Initially I was pleased with the very expensive wrap I had done on my Maserati Lavante. However, not long after I noticed that the seal around the windshield was broken on both sides. This only became evident when I drove faster than 70 mph on the Express Road. I called Tint world and spoke to "John or Jonathan" who was very rude. I admit that I was irritated as I was driving at the time and the side seal was banging against the vehicle. I told him what happened he stated that was impossible as they don't remove this to put on the wrap. This cannot be accurate as the wrap folds under the seal! He continued to argue with me and told me I was stating they did poor work and that wasn't true, they never do poor work or make mistakes. I had stated, they had to know they broke the clips as this would've been evident. The car was pristine when I took it to them, and I simply wanted it fixed. I asked for a manager, but he refused and told me to bring the car by and continually interrupted me, telling me, I was the rude one! I was SO exasperated that I feared I wouldn't be able to control my temper. I spent over $4000 for this full body-wrap, and this is the customer service I expect. I took it to the dealership and ordered new seals. Why can't people simply be kind and provide outstanding service anymore? Customer service is more important to me that almost anything else, without it, whatever you've done pales in comparison. Learn from this and check your vehicle closely. This place has high quality products and cool custom car parts but the service was not that great. Let me elaborte on our experience. My Fiancé just bought a new car and wanted to deck it out. He wanted rims w/ locks, tinted windows all over including front and rear lights and red calipers. In total he spent about 3200.00 for everything and not in payments (A great chunk for any business). VISIT #1: To get started we came in to do the rims w/locks & red calipers well when we went to do the install and after everything was paid we were informed it would be extra for the locks and we would have to wait until the locks were ordered and shipped. Oh and the calipers well those were on back order so we'd have to do that at a later time too. Tints on windows well those came out great then we were told lights could not be tinted because it was too cold so we had to reschedule to have those done. We were fine with that so they did the rims that day and it took 4 hours and not to mention we were scheduled for 8am and the tech didnt show until after 9am. I advised we had to be somewhere at 12 and was told it should be no longet than 2-2.5 hrs. VISIT 2: No one called about a good time to come in to do the tints on the headlights so we called a little over a week and went in to get the those done. And still no calipers ( @ this point its been about 3 weeks still not in). And visit 2 they could not do the front headlights until the calipers were in-no explanation as to why. So only the rear brealights were done. VISIT 3: scheduled at 10am for front headlights and no mention about the calipers. So I decided to ask if they were in they checked and showed they were in --how long were they in?-- they never called when they came in and as of now he'd been waiting over 30 days for them. If I would have never asked we would hve left today with no calipers indtalled. Smh. The manager (he may be the owner) stayed away and never said anything when he saw us knowing our concern. **Will have update once we leave. All in all they are too laid back (lazy to be honest because this is a business) and everything in here is pretty pricey and people who are trying to cuustomize their car are pretty patient but the back and forth and not following up about shipments,& status updates says alot and is very inconvenient. But hey this was just our experience. We wont be back unfortunately. read more

Finally got around to getting windows tinted on my Tesla Model S. They quoted me a price for ceramic tint all around, I called and setup a time. 1 hour after start time, they called with vehicle complete. Legal tint level on front windows and a bit darker in back. Looks great and will help so much with the large rear hatch window. Only 1 very minor complaint, there were a handful of brown water spots on both rear fenders. There is an additional charge for shop supplies, which I would expect includes towels. Everything wiped clean in a couple minutes and still rank everything as 5 stars. Finally got around to having the windows tinted on my 2012 VW. (Nothing like being timely). So randomly, I found "Tint World" in Grapevine. That was my lucky day. The folks at the front desk (two gals) were super courteous. They told me about my pricing options, and went over the tinting selections and gave me an appointment for the next week. Wow, everything was going smoothly. So, I arrived at the appointed day and time to get this project started. . Well every thing went well, until one of the installers said there was an issue with one of my rear windows. Lo and behold, the window did not operate properly. It seems it may have jumped the track in the door. Did it stop the job. Not really, I asked them to tint the window and, I would get the window looked at. Several days later, I found a service center to look at the window. They couldn't find an issue. (What can I say?) What did occur however, the beautiful tint job was rubbing off the glass. So I went back to "Tint World" and listened to Mike tell me this occurrence WAS NOT COVERED by their warranty. I had to agree. Certainly wasn't their fault that a window was