Excellent venue for showcasing Orlando's upcoming talent. Perfect setting to accommodate a crowd but not intimidate the performers.

We went last night for a Live! Recording of The Greenjays and Friends. It was great! The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the acoustics are wonderful! They have a state of the art sound setup and are utilizing a unique technology from Holland. When you come in, they do offer wine and water for free. Patrons donate wine bottles and that's what the volunteers provide to the guests. All and all a great experience and we will be back. The Greenjays are a great local jazz band and I recommend checking them out.

This place was great!! Very intimate with the most amazing audio/video setup. I was fortunate enough to go with the management from a local news radio station and got the complete backstory of the building and how it came to be. The owner/designer of the venue walked us through the entire building process and got the inside scoop. It was an amazing experience to say the least. They started with a local artists film from the independent film festival and then went on to play through the lead jazz artists inspirational artists compositions. We entered the building/home and were immediately greeted with our choice of wine ( bring a bottle leave a bottle) it was very community oriented and the wine was from a guest prior to us. I had no idea what to expect but was very impressed. I definitely underestimated how amazing the venue/home would be. (It's a home turned venue) If you get a chance to go here do yourself the favor and do so.

How is it that I have never gone here before? What an exquisite gem of a venue! We arrived about ten minutes early, gave our wine and food to a staff member, and sat outside with charming lights and plants on the covered patio. On the way in we gratefully made our contribution in a jar by the door. Once inside we were immediately impressed with the beauty of the welcoming area. Jim Spence was an amazing guitarist and I could have listened to him all night. Lauren Heinz made me feel like a was sitting on a back porch on an Alabama summers day, drinking a Big Dipper of cool well water. Loved the intimate setting of this and will definitely go back again and again

5 Stars for an intimate arts venue, inside someone's house, that hosts incredible local and international musicians and actors. Most of the shows at The Timucua White House are free with a donation plus bring your own snacks/wine. You rarely need to buy your spot ahead of time, but the show I attended was with Grammy Award winning jazz flutist, Nestor Torres, so reservations were required and there was a long line of people waiting outside in case there were unclaimed seats. As you enter, you'll pass a dining room of sorts, where snacks and wine that guests bring is set up for the picking. Along side is the kitchen and through a set of doors you'll walk into a tall theater. Three narrow floors look down upon the stage and are accessible by a winding staircase. Each floor has a bathroom and the two top floors have space for a couple of small couches and some stools. All together I think they have room for 100 guests. The intimate setting, located inside a family's home, makes this space feel unique, special, and like something you feel compelled to support and protect. And one way to do that is to become a member. They were saying it costs $100/year and you get priority seating to their shows. Plus, it's a nonprofit arts organization so you can feel charitable while scoring great seats! So, go online. Check out the calendar. And pick up some snacks to share with your fellow local art/music loving Orlandoans!

I don't know how I have lived in the Orlando area for so long and never knew about this place - what a gem! First of all, I have to say it wasn't easy to find. And that's because I didn't realize it is a house that has been renovated to be an intimate venue for various arts events like concerts and artist presentations. It was night time so it was very dark. I drove past it the first time and noticed the beautiful lights around the house thinking "that's so pretty - they have their Christmas light up early". (It was beginning of November.) I'm not sure if they have the lights up year-round so just be aware that it's in a residential and is an actual house - it doesn't look like a business building. My GPS app navigated me to the back of the house, but the front of the house faces Boone High School. Thankfully, there were several people walking up to the venue so I just followed the people! There is limited parking along the street, but there is a city park near the house and we were instructed in an email that we could park there, which is what my friend and I did. Once you get to the house, you walk into beautiful and intimate surroundings. The concert I went to was not one that was put on by the Timucua Arts Foundation, but apparently they have intimate concerts and other events every week. They took our tickets at the front "lobby" which looked like a museum with beautiful displays. We were directed where to go and proceeded to the location where the concert was being held. The venue is literally the home owner's living room, albeit a very large and beautiful one! A small stage is up front with a large video monitor that I assumed used for some of the events. The venue room has balcony seating on the second floor and even a small amount of seating on a third level. But if you're afraid of heights, I suggest staying on ground level! The acoustics is professional and top notch and once the band started, it filled the room without being overpowering or deafening. The home owner, Benoit, welcomed us before the show started. He told us a little bit about the foundation and some of the upcoming events. They ask for a donation for admission and usually ask $10-20 depending on the venue. Its a non-profit and they do this to share their love of the arts. The types of performances vary and they range from jazz to Latino music, classical ensembles as well as live art performances where an artist paints to music. They don't have a liquor license, but guests are welcome to bring their own. There is beautiful art work on display throughout the entire home. Make sure to check out their website to see their calendar of events and learn more about them. I was pleasantly pleased with the whole venue and am so glad I finally discovered it! If you like music and the arts, you definitely need to check this place out!

