These guys did ok with tinting my windows, higher price than others but warranty was worth it. When talking on the phone they started the major league creepy sales stuff vs. just having a conversation. When in store, I meet the owner and talked about installing a new stereo. WOW, talk about high pressure sales tactics. Owner was a little "in your face" with the sales stuff and this was a MAJOR turn off. His price was competitive however, I will go else where because of the creepy and high pressure sales tactics. I went to their website and printed a coupon for off any tiny service. Called to get a quote for my car. They gave me the price of $299. I then told them I had a coupon for $30 off any tiny service. They said well that$299 is a special price so we can't honor the coupon. Need I say more? The owner called me back and offered me a car detail it if I pay full price. He didn't understand how this can be perceived as bait and switch by customer. He was rude and lacked patience. He did his business more damage by calling back and being a jerk then if I had just not picked up the phone. I would never give them my business nor wouldI recommend it to anyone else. Shady! The other reviews stating the owner not being pleasant are spot on. On top of that they are very eager to up sale you. I overhead them talking about how they were going to try to up sale the next customer. My issue specifically was they told it would be 50 dollars to install a phone bracket, which I agreed to. Once the technician was finished the owner told me and I said "Ok, 50 right?" as I'm counting it out, then he pauses and says actually 55. I asked why it was 5 dollars more and he said for shop supplies. I asked what shop supplies and he couldn't tell me anything, just stated whatever he used. I knew this was a bogus charge because the technician would have only needed a screw driver for the install. As I left I asked the technician personally what shop supplies he used and he smiled and said nothing, just my tool. The owner came out and said there is a sign on the wall saying they charge for supplies, but counted out 5 one dollar bills and gave it to me. I told him I could care less about 5 dollars, it is the principle. I truly felt like I'd been scammed and in my opinion to put a charge on an invoice that is not true is theft in my book. In the end I determined he must need that 5 dollars more than me if he is willing to steal to get it, so i threw it back at him before I left. read more

I emailed about a quote for my car and the "owner" calls me at 7am to give me my quote... If I email you for a quote, I clearly want to be emailed not called at 7am especially when I go to bed at 5am because I work late. Also, why are you yelling in a VM? Be mindful of your potential customers. They then called again at 10 am even though they already emailed me the prices!!! Which by the way are astronomically high! My car was quoted $599 but was on sale for $499!!! Oh my god they've lost their minds, I don't care how great you think you are or whatever your warranty offers. Ridiculous. I bought a coupon/special/whatever on livingsocial.com for half off the $60 car wash and wax with the option for $100 off the Ultimate window tint package. I made my appointment for the wash and wax and went in today to get that done. The wash only takes about an hour so I waited and while I was there he was talking to me about the discount on getting my windows tinted. It was something I had looked at before I came in the shop and I knew what I was looking for. I had a few questions about the different shades and benefits of the tint. The owner of the shop was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products he offers which helped me make my decision. It was nice to see someone actually work to make a sale instead of just saying "this is my product, do you want it?" If I spend a couple hundred dollars on something you need to sell me on it. But he was not pushy at all. Everyone in the store was very profesional and courteous and I'll be back for another car wash. read more

I'm torn on writing this review. I was able to get my Camry in right away to get the windows tinted, the work was done in less than an hour but the cost was very high. With the cost, taxes, etc I paid almost $500. $500 for one hours worth of work and it was just tinting!!! The owner and employees were professional and there is a lifetime warranty but that cost is insane. I probably won't go there again since I can get someone else to do it for half the price and probably get the same thing. Come on Tint World, your prices are ridiculous. read more

