I had a wonderful experience at TIme Masters. I needed a few links removed, came to Yelp to see who was rated well in my area, and found TIme Masters. I went in yesterday, showed the gentlemen my watch, he determined how many links needed to be removed, and removed them. I paid my eight dollars and was in and out in less than ten minutes. I found him to be courteous (he greeted me upon entry and asked how I was) and respectful of me as a customer. I will definitely be taking my watch to him for any further issues. read more

My kitties chewed the hands off a cuckoo clock and I had no idea how or if it could be fixed. The little bird would still pop out hourly but I would not know the time. In under 15 min, the hands were replaced and I walked out with a smile and a working clock. I will be back with my watches. Great prices and good people watching on Solano Ave. read more

This gentleman is the watch maestro. This place cannot be beat for excellent service and superb repairs, battery replacement, and watch cleaning. Highly recommend. read more

Fast service, good price. Was in and out in 5 minutes with a new battery in my watch.

Went to this place. The band on my watch had broken, I brought the band because it was a specialty band from the manufacturer and he installed it quickly and for less than I wanted to pay. I will be returning here. He was working on a really cool clock when I came in, so if you have really complicated clocks/watches he's got the skills to fix it. read more

I went to this store to replace the battery for two watches. I was expecting it would take at least 30 min, but he replaced them in less than 5 min. The guy is really professional and knows what he is doing! In addition to this quick service, the price is very reasonable. I paid about $18 for two watches. Overall, this place is GREAT!!! read more

Quick, affordable, easy. Got 3 watch batteries replaced in under 10 minutes for under $30. Nice guy, not overly talkative. Now that's just what I want in a watch battery replacement experience. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and will come back for any clock or watch needs. read more

This guy was great. I need to have a metal watch band shortened. I was in and out in 5 minutes and it only cost $8. Very nice guy, too.

I had a new battery put in, and a couple links taken off a Swiss Army watch, and the owner was a nice guy, and seemed honest. It was a good price, and didn't take long once he got to me. And, there were some pretty cool pocket watches on display to keep me busy while I waited. read more

This guy is so efficient and good at fixing watches or just putting a battery in or whatever. You won't be disappointed. I've taken several watches to him and he's fixed them all! read more

My girlfriend dropped off a clock there months ago. After hearing nothing from him, she went by and showed her ticket. He said he didn't know if it was a table clock or a wall clock. She replied, it's been so long, I don't know myself." He took it from the shelf and handed it to her, and turned to another customer. In 4 months, he'd never touched it. He just likes people fawning over him, likes to put on a gruff act. He's all show, great at replacing batteries, big deal. read more

This is my first yelp review but the guy at Time Masters is great! Found the place because of it's excellent yelp reviews. Went in with two watch batteries needing replacing and was out in 5 or 10 minutes. read more

We had our grandfather clock fixed by Time Masters about a year ago, an expensive fix at $350.00 and then it just stopped working. I called Izik the owner and he came by within a few days and found the problem and it was fixed. He did not charge for this second call which was great. It's now been running for a couple of weeks and we hope it will stay that way. I was very happy with the service as he could have tried to charge us again but didn't so I give him 5 stars for customer service. I have a watch which needs fixing so I plan to take it to Izik for repair. read more

I just had a battery changed here so really didn't do any shopping or price checking, but the owner was really nice and he had me taken care of in about five minutes. I like shopping at locally owned places where you get good service and a smile, and this is one of those places!! read more

Very neat place with old fashioned clocks. I got a simple battery replacement. I took just 5 minutes!

