mango snow and mango ice cream or sorbet. It's not the end of the world but I picked this one in particular because it was supposed to be mango snow. While the bingsoo is large enough to share, I also feel it is priced a bit high for what it is. Might be because there aren't many other laces like this in the area but bingsoo is usually bigger or less pricey. Overall, a decent stop for dessert if you want something a little different.