Perfect place to watch live performances. Great date spot or night out with friends and best of all walking distance in Wadeview park/Delaney's neighborhood.

I seriously love how Orlando seems to have morphed into this amazing, interesting city with experiences you'd expect in major metros like NY or LA, but instead are happening in suburban Orlando! I had heard of the Timucua Arts Foundation thru an event the Orlando Sentinel newspaper had listed and had been wanting to go check them out for a while. So was stocked as a newsletter subscriber to get x2 gratis tickets to check out the pianist Jenny Lin whose repertoire includes stints working with Philip Glass, a modern composer whose haunting compositions I was introduced to with the movie, "The Hours." Parking was easy to find, just down the street at Wadeview Park, and then my mum and I made our way to this event space/ house. And it really is the founder, Benoit Glazer and his family's house! They built a purpose built concert space in their living room and so the feel is intimate and immediate to the artist and of course, the acoustics are simply fantastic! They ask that you bring food to share, and so I got a cheese platter with crackers which was put on the table in the lobby - I saw plenty of dips, a couple of salads and a lovely veg lasagne plus Punch too! The Glazer family supply the utensils, plates, glasses, etc. The seating is a mix of chairs, benches and bar tables on the main floor, and there is a smallish spiral staircase which leads up to the balcony, where you get a great view if playing technique is what you are after. I got chatting to the folks sitting next to me and discovered they were music theory and instruments majors at UCF, so it was interested mix of crowd including some young'uns to their grand-parents! Re: the concert itself, I found some pieces more interesting than others, but what really stood out for me, was when Jenny Lin explained more about the pieces she was playing. Overall, just a fantastic evening out, listening to beautiful classical music compositions. Yelp 155/ 2018

This performing arts venue is a treasure. Featuring world class musicians in an intimate setting. The room has the best acoustics due to the walls, floor, and ceiling made of wood, except for the brick behind the stage. Love the philosophy of the owners, especially sharing their home to bring in great artists. Check out their website for future events and do yourself a favor by attending one of the diverse concerts.

I mean, what can I say about this place that hasn't already been said. It's amazing, it's a great cause, you get to see musicians you may never otherwise have a chance to see, very intimate performances, it's perfect. My mom said it reminds her very much of growing up in Peru where some of her extended family (who were musicians) would open their house Sunday evenings to musicians, artists, poets, political activists, etc. of the time (60's) and there strangers became friends and people would create music and art and it created a special energy. Definitely take a bottle of wine and ideally something to munch on to contribute to the potluck. Members get in early and have special pricing and other perks, so it's worth it if you think you'll go somewhat regularly and you want to support the arts. Arrive early, because although you'll be waiting in line for a bit, it'll be a lot easier to find a space for you and your date. Tip: drop off your wine and go grab a seat and leave your stuff in it first and then go get wine and food and mingle. Although, if you see me there, go ahead and take your time before getting a seat....

So happy I got the chance to check out this venue. We came here to watch a Latin Jazz group play. Parking was a little confusing but you can park in the park parking lot, along the street and also, behind the house there's a street where you can park. So although it may look like there's not enough parking, there's plenty! Just be sure to park in legal places and you're good lol. Upon walking up to the house, there were fold up chairs outside and some people (host helpers? Idk how else to word that), collecting any food and beverage that were brought for everyone to enjoy. When you enter the home, you are technically in the dinning room and the kitchen is to the left. They had the doors closed to the kitchen but a small area for someone pouring wines right out front. All good and drinks are "bring your own." Thankfully we brought a bottle of wine to contribute. Essentially, if no one brings anything, you won't have anything (from my understanding). So I suggest bringing something that you can at least enjoy and share to friends! When you enter the entertainment area (living room), there was a nice young gentleman opening the door for people! Inside there are 3 floors!! I was shocked that they could fit 3 levels of seats. There were probably more than 45 seats on the 1st floor. About ~25 on the second and a small love seat and I'm assuming around 15 on the 3rd floor (I didn't go all the way to the top). We got a chance to sit on the second floor right along the railing. We had a great view and the overall atmosphere felt warming. The home is owned by an artist and his wife. He needed a place to play his own music so they built a concert area in their living room. From my understanding they have more than 200? Concepts, which is extremely cool. They had different forms of art around. They had paintings on the wall, the musicians playing and an artist painting while the musicians were playing. Super cool! There are bathrooms on each floor (bonus!). The only downfall was that the chairs we sat in got a little uncomfortable after about an hour, so maybe bring a cushion or some padding to sit on or just lounge on the couch! They hold many concerts/events here so check them out! Thanks for having us!