I had taken my old movado watch in for battery changes for years to another place where they said they had to "send it off to the manufacturer" because it was "so delicate." I didn't argue because at that time I was really busy, and I paid the price, because they charged a lot. Then they went out of business and I found Time Masters in Albany on Solano. Mr. Izik laughed when I told him this, and he replaced the battery in under three minutes! I'm really relieved because I'm a little old lady and I don't want to be digging my iPhone out to see the time. read more

Great experience today! I went in to get a battery changed on a waterproof watch. Lots of gears and vintage cuckoo clocks to look at while I waited. And he reset my watch to the correct time as a courtesy! I would definitely go back, this guy knows what he's doing. read more

I have the utmost empathy for anyone having a bad day, unless you're in a business that services the public. What a jerk! I walk in and ask for a watch battery replacement, his comment; "is that it?" WTF? I may ONLY need a battery today, but my total experience will certainly decide weather I return for anything more...NOT. With the retail atmosphere as it is, such short sightedness is like shooting yourself about 3 feet above your foot towards the fleshy side. NEVERMORE. read more

Walked in for battery replacement and band adjustment for a second watch. Walked out in less than 10 minutes. Total cost under $15. The owner is a no-nonsense kind of person. Polite, efficient and a great value. What else could you want from a watch repair place? read more

Exactly what I wanted - super fast & effective service at a very reasonable price. Perfect.

I gave the repairman my grandfather clock to repair the chime. He instead decided to replace the working clock spring and took the original spring for himself. Now the clock stopped working as before (had to be wound every week instead of the original 3 weeks) and the chime still did not work correctly. The original spring was unique and could not be bought anywhere, and he decided to keep this spring and when I asked for it he said he threw it away. After another trip to his store the chime still did not work properly and the original time function does not work as well (I need to wind the clock every 10-14 days (unstable!) instead of the original three weeks). When I try to contact the man and tell him my problem he was very rude and told me not to bother him. He told me that if I wanted my money back I needed to give him my clock for him to keep! read more

Still a nice guy. For the size change, it was $8 today. I guess the price went up since 1.5 year a go. I may start taking my watch to China town.... read more

Walked right in and handed my watch over and immediately got to work on replacing the pin that had fallen out. Quick work!

Great service! The guy who runs the place is super sweet. Got my battery on my watch replaced quickly and under $10. Hard to beat!

Bomb diggity! He's great! At times will do it whilst you wait, and always very honest, upfront, and clear. Gives great deals. A groser Mensch! read more

I was looking to size an old watch and to get a new battery in another one and they had been on my "to do" list for far too long, ok I'll admit it was a couple of years. I had no idea where to go so I Yelped it. Thanks Yelpers. Quick painless and VERY reasonably prices, he even made me laugh. This is a great place and highly recommended for sizing and batteries. read more

On and out in under 10 minutes, including the time spent for him to finish helping the guest in front of me. Battery swapped out, watch is working like new again. read more

BEWARE!!! UNETHICAL BUSINESS!!! I took my 80 year Art Deco clock in to be prepared. When I went to pick it up the entire front (art deco decoration) was gone. Sure, the clock works but, the front of the clock is missing. I owner lied and said that was how he received the clock. TIme Masters is UNETHICAL!!!! PLEASE BEWARE!!!! read more

I brought in two watches to get batteries replaced. It took about 5 minutes total, and was only $19.44! I don't know another places that gives such prompt service for such a low price. He also changed the batteries in front of me, and was very careful with both the watches (a cheap one and expensive one). I will be back again the next time I need a battery change. read more

Have you ever thought of having a clockwork clock that chimes the hours? If not, why not? If so, this is the place to find the one that will delight you and your children and grandchildren; maybe their kids too; or to have the one you inherited from your Aunt Sadie repaired and working again. I have had my Seiko watch for years and every time I've had the battery replaced, I was told that it would no longer be "water resistant" once the back was removed. I went to Time Masters last week for a new watch battery and was told that it wasn't water resistant because it was missing its washer. He replaced it and the battery, and cleaned and lubed the interior for about $13. This man is a truly professional watch/clock person. I will return to him and only to him in the future. read more

