The cheese was melty. I would suggest a different bun. The fries were crisp not soggy which you do not always find. The service was great. We were seated immediately. Nothing special, and nothing overly terrible, but the place does seem stuck in past decades. No innovation, no updating of the interior, and man, stay out of the Bathrooms! The choices were between an Idaho omelette or a chicken omelette. The chicken was a dollar more. I asked if I could get the Idaho with chicken instead of sausage. It was $2 more... silly to me. The seat backs are super hard and uncomfortable. Cute fall decor all around. The bathrooms are super old and dark and makes you feel uncomfortable. (See photo) The food was not so good, no flavor at all. Looked good, but literally zero flavor... the Hollandaise sauce was good, so I put that on everything. I really wouldn't suggest going here. I will start by saying that they are short staffed and we're busy. After waiting for 30 minutes to place our orders, we then waited again for our food to arrive. When it arrived my omelet was incorrect and I was not able to eat it due to dietary restrictions. The waitress told me I could order a new omelet but still had to pay for what I couldn't eat. At the end I paid for food that went wasted and I was still hungry. I hope the $10 was worth losing customers over. I will never return. read more

My husband, son and I came here for breakfast on a sunday morning, even though they were fairly busy, our waitress greeted us promptly, she was very friendly. The wait time between placing our orders, the St. Albans #2 and 2 western omletes, was about 10 minutes. I work in a rest, and considering how busy the diner was, that's great time! Our food arrived hot and delicious! Everything was make correctly, and our server returned twice during our meal to check on us. It did take a little longer for her to get our check, but not a huge deal! All in all it was a great meal, total was about $40. I come to this area a few times a year for work for a couple days at a time. Ate here last time I was in town but thought I'd give them another try. Worse than before. Waitresses are friendly enough but the food is pretty bad. I was tired of fast food so thought I would try the chicken lunch plate. It came with 4 pieces of the scrawniest,over cooked chicken I have ever had. So over cooked that the batter was almost black on the smaller pieces. Runny ,luke warm instant mashed potatoes ,and cold out of the can veggies. Wasn't much for $12.00. Last time in I had the open faced turkey. You could tell the gravy was canned and the meat had been frozen. It will keep you from starving to death but other than that I can find no redeeming qualities for this place. The service was even better as the wait staff was very attentive. Very accommodating of larger groups. As for the COVID restrictions, they were very clear of the requirements and all wore masks. I have been here twice. Both times I was not impressed. No hostess to help you find a table, just sit where you want and someone will find the time to come help you. Drinks came relatively fast, however it took a while for the waitress to come back to take our order. The waitress was friendly but very distracted. She was cleaning random things while our food was cooking. When the food came out she did not return to us until it was time to give us the bill. I attempted to order an omelette but sub potatoes (in the omelette) with mushrooms, would have cost $2, so I stick with how it normally comes. The waitress said the chef refuses to sub anything, she looked afraid to even ask him. Considering there was only 2 other tables (one already eating) the food took way to long to come out. The omelette itself wasn't too bad, but seriously lacking filling. The potato's tasted old, had a hardened dryish texture on the outside, probably cooked a few days ago. The cook could use a lesson in how to season food. Decor wise the place is bland, old, and better lighting would be nicer. It has the look and feel of basement. It's laughable the amount of passive aggressive notes directed at customers posted everywhere in this place, several right on the front door, super unwelcoming; it's like being attacked for just looking at theestablishment. Tabletops and floors were clean but the window sills haven't been cleaned in a while. We went there today (Easter Sunday), and it was 12:30pm, and there were only 2 other sets of customers in the other table/booths. The place across the street was packed with cars. The coffee was not that good, and the food was okay, but nothing to brag about. The coleslaw was very coarse and not that good. We had gone there about a year before, and this place has gone downhill quite a bit. We had heard (and today saw with our own eyes), that when they wash the tables, they only use water, and that's exactly what they did today. We have heard other things negative, but will not state what we heard as we did not witness first hand. The menu has a LOT of items on it, but based on the lack of customers, I don't know how they can have such a large inventory on hand when the demand does not seem that great. A nice little all-day breakfast diner. I usually go for the chicken tenders here, extra spicy. The quality can be spotty though. The last few times I ordered take out, the tenders were soggy and not at all spicy. The onion rings have been sub par lately as well. The breakfast dishes are quite good but not especially great. The service is attentive and friendly. Good portions on the breakfast food and the eating area is fairly clean for a diner. Will never go here ! I can promise that! Our lovely waitress ran out to our car tonight after we had dinner with my brother, sister in law and all of our kids. She proceeded to run her mouth to us about the tip that was left for her. Mind you our tip all together was fair. She then proceeded to swear at my brother and handed his money back(I didn't receive my tip back nor was either asked for) she then said the owner told her to go out to us and say something to us about the tip. This all took place in front of our children two babies and a four year old. My brother and his wife went in to talk to the owner and of course nothing was done and they defended her. I will never return! Very unprofessional oh and If you need a name her name was Brenda. I will NEVER return which is quite sad seeing how we all eat there frequently!
