LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS…read more A company doesn't get so many consistent one-star reviews for good service. If anyone is considering using their services, hopefully, these consistent negative reviews will help you make a decision to pick another vendor. LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS Q - What happens AT&T when you outsource and off-shore your customer service department? A - You get a lot of pissed off customers that will flock to your competitors. I am now one of them. Despicable treatment by a group of totally untrained, uneducated, incompetent L I A R S First call 10/17 - This is where I lost 51 minutes of my life trying to explain an issue to their incoherent representatives. First Eileen who was totally useless. Then her 'supervisor', Jasmine who guaranteed me I would receive an email from someone on their tech team within 72 hours, Ticket #1-236907879796R2. It sounded far-fetched, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. 10/24 - As anticipated, no response. Called again and spoke with Sierra who again, was of no use. I asked to AGAIN speak with a supervisor. After waiting for 1 hour 27 minutes (stupid me) with her coming back on the line every so often to assure me that the supervisor was coming, she disconnected the call. I guess that was her way of letting me know that a supervisor wouldn't be coming after all. Right back at you AT&T/DirectTV. Tomorrow, it's my turn and I will be one to hit the disconnect button and terminate your services.

Then when you call customer service you'll want to pull your hair out with the outsourced individuals you speak with. There is so much background noise that they cannot hear you and I've been hung up on several times. I will switch and never return to this joke of a company!

I feel like not enough people are talking about this company. And if they are, they can't seem to…read moreseparate them from their former namesake. I mean, if you're a customer, then it should be fairly obvious that Spectrum and Time Warner are totally NOT the same company. You see, I've lived in [and out of] El Paso over enough years to remember the abysmal days of Time Warner. Most of you know what I'm talking about. The days where cancelling service was about as pleasant as getting a root canal and about as convenient as driving your car to work with only three tires. Back when Time Warner was still a thing, my Internet service would drop its connection literally every 15 minutes at worst...to once a day at best. One time their service techs came to my property, ripped out all the wires from the ground so they could replace them with newer (faster?) lines. Guess what happened. That's right--the Internet kept dropping like clown pants on a pratfall. But then...I moved down the street to a house with better interconnectivity infrastructure. And then...Time Warner was ancient history like yesterday's garbage. Next thing we know, in walks Spectrum like John Wick tearing it up at a nightclub full of gangsters about to get slayed. Near as I can figure, the game changed tremendously once Spectrum took over. From much more open communication with tech support, to tighter ETAs for scheduled house installations, to more frequently upgraded (not to mention functional) hardware, to simply...ya know....operating like a STEADY ISP!! For the most part. See, Spectrum is not perfect. No ISP ever is or will be. We still experience random disconnections. But they are few and far between. My only real complaint with that is how their new router and modem configuration causes the resetting process to take well over 6 to 10 minutes to reconnect. Now, that may not sound like a long time. But imagine waiting that long for the service to return as you're waiting for the rest of "My 600 Pound Life" to finish buffering. *Disclaimer: I do NOT watch 600lb Life, guys; my wife does. I just wanted to use a reference more folks could relate to. Oh, but what of the main headquarters, you ask? Well, it's quite efficient, actually. Not much to say, except for the fact that they are doing well to adhere to COVID standards. More interestingly, they have greatly simplified and reduced the wait times in the lobby with a digital sign-in service. Customers are called up by name in the order they signed in and the few times I've had to come here to return equipment, the lobby is never crowded. This place hasn't been reviewed in over 4 months and most of the one star reviews date back to 2019. I really don't know what these other blokes are on about. And I realize ISP experiences vary from customer to customer. But as for me, I'm sufficed to give Spectrum 4 mostly steady Internet connections with minimal downtime out of 5. They ain't perfect. But it sure beats the hell out of expensive satellite service with monthly data caps.
