Came in not too long ago for dinner and got a half dozen each of the spicy Angry Wings and the Tim's Place Dry Rub. The Angry Wings were great, but the dry rub wings were some of the best I've ever had, and it's not even close. Perfect mix of juicy and crispy, with just the right amount of spice. When I asked about the recipe, the cook came out and chatted with me for a while, which was quite nice. I went back a few weeks later and tried the pizza, which is also excellent - I'm used to St. Louis-style pizza, and this was easily on par if not better. This is one of those small diners close to me that I've passed coming home a million times before; I just happened to try it on a whim. Glad I did! read more

Pizza at Tim's! I ordered take out on a tip that they make "incredible pizza". This was the first time I even knew Tim's did pizza. I heard they made great breakfasts and lunches so they must be so busy doing three meals each day that I never imagined they managed pizza in the mix. Well they do! And they do it very well. If any of you locals (as old as I am) remember Zachary's Pizza, you will INSTANTLY recognize the quality of Tim's to be very similar to Zach's. They have that nice crispy outside crust, the cheese is incorporated throughout the pie and veggies (we did the House Special but switched the mushrooms for bacon!) caramelize nicely in however they bake them. I loved it! It smells the same too driving it back home. If you do remember Zach's and liked it, I highly recommend you try Tim's for a travel back in time for your senses of smell and taste. It will make you smile. I've also been told they do it a lot like Swanton House Of Pizza as well if any of you have tried them before. Service was quick and friendly. I was worried they either didn't do the mushroom swap correctly or forgot the side of ranch dressing but both were there ready for me. In fact, I showed up early to pick up the pie and it was right out of the oven when I got there! Can't beat that for timing. Prices are comparable to local high end pizzas. Given that, and the quality of the pizza this first time out, I'm doing Tim's for pizza every time! I'm excited to see what they have to offer on breakfast and lunches. read more

How do you screw up eggs? I dined at Tim's Place for breakfast, only to be served cold, overdone eggs. It was obvious that the cook had made these and let them sit while preparing the other parts of the meal. I asked my waitress to microwave them. She replied that she'd have the cook put them back on the grill. Five minutes later I get eggs that are more overdone, and still cold! Why couldn't they have just made me fresh eggs? Poor judgement on somebody's part. No one asked me if my meal was good, no manager came by to check on me. A little quality control would have gone a long way here, but as it is, I'll be finding a different breakfast place in St Albans. read more

On our way back home from Montreal we needed to stop for lunch. Tim's had good reviews so we decided to try it. The food was delicious. Breakfast at a sit down place is pretty rare for me, at least it is after a long night at work! I've been eyeing Tim's place hesitantly since I moved to st. Albans. So naturally I gotta give it a chance! My SO got french toast with a side of home fries and sausage, while I got a sausage burrito. The french toast was a little above average, while the home fries were just bad. The breakfast burrito was alright but certainly not the best I've had. Service was prompt but weak, she only came by sparingly and was in a hurry to do something else. Overall, give it a try if you are looking for a quick bite but don't expect too much. read more

Stopped there for lunch yesterday while visiting my son. Really good local food with friendly servers. We ordered the BLT (thick smoked bacon and lots of it) and the fried fish special. The food was tasty, plentiful and served quickly. Will definitely go back. read more

We did take out last night one burger and fries she like it, I ordered a calzone it was the worst calzone I have ever had they do not make a traditional one with Ricotta and mozzarella instead they only put pizza cheese on it. If you won't a good calzone go to the Georgia house of pizza there food is great!! read more

Pros: $5.95 breakfast deal 7-9am weekdays comes with coffee or tea. Cons: only one waitress who was too busy to bring drinks. We never got one of three. Drive farther north to try another place for breakfast. Not impressed by food or service. My son ordered an omelette with ham, Swiss, onion, but was served an omelette off the menu that also had cheddar and green peppers. I didn't eat half what was on my plate. Pancake was bland, biscuits were doughy, sausage gravy average. If you're hungry and just want something acceptable, this place will do. read more

