Food is amazing service is great good atmosphere you get a lot of food the owner is there treating everyone like family

All food that I have had here is great. We go there about once a month and I have never had a company.

Finally ate here after living down the street for 6 years! This is your typical dive bar - it is huge inside with some arcade games, music, and pool tables. They also hold some events and I saw a table that said they had a Bloody Mary bar, but it wasn't going on the day we went. We ordered a meatball sub, bone-in wings, boneless wings, and fries/onion rings to try. We told the server to bring the food out as it was ready. We waited a long while for our first item to come out and it was the bone-in wings surprisingly, then the boneless wings, and finally the meatball sub. The wings were great and I enjoyed the onion rings as well! The meatball sub was cold and did not taste the best. If I come again, I would just come for the wings and a few drinks. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The bartender and guests at the bar were laughing and having a good time. If you're from out of town, it's also worth mentioning the good that the owner does... outside of having this restaurant. He holds food pantries for the locals no questions asked. When we were going through government shutdown last year, he also partnered with Jewel Osco to give away Turkey dinner kits so family's could have a Thanksgiving. If all else, that's one heck of a reason to give your business here. read more

Stopped in for lunch this week. It was our first time here. My wife ordered the shrimp poor boy with sweet potato fries and I tried the mushroom swiss burger with waffle fries. Both were delicious! Poor boy was tasty and plenty of food. The burger was cooked perfectly and was very juicy.I finished the burger but can't imagine what a double would be like. We plan on returning to try more of the menu. Was moved by the tribute to the Viet Nam War fallen. Good to see this business remembers. read more

Fish Fry Friday- love it! Food is great. Sometimes takes a little bit for service because they are busy but the waitresses work their tails off to take care of us and make sure we had drinks and were taken care of. read more

We stopped into Top Fuel today to check out their Daytona 500 special -- the Hillbilly Surf & Turf. It's a fun combo of a Crawfish Boil served alongside Meatloaf, and it definitely caught our attention. We've been here before for their Friday Fish Fry (which is excellent), so we were looking forward to trying something different. I ordered the Mudbugs (crawfish) only, while my wife ordered the combo with Mudbugs and Meatloaf. The underlying motivation? She doesn't eat Mudbugs -- so I knew I'd be getting a bonus portion. The Mudbugs were cooked from live crawfish and seasoned with a classic Cajun blend. They varied in size but were served in generous one-pound portions. The flavor was fresh, well-seasoned, and exactly what you'd hope for in a good boil. Now, the real surprise was the Meatloaf. My wife loves Meatloaf but is extremely picky about it. I can honestly say she loved this one. After trying a bite myself, I agreed completely. It had a rich, beefy flavor, was moist throughout, and the ends had that perfect crunchy outer crust -- which is always the best part. We also ordered the Jalapeño Poppers. They had a nice crunchy exterior, and the pepper and cream cheese filling was creamy without being overcooked -- a solid appetizer choice. Top Fuel has that fun, laid-back dive bar atmosphere with lots of friendly people just enjoying themselves. It's comfortable, welcoming, and easy to settle in for a while. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

Top Fuel Saloon is right off I55 exit. We entered the place and found a seat. Server took our order and was super friendly. I had a sandwich and my guest had the patty melt. Our meal was delicious and very cost effective. My tip is if you are looking for a different dining experience give this place a try. read more

Here's the deal 90% of the time service food and ambiance is amazing. Tonight was the other 10%. I now now when I walk in and I see the person from tonight bartending again. I have two options. Leave and go somewhere else or get a table. Because this person is absolutely terrible at their job. I wonder why they are still employed because they are never good. Hold your establishment to a higher standard Freak instead of worrying about having a warm body behind the bar. read more

The rooms are mediocre. One had no air conditioning. One had some stuff on the walls. Although we had a reservation waiting in advance, they were understaffed in the restaurant. Just ok read more

Food, service, ambiance are all impeccable. The staff is friendly and everyone that sees you greets you in this small town bar. Their 'brand ambassadors' are knowledgeable about the extensive menu, and my fiancé loves their fancy tacos. The slots are neatly hidden in a corner and aren't very loud - they don't interrupt the setting at all. Beautiful aspect. They even have stylish, up-to-date Top Fuel Saloon merch for affordable prices. Whether you have $1 or $50, you better believe you're getting your money's worth. I purchased some gear from them in fall of '24, several years into my father helping Freak and the other volunteers with Toys for Tots donations. I respect their heavy presence in the community, with help to fundraisers, their pantry days, and Freak's very own long time running radio show. (Warning: Make sure you are sure of your giftee's size or ask if you can try it on because they don't resell merchandise that has left their possession, presumably as a safety measure. Some of their merch is distressed so I love that they make sure their clothes are presented organically to the buyer. Neat.) Having a profession in the industry, I appreciate that even from afar, the entirety of the establishment meets or exceeds all state standards and health codes (stuff like that sticks out to a former server even if I haven't worked there). Overall, would highly recommend. Easily 10/10 *'s. read more

