The tuna tapa he said it was a Peruvian speciality as a gift and vino!

This place was such a great find! If you want a place to chill or chat with some affordable wine and good eat this is it. I didn't even order food but my server kept giving me little bites to try and man was it fresh and yummy. I had a tuna and salmon bite and if I was hungrier I would've definitely ordered more but I had just eaten before unfortunately. So happy to find this place on my Madrid escapades. He also let me charge my phone here. A constant struggle for me here as I lost my portable charger lol. Very relaxing and nice place would recommend.

Strolled into this cute spot because I was in the area being a tourist... it did not disappoint! I had the carne empanada (so juicy and the perfect amount of crunch) and I also had a Tosta de pollo which i thiught was good but the empanada was the star of my dinner lol. I forgot the name of the beer i had but I believe it was the Mahou (the name on the cup). The employees were very attentive, I had a great time here.

Came here for dinner and got the caprese empanada, meat empanada, and squid croquette. The caprese empanada was surprisingly delicious! The meat one was solid. The squid croquettes were interesting, but not the tastiest. The inside of the croquettes was black, which made it a little sketchy-looking, but it was cool they had small, chewy pieces of squid inside.

The server was awesome, very funny and kind. The food was so filling for such a good price. My friends got a pitcher for 15€ and empanadas for 5€. Small but cute!

Great food! Great atmosphere! Would definitely like to come back and try other options!

Had a great lunch here! Iberian ham toasted open face sandwich, tuna salad, Margarita pizza and Serrano ham pizza were all fantastic. Service was great, too - everyone working here was super friendly. Also, they have ice! Ha.

Napolitana pizza and spinach and mushroom quiche.

The food and service were both very quick. We got drinks within 5 minutes and food within about 15. My sister, Dad, and I all shared the Napolitana pizza which was SO good! Normally, the food gets a little boring and repetitive but here was the opposite! Yummy flavors and awesome ambiance. We also ordered the spinach and mushroom quiche. I LOVE quiches so I think my view on the quiche has lots of experience behind it. The crust was crunchy and flaky, the flavor was very delicious. I would recommend this spot to anyone who wants to avoid the traditional saltiness of the food found in Spain! Make sure to come and give this place a try!

Very nice little spot. A small selection of wine, but what we had was very tasty. The only moscato on the menu was light and refreshing. The Zinio rioja was very nicely paired with the cheese and meat plate. We ordered an off menu meat and cheese plate which was 18 euros. I recommend asking if they have this available when you visit. The waiter was very friendly. The bill was correct. It's tiny here. I understand they opened a larger sister store close by.

Great super small tapas spot! It felt a strong family vibe while dining, all the locals know the owners and kept coming in and saying hello to them. It was like a rotating door. The toast was out of this world! I wasn't going to get it but I saw a table next to us order and I was curious. It was worth it and affordable. Heavy on the Brie, light balsamic and fresh arugula. The toast was thick and toasted perfect. I initially came here for the empanadas I ordered a chicken and a beef one. They were baked and had a decent portion of filling but my taste buds gravitated towards the toast. The wine was decent and affordable, the tables are very small so get ready to be on top of people. We call it the snuggle factor when your eating. I would recommend this location for a tapa experience. Just get ready to be in tight quarters and you will have to speak loudly. All around I had a great experience and would recommend you to visit.

This place is great., excellent empanadas; I did not try their pizzas which they have quite a few options. This place feels like a modern fusion of southamerican and italian fare. Cozy and friendly, I recommend it as an excellent option for off the beaten path!

We went to Tinto y tapas but it was full so we were directed to their second branch just around the corner. That place was big and had room downstairs. We came for early dinner so it wasn't too crowded. This doesn't have typical tapas options but has more tostadas and pizza options. We ordered vegetarian empanadas and pizza. Empanadas were outstanding and pizza was great! It was huge and enough to share. Sangria and tinto de verano was good. A plate of olives were complimentary and i loved them. Overall great place for quick tapas and wine.

The curry chicken tapa was super good! The pizza was one of the best in town. A must-try hole in the wall off of a small street.

Dark, intimate, and open late. Start with complimentary olives and choose from a great wine list. Service is very friendly and helpful, the menu is not too large offering tapas style salads, empanadas, toasts, pizzas, and raciones - which are larger plates to share. Empanadas are different than the usual design, elevated, the cheese and onion variety was one of the most delicious and complex bites with a gorgeous presentation. Ham is a must in Spain, and the jamon iberico toast looked as beautiful as it tasted. Located closed to the Museo Renia Sofia in the golden triangle of art .