misbehaving. Solution. Mike said (thankfully), we will retint the window this time. However, since this is not covered by our guarantee, should it occur again, its on you. I believe anyone reading this review that was more than fair. "Tint World" stood behind their product and workmanship to a "T". I was treated more than fairly. Thank you Mike and your staff. You all went well beyond what a lot of service shops would do. I would not hesitate in a moment to recommend your products or services. I was slightly nervous after reading a few negative reviews, but you can't make everyone happy and there are always people who complain regardless of how well task is performed. I must say, after turning over my new truck to Tint World in Grapevine, I am COMPLETELY SATISFIED!!! This Family Owned organization took extreme care of my truck and the result is truly outstanding! I decided to go with the CeramicPro Lifetime nano coating, which takes a few days to properly apply. Personally, I detailed vehicles in the past and am very particular. I was going to do this myself, but you need a clean / temp controlled environment to properly apply several layers, so I decided to go with Tint World. I have now had the truck back for 2 weeks and went over it personally this last weekend - these guys were simply perfect. They did not hit the black plastic / rubber parts, but the paint is smooth as a baby's behind right up to each point and I can really tell every time I close the door - simply amazing! Then there is the tint. I told Ashley that my back windows came with deep tinted glass from the factory. She said, not that is just smoked glass - does nothing at all to keep out heat and UV. When I drove the truck there we walked out to examine and she was absolutely correct! Ashley also informed me of the advantages of tinting the entire front windshield. I didn't realize Tint World offers a tint that is 90% transparent, almost completely clear, but keeps out 80% of all heat and UV to protect my interior and my skin! Yes, after driving into the sun to work and home for years, I am getting sun/age spots on my hands. My hands seems to be in the sun most of the time. I am so happy I went with this front windshield tint! I can really feel the difference. Even in the sun, I can tell my hands are cooler and protected with this clear tint! Again, I was a little nervous after reading a few negative reviews, but I had zero bubbling, and after a few weeks that ceramic tint dried completely clear - they did an excellent job!!! Not a single issue whatsoever. I also had the film put on the front of my new truck which is very nice, again the job was perfect, the mask is perfect, you would know it was there - unless someone told you. Wish I would have done it upon pickup as I already had two small rock chips in the bumper. All protected now! Lastly, I have taken vehicles to dealerships in the past and was very upset that they left my vehicle idling for what must have been an hour or more. I know because my Average Miles Per Gallon went from 22 to 10. Not here!!! They never left my truck to idle and never drove it, not even a mile - I checked everything before and after. I was very disappointed in this place. When they pulled my car up, I went to check their work before I left. There was a huge (about 1/8th inch) gap from the tint to the doors edge (driver's side). Very noticeable and sloppy. The Passenger side tint was done correctly. I had the guy take a look, (he wasn't very friendly). He tries to convince me that it actually WAS done correctly, because a computer actually does the cutting and not a person. I showed him the other window and said that it was done correctly, and I asked him to fix it, which really seemed to irritate him, and he said he needed to talk to the owner first. So about 5 minutes later they take it back, fix it and another guy comes out hands me keys, and walks away (also not too friendly). In the end they did an ok job, but it really make me angry that they did a sloppy job and tried to pass it off and hope I didn't notice. Then get rude and defensive when I point it out and request that be fixed. There are plenty of other tint places in DFW. I would not recommend going to this place. In addition to the above mentioned experience, they are also kind of expensive. Tinting 2 front windows is $100. Seems a little high to me, but I figured this is what they do, it will be done well. I cannot, nor would not recommend this business! They attempted to tint the windows on my PT Cruiser. But first they had to remove the old window film and in doing so, they left a lot of the old adhesive on all the windows which then caused bubbles in their new tint that they installed. They also had a small place where they did not remove all the old film and instead tinted over it causing a defect. I attempted to get them to repair their mistakes, but Owner-Rodney was only going to replace the tint on (2) small quarter windows, but not fix anything else. When I left his shop I told him I was going to another shop for an opinion of their work. I eventually had my windows re-tinted by another shop that did a very high quality job. But it also cost me an additional $159 for this new shop to remove the film installed by Tint World #016, which I feel they still owe me for. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Ft. Worth. I eventually received a refund of what I had paid when I contested the charge with the credit card that I had used. Tint World #016 should have corrected their mistakes without any hassles, that would have been good customer service! read more
