Do not risk your internet access with Ting, they are not ready. (Thanks to their local partners). I was really looking forward to having Ting with 2 Gbps fiber synchronous internet speed (Carlsbad, CA). Unfortunately, Ting relies on local partners (local companies) to complete the installation. The fiber conduit was installed from the street to an outside grey box, this was done on time, however more than 10 feet of the conduit is exposed (other reviews talk about this, so it truly is malpractice). A week later, the fiber optic was installed from the grey box outside my home to the modem inside my home. After this, I waited 3 weeks for a local partner to run the fiber optic from the street thru the conduit. I called Ting 3 times, contacted Ting support chat another 3 times and nothing. Ting staff is very professional but they are unable to obtain a firm date from local partners to complete installation. The poor installation of the conduit and the lack of capacity to complete installation, shows a serious dependency on terrible/unprofessional local partners. This is affecting Ting's brand, value proposition and most likely Ting's internet reliability in case of internet downtimes. I have decided to cancel this service. read more

Ting support has been horrible. The 855 telephone number is on hold forever. I contacted the person who installed my internet and no answer or return call. The guy who came to my house to check how my internet service was from Ting, he didn't even know that we already had Ting. The guy from Ting had to drill a hole in my house to even install their equipment. Don't do fiber internet with Ting, you only get frustrated when you deal service people. read more

threatened multiple times by possibly unlicensed contractor who trespassed and spray painted my property, left wires blocking the drive on another visit which prevented my wife from being able to go to work. Ting contractor refused to give any type of supervisor number, cops were called, ting contractor threatened me infront of three police officers. Second review about trying to get Ting run to our home in Encinitas. Basically, the job is done by two crews - the first gets it TO the home, the second gets it INTO the home. First crew came out and showed me an acceptable plan. I said "So when do the home guys come to show me where it is going INTO the home?" Another review here mentioned the guy I spoke to. I spoke to the same guy who said they don't come out for a site visit - they just come out for the install. I said - who let's you drill into their home without you going over a plan? He didn't like that. The good news is, he didn't tell me to go f' myself, at least not in so many words. Haven't heard back. Ting is a joke. I'll keep my DSL thank you very much. read more

This is the worst internet provider. They don't even answer the phone to help their customers. Ting is a real racket, you can be waiting hours on the phone. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO TING INTERNET! Was excited to be able to get Ting in our new house after years of bad cable connection. Scheduled an install and was told they would complete the outside work and then install inside three weeks later. Got a reminder email and text every day that they were coming. Took off work to be there. Get a text two hours before my appointment that they won't be there because the outside work is not done and they'll be in touch to reschedule. No other info. Nope. Especially after reading all these reviews, we'll go with someone else. read more

Ting internet is absolutely fabulous speed, and $90/mo for 1Gi up/down is great value. However, customer service is terrible. Not the people, but the wait times. Be prepared to hang out listening to the same music for 45 minutes, with an automated assistant interrupting the music to let you know "we don't like leaving you on hold." There are so many solutions out there from software to AI agents -- pretty large oversight to allow this level of customer service in 2025. read more

When the installer Evan showed up I showed him where the existing Ting equipment was. I assumed he would run wire thru my attic. He said "if you are going to give me attitude" at which point I told him to get off the property. He told me to " F()k myself" and said I was an a-hole the last time he came out also. He came two weeks earlier and I learned 15 minutes before he arrived that my wife had Covid. So he didn't enter my home. Monday he didn't come as he was sick and today he arrived an hour late. read more

Brand new to Ting and wow! I am not impressed. The installer no showed for the installation and I had to call several times to get back on the schedule. The first guy came and halfway installed our system and then abruptly left. Several days later someone showed up with no appointment and brought in the missing router. He did the minimum but did not put back the wires pulled from the router box in our closet and left a big mess of wires hanging out of the box. What kind of service is this? ting sent out a message today saying that our lifetime promise of $89/month forever was going to increase by 4.77 starting jan 1. ting is already the highest priced isp and the monthly fee should be decreased to 85.23 to absorb this cost. flat out they lied. many friends have been trying to contact ting today to cancel but the lines are busy...probably everyone b*tch*ng. it was nice while it lasted, this is in response to the recent email. you lied !!! when i signed up i was told that $89. was the monthly fee and it was lifetime.. to incorporate this infrastructure bs just lower the monthly fee from 89.00 to 85.23 to absorb it. ting is the highest isp around after doing some research. yes your speeds are great but please, eat the $4.77 at your end. read more

We've been trying to get internet with Ting for almost a year now. They've said there are permit issues in front of our house and then just left us hanging. No replies to emails, no callbacks. We called again today and someone said 'a manger left you a voicemail' but then when they confirmed the number (because we didn't have a voicemail) it wasn't even complete! When we asked how they left a message, she laughed. This service is absolutely ridiculous. How can a company continue to pass on making money?! A year of waiting and still no one knows how to help? Pretty horrible and very frustrating as a potential customer. Everyone around us has Ting but we can't get answers. read more

Ting is the best thing that happened in my world of tech. From the initial introduction to installation to turning it on, everything was done professionally and the company communicated clearly and professionally each step along the way. They brought the connection to an inner room that required extra effort, but never any charges. Just the $89 per mo. And the service has never failed in over a year. It's 1TB both ways. Always. It replaced my Spectrum Internet that was 1/4 the speed, the same cost, and not always reliable. With streaming (YouTubeTV) I'm completely free of the cable companies. read more

I attempted to sign up for Ting but it never happened. They supposedly sent their site survey company out to get our property to see if they could bring Ting to our home. They said the site folks looked at our home and that was they last I heard from them. I emailed them a number of times with no response. I am not sure if they are too busy, understaffed or just don't care. I am a little bummed because it seems like a good service. read more

Fast onboarding and hookup, but we had poor customer service response once we were signed up. The service is not as fast as they say, either, and subject to outages and at times unreliable. Comcast isn't great but at least they don't keep you on hold, then hang up after 25 minutes (our experience today). Even "chat" service doesn't work (30 minutes no answer). Ting advertised "high-speed" internet is far from reality. The download and upload speeds are often far below the promised rates. I also have experienced frequent disruptions and outages. This has resulted in disrupted work, interrupted online meetings, and the inability to complete essential tasks on time. read more