Exterior of bar with neighbourhood feel. Close to Prado/Retiro!

I truly have to highlight Pepe, Franco, and Grace for taking the time to speak to us and get to know us. The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered the seafood paella, jamon iberico, garlic shrimp, and sangria. The paella was filled with a ton of flavor which was DELICIOUS. Everything was fantastic, but the Sangria was spectacular, (probably one of the best sangrias I've ever had). At the end of our meal, Pepe brought us two liquor de Limon shots, which made our whole night!! Definitely recommend this place in the La Latina neighborhood. You won't regret it!

It has that classic bustling tapas bar energy where everyone is close enough to feel like part of one big conversation. The food was the highlight. The clams were flavorful and fresh, the octopus was cooked beautifully and the paella was delicious. It is a great place to stop in for a drink and a quick bite, especially if you want something authentic and lively. When we visited, it was packed to the point where you were shoulder to shoulder with other guests and close enough to easily hear the party next to you. It adds to the charm if you enjoy that classic crowded European dining atmosphere, but it is something to keep in mind if you prefer more space.

Service was in Spanish or English, and they were patient with my poor Spanglish butchery. Everyone was friendly. Service was paced to be leisurely but it was not slow. Inside was cool on a hot day and decor was upscale. I wouldn't roll in wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt but there was outside seating in the plaza outside. Not that we even considered it that day, evening would have been a different story. The area has a lot to see if you want to wonder around and then swing in or take your time after. This will definitely be a regular stop when we are in Madrid. I absolutely adore this restaurant! I have visited it twice, and definitely next time I go to…read moreMadrid, I will visit it again. The restaurant is located in the heart of Madrid on a very cute street, and it is easy to find and walk there if you stay in the city center. The place is not very big - both times I went there for lunch, there were no tables available, so I had to sit at the bar; once I even had to wait about 7 minutes until one bar spot became free. The restaurant's design is simple, but pretty and lovely. Overall, the restaurant is in very good condition and was perfectly clean both times I visited. The only small downside is that the place is quite noisy, but it did not bother me. One of the best things about this place is the people who work there - both a guy and a lady at the bar were extremely nice and friendly to me; plus, both spoke very good English. They gave me recommendations on what to try, and I followed their advice. The restaurant's menu is not big, but it has all the most popular traditional Spanish dishes. Both times I ordered Rabo de Toro (a traditional Spanish stew), Fardos (squid rolls with bacon and squid ink mousse); and once I also tried croquetas de jamón (ham croquettes). The croquettes were tasty - I loved their flavor and soft texture. One portion includes 6 pieces, and they are quite big and filling. It was my first time trying Fardos (I ordered a 1/3 portion), and it was a great experience - the dish turned very delicious after the bartender mixed it for me. The squid was cooked very nicely, and combined with the fresh bacon and ink mousse, it tasted fantastic. Rabo de Toro (I ordered a 1/2 portion) was also my first time trying this dish, and I loved it - the stew was perfectly cooked, very soft and moist, with rich flavors, and it melted in my mouth. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of drinks, especially wines. I do not drink alcohol, so I was recommended to try grape juice - Mosto, which was extremely flavorful and tasted like fresh pressed grape juice, even though it came from a glass bottle. I loved that drink! Price-wise, all items on the menu seemed reasonable. I paid €8 for 6 ham croquettes, €12 for a half portion of Rabo de Toro, €8 for a 1/3 portion of Fardos, and €3 for one glass of grape juice. It is possible to have a nice full lunch here for around €22, which is reasonable for a restaurant in the heart of Madrid. The place accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay, which is a big plus. If you visit this restaurant, I strongly recommend trying 1/3 or 2/3 portion of Fardos, a half portion of Rabo de Toro, and their grape juice Mosto - it's enough food to feel full and experience traditional Spanish flavors.

I ordered the Oxtail (Rabo de Toro) and wooooow... easily one of the most tender and delicate pieces of meat I've EVER had. They serve it boneless, but I'm pretty sure if they would have provided a bone, it would've fallen right off. The whole place gives cozy tavern vibes with a rustic interior that feels perfectly Madrid. NOTE: the portions are a bit heavier than most spots. I hate to waste food, especially when it's as immaculate as the Oxtail, but if you're a party of one, you got to do what you go to do.