The concerts are sometimes classical, sometimes folk, and more times, jazz. All wonderfully chosen.

Ambiance is utterly incredible. Elevated jazz club, just enough seating, and a stage big and grand enough to make it so there's not a bad seat in the house. Really beautiful space. Service was just as elevated. These servers are very well adapted to sneaking around tables and delivering food and beverage at awkward angles. Good thing the show was so good, because I really don't know if the food came out timely or not. As for the food, it was good. We started off with the Cheese and charcuterie board (salami toscano, capicola, sage derby, brie cheese, toasted focaccia, marcona almonds, grapes & champagne peach jam). This was a nice little snack board. Kept my fingers busy during the show. I also had the Crab rangoon dip (wonton crisps, sweet chili sauce, scallions). This was a really nice little dip. Creamy, unctuous, and topped with a zingy sweet chili sauce. Loved the wonton crisps, and there were plenty of them. The last savory thing we had was a special flatbread. I forgot what was on it, but there was some sort of chorizo, and I was just really happy with the size of the thing. Regular restaurants hear flatbread and try to make them as small as possible, but this place really gives you a nice meal. We finished off with the Dark chocolate bread pudding (cocoa nibs, frangelico anglaise, raspberries). This was fun. It was baked in some sort of muffin tin, it wasn't very soaked, and the dark chocolate was dark. It wasn't bitter, but it wasn't sweet, so the anglaise is where you find that balance, and the little zing from the raspberries. A very nice, restrained dessert. I like it. Overall, I was a big fan of Judson's. The show and the food were very good, and I can see myself coming back here repeatedly.

During our visit we saw a Grammy nominated trombonist along with a great drummer, bass player, and keyboardist. The music was great and had everyone dancing in their seat, with even a few dancing in the aisles. The food was also excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect and didn't have super high expectations, but the food beat my expectations. We shared some calamari, a spicy sautéed shrimp appetizer, and crab cake. They were all very tasty. Everyone ordered something different as their entree. We were all pleased with our meals. I ordered the Steak Frites. The steak was tender and juicy, and the truffle Parmesan shoestring fries were perfect. For dessert we shared the bread pudding à la mode and a slice of carrot cake. That banana bread pudding was phenomenal and the carrot cake was also really good. Our server was also very nice and did a great job handling our larger group. He explained that each table has a QR Code where you can order a Pizza from the new pizza place downstairs that replaced the Robinson Coffee shop. This really came in handy as we got lost in the vibe, were hungry but didn't want to leave. The pizza was a super thin crust, quality pepperoni, and just overall really hit the spot. I went on a Saturday night, but the experience was very different from what I expected. The music was more in the style of 1920s/1930s traditional jazz--slower, classic, and more suited as background ambiance rather than something you'd sing or dance along to. It wasn't the modern, upbeat, or R&B-infused jazz vibe I had anticipated, so for me, it fell flat in terms of energy. The aesthetic, though, is stunning. The space feels like a speakeasy, complete with a hidden bookshelf entrance, and the decor is unique and perfect for Instagrammable moments. It's definitely a place where you could get some amazing photos, and I'd honestly consider coming back during the day for a shoot. Service-wise, my experience was mixed. We waited at the bar for a while with no acknowledgment from the male bartender, even as he poured drinks right in front of us. It wasn't until we moved to the other side where the female bartender immediately greeted us and kindly said she'd be right with us. I really appreciated her hospitality, but it did leave a sour taste that we were ignored at first. Overall, if you're looking for a lively night out with interactive music you can vibe with, this may not be the spot. But if you enjoy classic 1920s jazz in a beautifully designed space--or if you're looking for a unique backdrop for photos--then Phoenix Jazz Club might be worth checking out.