Look no further. Best place in the East Bay. This is the place for any device that tracks time. Old clocks, mechanical clocks, cuckoo clocks--the magic touch is here. I brought my cuckoo clock here. He touched it and it begin to work fine in 2 minutes. He also has some beautiful wall, floor and mantle clocks for sale nd antique clocks. He can also change the batteries for watches for a very economical price read more

Stumbled upon this place by accident...I usually go to Oaks Jewelers on Solano for all watch repair needs but they were closed that day....Went on Google to see if any other watch repair businesses were open nearby on a Monday and found Time Masters on Yelp....Drove to the place but could not find it after 30 minutes of driving up and down Solano Ave. I decided it wasn't meant to be and went back to Oaks the following day to have them try to fix a broken ceramic link to repair the bracelet of my watch. I received a call a few days later and they were not able to fix the watch since they said the link that broke was adjacent to the watch body and was unrepairable....I was devastated, this was a very expensive watch which was now useless to me....I thought I would take my chance and try to find Time Masters again...I later discovered he relocated a few stores down, went in to find an elderly gentleman who examined my watch very carefully and explained everything in detail what he was going to attempt to do to fix it, step by step....The owner/repairman is a GENIUS, I REPEAT, A GENIUS AND MASTER OF HIS CRAFT!!!...I was worried he would not be able to fix my watch but I received a message the very next day expecting bad news, but instead, he informed me "your watch is fixed, please pick it up anytime".....I was absolutely in disbelief and ecstatic at the same time...I rushed over to his shop and felt like jumping over the counter to hug and kiss Mr. "time master" but didn't want him to think I was some weirdo....he can do ANY work that other places claim are non-repairable. I will be going to him from now on!!!! read more

I took my watch here to be fixed because the hour markers fell off inside the face. The owner said it was not worth his time to fix and told me to go elsewhere. He was incredibly rude and I'm not sure why he thinks that it's not worth his time to have a paying customer but needless to say I would give this establishment 0 stars if possible read more

I walked in to ask about getting an old clock repaired. The guy was really snarky, wouldn't give straight answers to basic questions (example: "I've got an older clock that's not working, can you fix it? " answer "how would I know? " I walked out puzzled, and resolved never to go back. read more

Excellent service, fast and very good price, changed battery of my watch in less that 5 minutes, open on Mondays.

I went to time masters because I got a new watch and needed some links removed so it would fit my wrist properly.I thought I'd give him a shot since he is a small business. He looked at me in a rude arrogant way When I asked him to use his little tool to remove links. He than said I will charge you $8.00. I replied seriously?! I remember I went to oaks jewelry up the street and they are super nice and have removed links for me for free of no charge and also have cleaned a diamond ring that I didn't even purchase from the store! And this arrogant asshole wants to charge me $8.00.?! He is a true scam artist and totally rude. I see how he makes money by ripping every customer off and staying in business. Do not go to this place to support oaks jewelry up the street! read more

Took my watch in today because it had some excess water in it from my 2 year old son dropping it in the water on vacation. He asks me why I didn't bring it in earlier. I explain my situation (no watch companies in the resort town in Mexico). He then proceeds to lecture me about 'don't you know that after 24 hours water will cause the metal to rust'. You don't say?! Would never thought of that being a science teacher and all. What a rude set of questions?! Took my business elsewhere. read more

Quick and easy watch battery change. The owner is friendly and very funny (so when you ask if he can do something and he replies "how should I know?" it's a joke). He has a nice selection of vintage watches (though the stock seems to veer more towards daily-wearing variety than to rare collectibles), and the shop is in parking-friendly Albany! read more

He did a great job repairing my self-winding watch and was very upfront about the costs and wasn't aggressive about the interaction. He said if he could fix it , the cost would be this, but if he couldn't then no cost and suggested it was up to me. He didn't promise rainbows. I appreciate that plus he was able to fix the watch. The folks who complained about This gentleman said he was rude. Sometimes he may be less chatty but I am from the east coast and don't expect everyone to have a fake smile on their face. Again, being honest is more important. I just dropped off my stopwatch for him to repair as well. read more
