Today I visited Timberline Molding to purchase materials. I wasn't familiar with the correct way to ask for the measurements, so I asked for help. Instead of being patient, the employee immediately became irritated, spoke to me in a very disrespectful tone, and continued treating me poorly even after I apologized and explained that this isn't something I buy often. I even told him, "You're the expert, that's why I'm asking." As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy, especially when I'm asking for guidance. The way I was spoken to made me feel unwelcome and discriminated against. I hope Timberline Molding takes customer service seriously and addresses this, because no one should be made to feel this way when asking for help. read more

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at this establishment, and I feel compelled to express my extreme dissatisfaction with their customer service. The incident unfolded when I arrived at the store, assuming it would be open until the stated closing time of 2pm. I arrived to find the door open. The lady working there appeared to have no regard for customer satisfaction. She shut the door in my face as I approached saying we were closed. I said the sign on the door says open until 2pm. She said no, we're closed. Not only did this employee lie to me by claiming they were closed, but she also rudely closed the door in my face without any explanation or apology. It was evident that she had other plans for her Saturday and prioritized them over serving customers. The most disheartening aspect of this entire ordeal was the complete lack of emotion displayed by the employee as she nonchalantly walked past me. What adds insult to injury is that I had been recommended this establishment by two reputable contractors. I trusted their judgment and assumed I would receive quality service. However, this experience has shattered any confidence I had in this place. I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessionalism and lack of respect shown towards customers. I intend to share my horrendous experience with each of the contractors who recommended this establishment to me. It is only fair that they are aware of the poor treatment I received after relying on their endorsement. Furthermore, I will make sure to warn everyone I know about the abysmal customer service and advise them never to consider this place for their needs. This establishment's blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, coupled with their dishonesty and disrespect, has left a lasting negative impression on me. Needed a specific depth for moulding around doors in our house and they had it - but I will not be back. When checking out at the register, store had a pile of "Let's Go Brandon" stickers sitting on the counter. It you are going to politicize your business then I will take my business elsewhere. As a business owner it is their right to display their political views, but why would you? As a customer I really don't want to know ownership's politics. The baseboards we bought are fine. We wish they had more designs, and I can't tell you if the price was in line with what we got or not, only because I've never bought baseboards before (and hopefully, never will again!) They were helpful when we were making our decisions, and they were kind enough to lend us some samples to take home. My issue with Timberline starts with another Yelper's review. We read that someone got help tying up their baseboards to their car. Not only did we NOT get any help, but the guy who put them onto our truck demanded that I move my truck off their lot so he could close the gate behind us (OK, it was the end of the day, but it wasn't 4:30 yet) and it was very impersonal the way that he bullied us off the lot. We asked in the office and were told by several people that helping tie down the baseboards was "not policy" regardless of the fact that I mentioned another Yelper's experience. We weren't demanding it or anything, but I was surprised that they were clearly not interested in helping us regardless of our pleas. If what the other Yelper said is true, then it would seem that Timberline discriminates with their assistance. We had plenty of ropes and a more than enough room to work with while affixing the baseboards to our truck, but I've never done this before, and it would have been nice to have been given the courtesy of assistance. Since we were right outside their gate at closing time, several of their employees WALKED RIGHT BY US without uttering a word, regardless of our obvious struggles. All but one of them wouldn't even look up at us. One guy said "Thank you for your business" and all I could do was stare blankly at him as he walked by. Their knowledge of the product seems fair, and I think we'll be happy with the design we chose, but would I recommend them? Maybe I'll have my fiance go alone next...in a short skirt. read more

I just moved into an old house that needs a lot of work. I was referred to this place by several contractors that were helping us with jobs that were too big for me. (My wife and I banged out the baseboards in our home with some help from YouTube videos.) Selection was great, prices are fantastic, and the guys are very nice. Don't go in expecting some fancy showroom - they've got their inventory up on racks, and you need to know what you're looking for. As an amateur handyman, I felt comfortable, but if you don't know which end of a hammer to hold, this isn't the place for you. I recommend 100% - no reservations whatsoever. read more