Basically it's like a biker bar but actually isn't that bad of a place for somewhere in Braidwood. In addition, they love metal. Top Fuel Saloon is conveniently located off the interstate on a quiet side street. Lots of good drink prices and lots of hard time find ones. You can get a few things that are almost impossible to find anywhere else, and there's some decent food such as pretzels. A good time to come is on Wednesdays, because it's cheap. It's Whiskey Wednesdays, meaning all whiskey is $4 for a shot. That's all whiskeys. Even the higher quality ones. Why not get some of the expensive stuff? Beers are also cheap. They have tons of old favorites, and a few that are hard to find. It's hard to get a Blatz anywhere. You can get it here though. It's $2.50 for a can of the classic beers. The food isn't anything special, but it's better than expected. It's about $6 for an appetizer. They have the Pretzel Sticks, which are probably the healthiest thing on the food menu. Good place for cheap booze. It not only has drinks and food, but there's also live music. The locals may not always be nice, but here it's not that bad for this kind of town. read more

Great food in a cool biker bar. We were greeted with smiles on our first visit ever. Saw pics on Facebook and brought the fam on a chilly Sunday. The main bar was semi busy but the restaurant section was empty. The waitress ( Kristen) was awesome...I asked about some of the food and her suggestions were great. The Blackhawk nachos were tasty. The chicken sammiches are awesome. The Diablo burger was apparently great for my Dad who loves hot and spicy food. Steak dinner was cooked perfectly. And, the pork tenderloin sammiches are not only huge but taste fresh and flavorful. The only complaint was that it was freezing in the restaurant ( and I am never cold ). We highly recommend food and service. read more

Always a friendly atmosphere! The food there is excellent and the beer is cold! What more could you ask for???

Food took too long to prepare. I had a tenderloin which was about 1/2 the size pictured. It was crunchy/chewy seemed old & overcooked. I asked for lettuce, pickle & tomato & received that + mayonnaise () which made it soggy except for the rim which was hard. Not worth my time. Seems like more of a conversation catch up place than a restaurant. Won't be going back. read more

Freak......nice place. Parking no issue, big lot. Outside appearance gives it a saloon feeling, but by all means stop in for the food. Saturday afternoon. Group of 4. All ordered sandwiches. Mine, a steak sandwich. One word... Awesome. Sorry no pics this visit, however I will return. My only subtraction from this visit, the sides, fries and Mac and cheese served cold. Not simply cool, but cold. Server was absent when meal was delivered so we ate and left the much wanted sides alone. Great beverage selection. Soda is Pepsi. Beers of all likings. So surprised that such a decent place is just off the exit of I-55 and Reed Road. read more

The bartenders here are beyond rude!! I believe her name is Laurie Stadler Tribe. We were waiting patiently for over an hour for our food! We ordered a chicken sandwich and one burger. When we decided we couldn't wait any longer for the food and wanted to cancel the order. We mentioned twice that we may needed to leave soon. They were preparing for a funeral event and only had one line cook. The bartender become crazy rude and yelled at my whole group! Told us to "Get the fuck out of her bar" uhm, hello, Freak owns the bar last time I checked? We placed the over before 3pm and it's now 4pm. Freak, the bar owner, was even present and didn't correct his horrible bar tender! This will be the last time we ever come here. read more

I've been hearing the commercials on 100.7 for a long time and the food always sounded amazing. I was not disappointed. I had the special, which was shark. My daughter had steak tacos, son had chicken tenders, and the wife had a beef sandwich. We all enjoyed our food very much. The place is a bar, so I don't think I'd take my kids there in the evening but 5pm on a weekend was just fine. read more

Freak, BUDDY for real! I was going to leave a 3/4star but Restaurant and bar people were great waited a "while" for my food. But it's Friday and Was back in here to eat and have a beer, watch the 2 great volunteer ladies (little blonde and tall curly haired one) from the pantry I didn't see them, I asked a tall older fella where they were, he said "those bitches are gone nothing but drama." A older woman who squeezed herself into junior high school clothes said she's the boss. No one looked happy, there was hardly any food. You need these ladies to come back, get rid of the disrespectful old man he will catch you a lawsuit, and the "boss", was just disrespectful to other volunteers. No one was smiling and she was rude. Bartenders were nice they miss the 2 nice ladies I think their names started with a C or K (not Karen either) FREAK you are doing a great thing for people in need but the people you have running it now are bringing your cause down, with their disgusting attitude and disrespect for others in need. read more
