Clean, charming, and honestly way friendlier than any "Times Square" I know of. The regular pizza was solid and flavorful... but the stuffed pizza? My GOD. That thing came out looking like it had its own gravitational pull. Heavy, cheesy, buttery crust, and an outrageous amount of cheese (yes, I asked for extra -- no regrets). I've never had a stuffed pizza before and now I feel like I've been lied to my whole life. It stole the show, the spotlight, and probably my calorie budget for the week. Totally worth it. Just like Texan-Style Mexican (TexMex) food, there is no shortage of pizza available here along the Space Coast. Now to be fair, Florida pizza will generally not stack up to the "Big Three" (New York, Detroit, Chicago), but the indie restaurants having that "mom and pop" vibe come damn near close. Fortunately for my friend Chops and I, Times Square Pizza does a very good job as we enjoyed both a classic and unique flavor pizza. Chops and I came into Times Square Pizza after making the call to eat lunch over waiting in a slow-moving line at the new Mochinut Melbourne located north, across the street. We'd figure that after eating pizza, the line would have both progressed and been shorter. Spoiler alert: they were neither. Still, we enjoyed the pizzas we ordered. I asked the waitress, a sweet older lady in her mid-age, what were the signature foods or most popular foods among locals. She suggested the stromboli, calzone, and pepperoni pizza. Since the restaurant is called "Times Square," I assume it is a callback to Times Square in New York City. Ergo, I expected the pepperoni pizza to be as close as it could be to a general New York Style pie. Times Square Pizza did a great job and though not exactly like a New York style pizza, it is probably more what is available locally as well as climate. I am sure the humidity and not using New York water affected the pizza pie from truly being a New York style pizza. Still, very good. I could see what it is one of their more popular dishes. Chops ordered the gyro pizza (In which he actually said "J-EYE-row" and not "Year-row"). Since this pizza wasn't truly traditional (nor is most pizzas here in the United States), I rate it differently compared to eating crostata or torta from Italy, the traditional Italian food that pizza possibly originates from. If you ever eaten a gyro, all the basic flavors are in this pizza and they are delicious. It blends well on a pizza dough in a way that a Greek pita is replaced. If their nontraditional flavor is this good, I wonder how the others stack up. Actually, I wonder if they actually correctly use pineapple on pizza too. As for other details about Times Square Pizza, it has a trattoria kind of feel mostly with indoor seating but some outdoor seating as well. They serve a selection of alcoholic beverages specialized from Italy especially an Italian beer (sorry, could not remember the brand). Finally, staff was friendly and helpful and the restroom (at least the men's restroom) was clean. Overall, a great initial visit to the pizza place that suddenly caught my eye when I was out and about during the opening day for The Sweet Heartists, Times Square Pizza's neighboring business in the same plaza. If I come back and Times Square Pizza remains consistent with the excellent service and delicious food they provided, they will earn their fifth star. If I say Time Square Pizza in Suntree is the new #1 pizza joint in the county, you can "take dat to da bank." Kim is our service professional today. She is the one you encounter who has been working the job for 40 years and lets you know it. She would appear to hate her work and comes off as plain miserable. This is just another example of why I won't rate the service. The service has nothing to do with what kind of food emanates from the kitchen. Sure, it can affect one's dining experience, but certainly not one's taste buds. I put in an order for the Mac & Cheese pizza and an order of Buffalo-style wings. From the ground up, this is an amazing slice o' pie. The crust is made from soft, flavorful fresh dough, and the macaroni & cheese is wonderfully put together to rival even the most authentic homemade mac and cheese anyone's grandma made back in the day. This stuff is like manna from on high (or wherever manna comes from). The pasta is cooked to perfection, the cheese is ooey and gooey with a bit of crunch on top as it should be. It took all my willpower to put it down and move on to the next dish. If you take a gander at the photos, you can see that the wings were cooked to perfection. What you can't see is that they had just the right amount of "oomph" to make sure your taste buds were awake. The accompanying blue cheese was your standard fare, nothing special there. But the magnificent flavoring of the wings more than made up for it. If you don't want pizza or wings but are seeking other Italian-inspired food, this is not the place you are looking for. Steve, the chef who opened this place, also personally designed the menu. This tells you that he really cares about the product that comes out of his kitchen. This is real talent in the trenches of fast/casual dining. The Big Boy says, "The pizza and wings are outstanding and 5-star all the way. Caution! The food was good, but they charged more than prices on their website. I called and the lady responded "we are updating the website". A simple "sorry", that was it. The greasiest pizza I have ever had. The crust was thick and shiny and greasy to the touch. The crust had a weird air like crispiness like some ingredient made it that way. Apparently owned by the same people who run the nice diner next door. Great pizza and appetizers. Everything is seasoned so deliciously. Had some pizza, garlic knots, and even had a sampling of wings. Definitely a place to try if you're tired of the usual corporate mass produced pizza joints, or you're in the mood for an "upscale" pizza date.