I took thier advice and I've used timberline on several occasions and they did not disappoint me! They always have an extensive selection of baseboard, crown moulding and other types of wood trims. I dealt with "Ed" and he's very friendly and helpful. When paying, they offered to send me a bill to my email which is helpful when your trying to track expenses or for tax purposes. Buyer Beware! After purchasing a bunch of material for a project, I stopped in for a few pieces of trim. They didn't have exactly what we needed, but I purchased anyway as they said there would be no problem to return it. When my wife returned the next day to return they insisted on charging a 25% restock fee - even after reiterating several times what we had been told. The restock fee was only a few dollars, but C'mon...this is bad business when they specifically tell you no problem to return. Needless to say, we won't be back.... read more

Ok, if you're looking for excellent customer service, don't come here. Have your measurements, know what you want, and be ready to get down to business; no one will hold your hand. But the selection is great, and the pricing is even better; as much as half the price of Home Depot and many, many more options. You are limited to buying one length, though, which is usually about 16 ft, so plan accordingly. They will cut it for you so it fits in your car, but they won't help you load (Again, not excellent customer service). Consider them a wholesaler who can get public buyers contractor prices...that's what we like, so we were pleased and intend to return. read more

I have recently remodeled several houses that included new baseboards, crown molding and door casing. This place has everything you need or want at the best price around. They gladly provide samples to to take out, will cut the material so it fits in your car, and always ask if they can help loading. The contractors I used all go to Timberline. I asked the friendly guys at Timberline if they knew of a good baseboard installer a couple of weeks ago. They gave me the business card of Clay Cole of Trimworks. This guy is terrific. My husband took a sample of our moulding that was previously bought at Timberline. Contractor came this morning to paint and install. He noticed the moulding was not the same size, it was the same moulding but not 5" so we and the contractor lost today's work. I wasn't going to say anything but now I will since this is the second mistake Timberline has made. We ordered a bi-fold door for our closet, we were ask if we had a 4 or 6 pane, I wasn't sure what that meant so I was shown pictures. I said its that one the 6. They ordered the door it was in a box, again contractor opened painted and installed, nobody noticed that it was a 4 until after the fact. Well actually the contractor just puts in what we give him. Timberline why don't you check what's going out the door so customers don't have these headaches or have to pay contractors for their time and work doesn't get done due to your errors. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have just had to walk out of the store after the employees went out of their way to be rude. I never leave reviews and generally am happy and see the best in things but this experience was so bad that I felt I needed to warn others and hopefully the management so they can solve this issue. I was referred here by several contractors as I am building a new house and need baseboard, crown, and doors/jambs. First I sat at the front for about 10 minutes while the receptionist and another employee completely ignored us and would glare at us for awhile and then go about answering phones and literally standing there turning there back doing nothing so they wouldn't need to help. Then I saw another employee and asked if I should just walk around or how the process typically works, as I saw there were different brands etc and I needed some expertise. He snapped back with a rude remark and basically said do what you want, arms crossed and glaring as well. I proceeded to try to explain how we are building a 5600 sqft house and I will need base, moulding, and doors. To which he replied, 5600 sqft of moulding is a 3-4 story building and he doubts I need that much. He knew what I meant, but clearly was just trying to be rude, all the while staring me down. All the employees went out of their way to be extremely rude and unhelpful. They have definitely lost any sale from me, my sister is building a house as well and they will be losing her sale, I have spoken to all the contractors who have recommended them to me and explained the situation and they will not be referring sales there as well, and my husband is an officer of a huge construction development company and I will be talking to the purchasers to make sure they never purchase anything from here again. Please I urge all customers to find another store and avoid being treated this way, and help them understand how to treat others. read more

I've never written a review, but just recently, 2 guys (Russ) helped me out big time, with a contractor issue, and they really exceeded my expectations with all of their advice.
