I went in to purchase a radio for my boat, whose USB port had stopped functioning. I purchased a…read morestereo which they claimed had a $50 discount; only to find out I could have bought that identical radio for less on Amazon at regular price. The installation was a horrible. A 1/2 hour install took 2 1/2 hours. He cut and spliced, cut and spliced & cut and spliced. He clearly did not know what he was doing, and was learning on my boat. That being said, they finally got the stereo working. I could not test it there because boats have to be in the water to test the ignition. I get to the lake, and the boat would not start. Thinking it is a bad battery, I take it to a mechanic in a nearby town. After having the battery checked, the mechanic said that the battery was good and that the issue was caused by what he said looked like a bad install. He said the ground was insufficient and that the ignition wire was connected to the constant wire; which ultimately caused a fuse to pop. I now must take the boat back on Monday to have the install redone. Unfortunately, my fishing trip was ruined by their unprofessional installation. I would also like to add that the manager was not friendly. When I mentioned that maybe someone else should do the install, he ignored my request even though the installer had told him he was struggling. He told the installer to figure it out, and provided no assistance.

If you're a DIY'er this is a great place to purchase gear, but I can't recommend their installers!…read more I've been into car audio my entire adult life (30+ years). Sense back in the day when these "top of the line" brands were "Made in the USA". I spent more time at "Car-Tunes" "Sound Quest" and "Music Systems" than I spent in school. Anyway... I know a little bit about car audio. Because of my passion for car audio, I wanted to love these guys, but I just can't.... They're nice guys, carry some decent brands, have reasonable prices, and talk a good game; but at the end of the day, they under perform and under deliver where it counts... installs. First, I purchased what was supposed to be a "high end" window tint job (their most expensive ceramic film). It was the most expensive and worst window tint job I've ever had. There were several details that went unnoticed (or ignored) by the installer; defects in the film, debris between the film and glass, bubbles, etc..., and they made a mess of my car, which had just been detailed. They kept the car for two days, and when I picked it up I couldn't even properly examine the windows because they were filthy, inside and out. The manager has promised to make it right, "when he gets a new window tinter". Apparently, he did my car on his last days of work here, which is probably why he did such shitty work. We'll see what happens. Despite everything, I decided to give them more business, this time car audio, and had them install a set of component speakers. Again they kept my car for 2 days, and to top it off, as I drove home, I notices an "engine whine" noise coming from the speakers. I didn't have this "whine" before they installed the speakers, and the speakers are not connected to an amp, they are straight off an Alpine HU. I understand car audio can be complex, and there are a lot of variables that can induce noise. It could be a loose ground on the HU, could be how/where they placed the cross-over... whatever! The point is, it didn't have this problem before they changed the speakers. They had the car for two days to install one set of component speakers, you'd think they would have tested for these issues, and corrected them. Remember, this is all these guys do, they don't sell refrigerators, home theaters, or smartphones here. They do nothing but car audio/video/security, and window tint. They're supposed to be experts! Now I'm out $100+ I paid for the install and I'll still be ripping my car apart myself to troubleshoot and fix this issue (cuz it'll drive me nuts!). I won't be taking it back to them as they don't pay attention to the details of their work, and I don't want to be without my car for another 2 days. Although I will be returning for them to make good on the botched tint job (I can't do that myself).

BUYER BEWARE OF Texas Boombox - DISHONEST PRICING & POOR WORKMANSHIP…read more **Extremely Disappointing Experience - Stay Away from Texas Boombox!** I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Texas Boombox, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. I was initially quoted **$180** by Charlie to replace my car stereo and install new speakers and an amplifier. I made it clear from the start that my car already had an aftermarket system (subwoofers, headrest TV monitors, amp, and epicenter), so there should have been no surprises. When I arrived at 11 a.m., Charlie greeted me and assured me that they would call once the job was done. However, things quickly took a strange turn when another employee, Saul, aggressively questioned the price and demanded to know who authorized the install. Charlie awkwardly replied that **he (Saul) had authorized** it, and insisted the original quote should be honored. Saul stormed off, visibly upset, and Charlie apologized for the awkwardness, telling me to go home and wait for a call. At **3 p.m.**, I received a call asking for approval to install a **$15 speaker bracket**, which I approved, thinking this would be the only price change. But then, at **5:30 p.m.**, Saul called in a rude tone, telling me my car was "almost ready" and that I needed to hurry because the shop was about to close. When I arrived (at about 5:50 p.m.), I saw they were still working on my car, but the real shock came when I went to pay. The final bill was a staggering **$531** more than double the original quote! Saul dismissed my objections, claiming the original price was too low and refusing to honor it. He then presented me with a different invoice than the one I had been given and charged me for unnecessary items I never approved, including a bypass, new cables, and **10 hours of labor** (even though the shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- you do the math). To top it off, there was also an "extra charge" for an "oversized" radio, which had never been mentioned. I asked WHY I hadn't been called to approve these additional charges, and Saul rudely insisted they were "necessary" and that I had to pay immediately because they were closing. When I requested to see my car before paying, he refused to hand me the keys. After some back and forth, he finally relented, and what I saw was infuriating: - **Cracked panels** - My center clock dash panel and master window switch panel were damaged. - **Non-functional features** - The phone function on the new stereo didn't work, the **reverse camera and headrest monitors** were no longer working, and they left the microphone harness on the floor instead of installing it. - **A filthy interior** - My car was returned to me a mess. Charlie, the person who originally quoted me, was nowhere to be found, and Saul simply dismissed my concerns, claiming that all the employees had gone home. I was left with a **damaged car**, missing functionality, and a **ridiculous bill** for work I didn't approve. I left the shop with the understanding that I would get a call from the owner to try and resolve the issue. The only call I received was from Charlie the next day. He was very embarrassed and apologized profusely when I told him about the damage and non-functioning features and sent him pictures. However, it has now been almost a week, and I'm still waiting for a call from the owner or anyone at the shop to address the situation. Texas Boombox is DISHONEST, UNPROFESSIONAL, and COMPLETELY UNETHICAL. If you value your time, money, and car, STAY FAR AWAY!

Never have tried any I their audio or wheels services. So my stars have nothing to do with that…read more But I have been twice to get the car washed and cleaned.. Inside and out. Dudes do a crazy good job. I'm very impressed. I'm a dude that likes to have his car very clean at all times, but never have the time or freakin quarters to do it myself. I drop my car off here usually around lunch and always it's ready to pick up by COB. The price I've been charged both times was $50. But the quality of work that was done, it's well worth it. Outside was hand washed and hand dried. Tires shined like they were still wet. Windows; not a smudge on them. Interior was thoroughly vacuumed and dusted. Then lightly armor-all'd. You know, enough so that it looked clean and shiny, but not so much that I'm wearing the armor all for a week lol. Their inventory looks huge as far as wheels and car stereo equipment goes... But I'm not in that market.. I already got a aftermarket head unit, Bluetooth phone thing, all speakers (stock) replaced with aftermarket kenwood, sub/amp in the back... So I'm good... But what I don't have, is a clean care because El Paso dirties your car like daily.. So these dudes hook it up. And I love it. Stop messing around with drive through washes and stop putting fancy rims on some sedan and driving around like it ain't been washed since you bought it used back in 2009.... Go to this place, and get it cleaned and looking right. Then you can park at the front of the club this weekend for NYE instead of the side lot... Das it Mayne