My husband had giving me two Groupons.The first time my car looked like it had been thru a laser car wash and hand dried! The second time i thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, it looked the same way!But with the following; stratchs in my clearcoat from the buffer, paper jammed into my cigarette lighter,bugs&wax still left on the car and streaking on the windows. I just had my 2017 Camaro detailed and had ceramic coating applied. My car looks amazing! Randy was a pleasure to work with and they took very good care of my car. They spent a lot of time just getting it ready for the ceramic. Randy helped me get the most for my money. He called to keep me updated on the progress. I also had rim protectors added. I wouldn't even do much give them a one star first of all the had a coupon on Groupon for remote to start for 154$ when I called to make my appt I was told that I had to pay a extra 162$ for a piece that they don't include with the coupon. Rip off right there still went ahead and paid the money dropped my car to only pick my car with my hood latch broken right were they installed the starter. When approached about it they claimed to never touch the latch or lift he hood. I though it was weird that they wouldn't lift my hood up at all to do that type of work so I called around a few other places. Every place said that it's impossible for them to install a remote to start without lifting my latch. Worst customer service. I took my vehicle to get speakers and an amp put in back in November 2016. I finally chose the speakers and amp I wanted, after they kept trying to up sale me, and scheduled the installation service. Also, as a lot of others have commented, the owner is rude, but I overlooked that. The entire price was not cheap by any means, but I've always believed that you get what you pay for, so I expected top notch service; I could not have been more wrong. The next week, I dropped my truck off for the day to have the installation completed. When I picked it up that afternoon, everything seemed to be working great until I was almost home. At that point, my front left (driver's side) speakers stopped working. I called Randy (owner), and he told me that they would have to schedule an appt to get it looked at. I took my truck in a few days later and they said that the amp was faulty (even though it was supposed to be new) and that they replaced it with a new amp (I'm still not sure the replacement amp was new, as it may have been an "open box" one they had sitting around since it was not the exact model I had bought (they said that the one they installed was a better one, but that just sounded suspicious). At that point I didn't care and was happy that everything worked as it should. However, again, when I was almost home, my driver's side speakers stopped working. I was very frustrated at this point and called Randy again. He said that they would have to make another appt. to look at it. On a side note, Tint World is about 20 minutes away from my house and they don't have a convenient place to wait, e.g. Starbucks, coffee shop, etc. while the work is being done. I ended up waiting this time at a small barbecue place while they looked at it. This time they told me that the speakers were working and that I would have to bring it in when they weren't working. As Murphy's Law would have it, they were indeed working at that time, so I was even more frustrated. Again, on my way home, they stopped working. I called Randy again and told him that I would bring it in when they totally stopped working since they would come on and off depending on the weather and volume of the radio. I got very busy and honestly, used to them not working, for about six months. I finally decided that I would bite the bullet and take it in during the Christmas break of this year (2017). I made an appt., took the truck in and waited while they "fixed" it. They said that they replaced the speaker (oh, and he told me he didn't have to charge me because it was still under warranty - gee thanks for that). I was happy to finally have it fixed, until, yep, you guessed it, they stopped working on my way home. I called Randy and he told me that I could make an appt. to bring it back in, but if it was the amp, it wouldn't be under warranty and that it wouldn't be free. Really? What if it was the amp that was the issue the entire time? That means that they should have replaced it back when it WAS still under warranty. Even though I was supposed to go in today to get my stereo fixed, for the 4th time, I decided to not waste any more time with Tint World and pay to have someone else fix it. At this point, I can't trust that Tint World would be able to fix it and not hurt the electrical system in the process. The bottom line is that I did not have a good experience at Tint World and I definitely would not recommend anyone buying or having a stereo installed there. Now, just to be fair, they may be good at tinting windows, so I can't comment on that. On one last note, I bet that a lot of folks giving Tint World 5 stars are friends or relatives of the employees. if you take the time to look at the detailed review, you'll see that even though 30 people gave them five stars, 13 people gave them one star, 4 people gave them four stars, and 1 person gave them two stars. I'm not sure what kind of crazy math is involved here, but I don't see how it comes out to an overall 4 star review. I hope this helps folks who are looking to get a stereo installed. read more

I called to get a quote today and the guy who answered was extremely rude. I asked about a detailing package and he tells me the price. I said do you have some sort of standard package or what's the starting price for detailing. He says wait now you're confusing me what are you asking for? I said I guess the starting range of detailing that would and before I could finish my sentence he says hold on hold on let me talk. They probably do a great job with tinting and detailing but I would never know because I would not spend my money there if you can't take the time to answer my questions and help me. I can easily see how people can be upset with this place, so i'll offer some advice that I've learned. Now with two cars done by them for tinting I'll have to say i'm happy with their product. The tint is good quality and sticks well, though I did get their best one. Like any product there can be an issue, so KEEP your receipt because they will require it to fix anything. Not the best practice, but I can understand it. a lot of people complained about customer service, typically with the owner, and that makes a lot of sense. The owner is brash, and at times obnoxious. Don't deal with him. Ask for Kyle. Kyle is just as capable, and infinitely more pleasant. I've been in customer service for two decades so people with a strong personality from Jersey, New York, or points north do not bother me like they do many others with their personality. If that is a concern then Kyle is your man. I can only comment on their tint product though, I have not utilized them for either electronics or detailing. read more

I went in to get tint taken off & replaced along with getting a scratch buffed out. I was called a couple hours after my appointment and told, through voicemail, that my car was ready for pick up. I waited and had my mom take me there only to see that my car was NOT ready. Tint was done, but buffing wasn't. I left ticked off and came back a few hours later when it was completely done. Owner asked, "Are you in a better mood this time?" and asked where I was from. After my answer he replied with, "wow, I thought people from there were too high on weed to be in a bad mood." I was a bit in shock. Horrible customer service. I would never recommend this place to anybody. read more

