Liar! Do not waste your time with liar! Fking ridiculous experience ever！ on Wednesday, We dropped our model Y for window tint, and they promised that we can have our car back on Friday. I have to work on weekends, told them we can pick up car anytime but weekends. They said no worries that the car probably got done early Friday, no later than 6pm. OK perfect. Since we are the repeat customers, we trust them. We drove all the way from Arlington just for supporting his business, also paid full payments at beginning tips 15% on the top. On Friday @ 4:50p. We got his ADVISED message that the windshield is too dark to drive at night time, they will release us on Saturday 10:30. Sir! I told you I need my car on Friday! I gotta go work on Saturday. You couldn't give customers whenever the time you would like to release. There was also funny thing happened. Once they sent out us this message. This mother fxxker never picked up the phone. We were in the front of his shop for two hours. we can heard someone's walking inside of shop, but they didn't open gate for us. we even called police helped us. This lair still ignored our call and message. FUNNY AS FFFFFFUCK! On Saturday morning, we received a message that they stated our car is ready to pick up. Alright. My husband and my daddy drove another one hour to Roanoke. Let me tell you the other funny thing. Our old window tint was still on the window. Which means this lair didn't touch my car. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with Scott Solar. I didn't want "just anyone" adding tint and PPF to my days old Tesla. The pros: scheduling wasn't too bad and they were reasonably priced for the service rendered. I appreciated that the person handling emails was patient and informative, answering all the questions I had about their different offerings. I love that they've handled many, many Teslas so I was assured they knew what they were doing. I ended up getting tint on all windows and the windshield. I also opted for a full frontal PPF after discussing my options with them since the 1 I originally wanted would've stopped midway up the frunk, which I didn't want and was unaware of. The cons: there were some flaws in the workmanship. Upon driving home, I noticed the PPF on the driver side mirror was peeling and even after following their instruction of leaving the car out in the sun for a couple days, there was a long, horizontal bubble where the grill meets the frunk that would not shrink. I ended up making an appointment for them to fix both things. When I got home, I noticed the frunk bubble was gone but the driver side mirror's PPF wasn't cut properly. It looked rushed. Frankly, I didn't want to drive for a 4th time all the way over there to get it fixed. A couple more things I didn't really care for: there's a piece of debris trapped under the driver window tint. It's an eye sore more than anything, but I would've liked a wee bit more attention to detail on that. And I guess a lot of water is used when applying tint to the windshield because my interior panels are wrinkled and have not gone back to their original smooth state, which is again, an eye sore more than anything. I also wish I knew that multiple trips to their facility was required. Obviously, fixes would warrant a trip, but I didn't know they offer (and highly recommend) a PPF check up to make sure everything settled properly. My impression was that it was one and done once they completed the work. Considering that I live an hour away, having to Uber 3 times was a hit to my wallet that I wanted to avoid. Overall, I'm very pleased with the work. From afar, the car looks amazing. But if you're a stickler for details, little flaws eat at you. read more

TLDR: Flawless workmanship, nationwide warranty, honest/cheap/transparent pricing. Scott is the man. Flawless tinting of both of my family's vehicles. You can't beat the value, quality, and warranty of their workmanship. This is the place to go in DFW especially if you have a Tesla. Scott Solar perfectly tinted the wife's Model 3's rear windshield and matched the gradient to the roof. Every other company I talked to had all these disclaimers about the difficultly of it - extra charges for it, can't do it in one piece needs to be two (forgive my terminology), the warranty not covering it because of inevitable cracking, etc. While every other shop charges $100+ for the brow tint (the top few inches of the front windshield), Scott Solar offered it to me for free both times. While I opted to skip it, they perfectly tinted my wagon with its weird angled back windows and when my wife saw it, she decided she wanted her brow tint removed. Took her Tesla back to Scott and they removed it for free. I overdo it on quotes. At the minimum I get 3 quotes for everything - I got 10 for my wife's auto insurance, 12 for my attic insulation, 17 for my home refinance, etc. I got 5 for tinting and I doubt you will beat Scott's prices in DFW. He is a man of principle. I was able to talk to Scott about his business and his philosophy. He is very transparent and was more than willing to explain to me that he intentionally sets his prices low and how/why, not overcharging like his competitors. read more

DETAILED REVIEW- I bought a 2021 Dodge Challenger and was looking for a VINYL HOOD WRAP. Protecting the paint underneath the wrap was my top priority. I called around and read a lot of reviews. I settled on two places. The first one I called tried to upsell me to get the hood painted instead of wrapped at a significant cost increase. Then I called SCOTT SOLAR. I spoke with Nadya Scott and she got me booked into a slot quickly and sounded excited about the project. When I got to the shop, Scott also sounded excited about how the car would look which, of course, I wanted to hear. He also suggested a PAINT PROTECTION FILM for the front end which I was already considering (Texas has more rocks kicked up than any other state it seems). I added limo tint to the back and side windows which wasn't on my initial order. Scott didn't blink an eye and suggested the CERAMIC TINT which I was already settled on. I left the car anticipating how great it would look. Two days later I called with another curve ball. One of my buddies talked me into getting the CERAMIC PAINT PROTECTION on the entire car. Again, Scott rolled with my addition and told me he'd have to keep the car a bit longer. He stayed in contact with me throughout the process and even sent pics when I asked him to. I personally went to this establishment on April 8th & after the lady checked their availability, we agreed on dropping off my vehicle on Tuesday the 18th at 10:00 am and that it would have to be kept overnight for a simple front partial & full hood clear wrap. I dropped off the vehicle at the scheduled time and date & was told I would get a phone call the next day so that I could pick up the vehicle. I did noticed the place was quite busy with vehicles, which is why I was not surprised when I did not get a phone call the next day. I called first thing Thursday morning and was then informed that due to short staffing & a family emergency with one of the employees, that my car would not be ready until late afternoon Friday the 21st but that if it was completed earlier that she would give me a call which I didn't get. I was clearly not happy about this but I figured the car was already there & the business had great reviews so I agreed. Friday morning I drove to there to confirm that my vehicle would be ready & was informed by the Operation's Manager Chris that my vehicle was next in line and that it would be & will be getting a phone call for me to pick it up. After having the phone go straight to voicemail, I drove & arrived at the place around 5pm at which point Chris walked to the back and returned with the John Scott who proceeded to tell me I must've heard wrong because my vehicle was going to be ready Saturday morning. I told him about all I stated above at which point is where it got weird. Mr. Scott proceeded to yell that I was not allowing him to speak, for the employee to remove the hood & the bumper wrap and for me to leave with my car.
