We came out to see a friends band , we purchased the VIP seating , it was a nice area to get away from the general bar crowd while the band was playing , sound wasn't that good, I am not sure if they were having issues or if it always is this way , but you couldn't hear very well the singer from the Vip section . But you are up close and personal for sure !! They don't have the bbq menu anymore it's now a taco lady , and the tacos were good ! They had a assortment of items on the menu , wasn't pricey and portions were good size . Drinks were also reasonable and they seemed to have a variety of alcohol options The ceiling tiles are painted different themes and sayings , interesting again !! Parking is next to none ! You can park on the street but there isn't a ton of space . I literally didn't even see a parking lot . Overall it was a interesting experience and I would come out again if there was a band or event there I was interested in !! I mainly took a few videos which I can't seem to post here but the one pic I took is of the drummers set !

I have seen multiple Local H shows in the past, but never at a venue this small. In addition, I had been wanting to see Letters From The Dead for a long time and finally had the chance! The intimate experience was truly amazing from the beginning all the way to the end of the show. This place is small and they bring in great music which makes it an awesome experience! Attending a show at the Looney Bin should be on everyone's bucket list! I'll be back next week to see Letters From The Dead perform again opening for J.R. Richards (original singer of Dishwalla)! Great live music, easy parking, cold beer, and great people! What more do you need?

What it lacks in modernity it more than makes up for in character, reasonably priced drinks, and super nice Frankfort people. I will say- don't freak about the decor- the bathrooms are pretty new. That's about it though- take a walk to the back and enjoy great-grandma's dining room set. Outside patio is lovely, the location in downtown Frankfort cannot be beat. It's not the fanciest joint in town, but I've always felt welcome, always had my beer cold, and always had a smile and nod from every bartender. This place is a classic. Bobby's Tap has a simple but still pretty great variety of beers and liquors to choose from. For sure there won't be anything exotic so it's not fancy and overpriced. The staff and the regular customers seem okay and respectful. Basic looking bar. It's a little free standing building between a crummy looking motel and a Mexican supermarket. That sounds like a sketchy area, but the bar is clean, and there was nothing crazy going on in there. Basic beers to choose from. They have most in bottles and cans, of course with a few more on tap. It's about $5 to get Jameson. Pretty good prices. Also free popcorn, along with whatever they bring in. The bar only has an inside, so there isn't a patio. For sure it's a better bar than it looks. It's located in a pretty boring area on Plainfield Road. They only have free popcorn for food but you can bring in stuff.