Met a friend for brunch here on a Sunday. Food was great (I had the fried haddock po' boy with onion rings -- nice and crispy, hot, with a good batter). Tim's is as solid and reliable as you will probably find in St Albans... But that's not saying enough, really. Their food is always a step above - the other day I had the French dip for lunch, which most will roll their eyes at as they think "how could anyone ruin a French dip"? So let me tell you how Tim's surprises... 1) Roast beef was hot and moist without falling apart. 2) They slip some Swiss cheese in to give it some interest 3) Bread was AWESOME...what kind a FD every time is soft, wimpy rolls. This torpedo was firm with a good toothy crust that holds together when dunked...that IS the point of this sandwich after all. 4) AuJus was rich, but not overly salty 5) got the salad subbed for fries and it was fresh and crisp....the house Greek dressing is perfect as well. I had been hesitant to go here because it seemed like just another diner in a city that has a lot of diners. However, I decided to give it a try for the first time with my husband and parents. We've eaten at Tim's a couple times a month and have usually been satisfied with food and service. Stopped in on June 23rd for a quick dinner. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. After a few bites she realized that something was wrong with the chicken (it was grainy and the flavor was off). She advised the server and stopped eating the sandwich. When the bill came we were charged for the chicken sandwich. I paid the server but told him that it was ridiculous to charge for an inedible meal. He said that he had spoken to the owner and was instructed to not remove it from the bill. I hope the owner puts that 9 bucks to good use because its the last money he'll ever get from us. We'll never set foot in this place again! read more

Ehmehgerd go here! I was blown away at how delicious the food here was. I ordered the breakfast burrito with homefries. Their salsa is a touch on the mild side (I tend to like spicier things though) but it was still very flavorful. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and I'm picky with my scrambled eggs. The tater tots mixed in the burrito was a pleasant surprise! I wouldn't even give my husband a taste because I was so greedy. Their homefries are delicious, a little undercooked but I didn't even care because the seasoning was spot on. Our waitress was sweet and attentive and the prices are beyond reasonable; I already can't wait to go back for lunch! read more

OK, I do not want to sound dramatic. But I just got home from Tim's place. I decided today would be the day that I tried the blue ribbon burger. Upon receiving my tray I could smell the nice sweet smell of savory meat and crispy breaded onion rings. Upon getting home I opened the tray. I bear witness to the most beautifully placed burger and ring selection that I have ever received at a restaurant or to go. I felt the buns. They were nice and crispy, but not too crispy. Still light and fluffy inside. I added a bit of mayonnaise and a touch of barbecue sauce. I bit into the burger and was immediately met with a sweet euphoria. The flavor was great, the meat cooked exactly how I wanted it. Each bite I found myself more and more in love with this simple dish of ground meat. For 50% less than most other burger places around this is an absolute steal. A simple yet tasty burger. I found myself licking my fingers once I was completed with the destruction of this meat patty and golden rings. 10/10, left me full and with the meat sweats. read more

I often get an Omelet or their Greek salad and Chicken Souvlaki. They have fun specials like Bacon Cheddar Waffles; I smelled one going to another table & had to order one to take away. This place is literally MY PLACE, because my name is Tim!(get it?) I thought this was just bananas so of course I made the 2-3 hour drive in the snow from Plattsburgh to indulge in some fine eatery. Now the restaurant is named after me, so I was expecting it to have pictures of either me of historically famous Tim's on the wall, it unfortunately had neither. Upon realizing this place was not constructed only to cater to my very specific needs, I was a little discouraged. But that did not stop me for ordering their SPECIALTY seafood mac and cheese with their famous garlic bread! The seafood mac is always the hottest selling dish at Tim's and it's by far the best tasting. 4 different types of European cheeses in with medium shell noodles and crab meat, lobster, shrimp, scallops and/or pieces of cod. You can order it with any or all of the cheeses and/or any or all of the seafood options! Crazy good, whatever way you decide to have it! The best part? It's always a large portion and always $6.99! I highly recommend coming to the place that I tell my loved ones (who stopped answering my emails) is named after me! read more

Was looking for a stop over on my way to Burlington. Was a bit worried about the exterior when I drove up but thought I would give it a try. I ordered the burger with sweet potato fries and my daughter got the one egg meal from the kids menu. Both were good. The bacon was quality thick cut bacon. Was shocked because Vermont is not the easiest state to get good pizza in, and this is not only one of the top I've had in Vermont but anywhere. Quick, friendly service, and that pizza was excellent. I was up in St Albans doing a remodel job and came across this place. Ginnie was one of the most pleasant waitresses I have ever come across. Our first breakfast we had at Tim's was amazing then Ginnie told us about there pizza so we came back that night. She was so right about the pizza and for a bonus we split a large sracha wings. These wings were the best I have had in a long time, cooked to perfection. Ginnie also told us about the early bird special, before 9 am all the breakfast meals are $5.99. That is a deal of the century, we have been back every morning until we left to go home. You have to try the biscuits and gravy, the corn beef hash and the pork out sandwich. read more

There's no trolling about it, just an honest review. You failed to see the humor in the Canned eggs. Secondly I was honest about the HVAC review. As for the service which was fin, now that you bring it up not once did my server ask me how anything was. It was obvious since half the food wasn't eaten I guess.