You can forget about "life-time guarantee" on window tinting. I had nine months ago, "the best-of-the-best" according to the Manager and was assured that the $100 per window was fully covered. WRONG! First they look at you like your scum, then go to my truck and sure enough, the film on the passenger side is beginning to peel in the corner. The Manager keeps noting that it was nine months ago that they did the work and repeatedly asks when I first noticed the problem (does it matter?). Then he calls for some employee to come look at the window. This "expert" explains that it is caused by my window rain guard. So....it's not their fault. When I note that the guard was on the window when they did the work, I am told "they never can tell". NOT THIER FAULT. But, being the "nice Guy", the Manager is willing to not charge me for removal but it will be another $75 to re-do. Points of interest-1) The rain guard is on the OUTSIDE of the window, the film is on the INSIDE. If that is the reason, why didn't the whole top of the window peel? 2) If it is a problem with the rain guard, why would you offer to do the job again? 3) Why didn't they mention the possible problem the first time? I definitely left feeling like I had just left a scam garage in lower Manhattan, NY. read more

Took my SUV in for a detail with a Groupon deal. When they finished, I went out and the first thing I see is a chunk of paint knocked off down to the base. They did not bring it to my attention and that really bothered me more than the fact that it happened. Randy, the owner, came out to see the damage. He seemed very sincere. He gave me his card and told me to fax him an estimate and he'd take care of it. I received an estimate, took pictures and prepared the fax only to find there was no fax number on the card. There was an email address so I emailed everything and guess what? Invalid email address!! I call the shop and speak with Randy and get the fax number. I hear nothing from him for several days so I call him. He says he called the manager of the body shop (he didn't have a name of course) who said there are other areas where the paint is popping up and there is an underlying issue with the paint so he is not responsible. None of this was on the estimate from the body shop and I know there are no other places like that. I politely asked him to put that in an email to me which he did. I called my insurance company and discussed it with them. I sent them the estimate, my receipt for the detail, pictures and Randy's email. They told me to file a claim against my comprehensive policy and they will go after the money for the damage. The repair work was done by a different body shop, Coats in Raleigh who did an outstanding job, who said that there are no other places where the paint is popping off. I may not get my deductible back but I'm surely going to tell people what kind of business policies and morals this man has. So be warned and BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! read more

Went there for what was referred to as their supreme detailing package. Mediocre would be too kind a description of the job that was done. The wheels were not thoroughly clean, nor was the interior even though I paid an additional $100 for steam cleaning service. I assumed that perhaps the owner was not aware of the poor level of service. But when I showed him the areas of concern, he was defensive and suggested that some of the stains were just too stubborn. When I showed him the wheels he made the same suggestion, yet when he rubbed his finger on the wheel it easily picked up the black deposits that were still on the wheel. He had to finally acknowledge that the wheels were not properly cleaned. His initial unwillingness to acknowledge the poor workmanship suggest that the level of service will not improve. Perhaps they do a great job of window tinting. I do not know. But they should get out of the detailing business. read more

I had my 2014 Ford Mustang tinted here and overall it was a great experience. The owner ( Randy ) was courteous to take me to work since I wasn't able to wait for my vehicle. The process took about an hour or so. I also purchased a supreme detail and just had that done today ( Excellent Job !!! ) it looked better than buying it off the showroom floor! When I dropped off my car for the detailing, I talked to Randy about a couple of areas of concern with the tint. Some of the edges weren't completely covered, he didn't hesitate to let me know it would be an easy fix. When I came back to pick up my car I was amazed at how good it looked and couldn't wait to show it off. I would recommend this place to anybody, and I would suggest if you do get your windows tinted to go for the ultimate tint option. It is the most priciest but you won't regret it. I went on google and looked up best tint places in the Raleigh/cary area and tint world showed up. I went there to get my windows tinted on my new vw cc. They did an excellent job. I wanted a real dark tint but the owner randy talked to me and showed me the right tint for my car. I loved the tint they did and no mistakes they were fast and professional. I liked the tint job that I came back for them to tint my tail lights and once again the owner randy helped me with what tint to do. they price was very reasonable. the tail lights look good as hell. I highly recommend tint world to everyone. they are friendly and very nice. randy the owner is outstanding and actually appreciates the customers business and not just want their money. please recommend this place to everyone for tint or anything cause they do everything. I've had a couple cars tinted here with decent results but not the best. I had one window that had to be redone because there was a hair in it right in my line of sight to the rear view mirror. After my most recent experience I'll never go back. I had an appointment for 11:00 on a Saturday to just tint the 2 front side windows. They called early that morning of the appointment and said the owner scheduled another appointment over that time and asked if I could come in at 4:00. I couldn't do that, but rescheduled for the following Saturday at 10:00. Fast forward to next Saturday: I show up at 9:50 and they guy at the counter looks through the book and struggles to read an incorrect phone number for me that's been marked through. "Oh that's why we couldn't reach you. We've been trying to call you all morning. Can you leave it with us?" Then he talked about how busy they were. I will not be going back. They don't seem to need my business anymore. There is a good place call Sun Protection over on James Jackson that only has weekday hours or Formula One up in North Raleigh that I used to go to that does have Saturday hours. read more
