a variety of donuts in a display case
Sarah G.

Oh how we have missed Timmy Ho's. (We used to live about 1.5hrs from the Canadian border in NY and had about a dozen+ Tim Hortons located around our city.) We have been SO EXCITED to hear that our beloved Canadian coffee shop was coming all the way down to Houston, TX. We finally got a chance to come visit! We weren't in love with the location of this shop. Despite being on Westheimer, this area looked a bit sketch. The shop was smaller than the ones back home but it is crisp, clean and new. There were a handful of 2-top tables, a few 4-tops and one epic 6-person table which had a hockey rink design on it. Music was a *touch* loud for us. The menu seemed to be a bit more limited than back home but we were excited to try some of our favs: 20pc Timbits (donut holes), a Vanilla cream donut, a Boston Cream, 2 vanilla dipped and we got 2 decaf coffees (because we're lame and can't drink caffeine after a certain time or we can't sleep.) The donuts were amazing, fresh and decadent. (Another reviewer mentioned Shipley's being better... maybe we got a bad batch at Shipley's but theirs were old, dry and crumbly. We'd be willing to give them another try but in our opinion, Timmy's donuts are the bomb.) The Timbits were a bit different as well. It appears they only have 3 flavors: birthday cake, honey dipped and chocolate. Back home there was more variety of TimBits. Nonetheless, they were all gobbled up. The coffee wasn't the greatest unfortunately. I was a bit worried when the guy said they didn't have enough decaf for us and we'd have to wait a bit for them to brew more. NBD. BUT- I believe he gave us the stale old burnt decaf and topped it off with the freshly brewed coffee... ugh. I wish they just gave us the fresh coffee only. BUT, we will plan to come back earlier in the day next time and get the regular brew. The workers weren't overly helpful or knowledgeable but maybe they're new?? The first guy I talked to couldn't answer a question I asked and a girl I talked to later couldn't help me with the app. (Luckily, I was able to get app support via the app and I got my points applied to my account.) Cost-wise... well, this little donut and coffee stop ran us nearly $20. Yikes! It was $18-something. BUT we don't do this much AND this was a nice treat that reminded us of home. We'll be back! I'd love to change the 4-star to a 5.

Fast and friendly service, ordered a iced caramel macchiato and a small coffee black with a blueberry muffin. Everything was fresh and good! I went thru the drive thru both times and I can say it is spacious and welcoming. I like the patio area and the see you tomorrow sign at the end of the drive thru. Prices are way more reasonable than Starbucks and you can gain points with their app as well. I will download the app and start collecting points as I go. Bye for now!

If you go here expecting a Michelin star restaurant, you'll be wildly disappointed.... As this is just a better quality fast food establishment.... But if you go for the Tim Hortons experience you're used to in other areas, you'll get what you came for! My breakfast was just what I wanted and I was able to grab a bag of coffee for later ($7.99). Service was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was very open and felt clean. Not too busy when I stopped in on a Monday around 11am, and I was grateful a fellow Tim's lover was out front to grab a pic for me at the photo op! Parking lot was easy to get in and out of, and my visit made me miss Canada just a bit more!

We came all the way from Dallas to visit one of 2 Tim Hortons that exists in Texas and the restaurant totally reminds us what we missed about Canada. Tim Hortons is the staple restauarant of Canada and its enjoyed by many Canadians. For breakfast, we ordered a medium 'regular', a ice capp coconut and 2 breakfast sandwiches, one with sausage another with bacon, both with egg. we also ordered 20 timbits however they only had a choice of 3 flavors, chocolate glazed, honey dip and old fashioned glazed. They need more varieties of their timbits. All of it tasted great. We like the litte touches like the mural and the 'Tims' sign which one has to stand there to represent the 'I'. None of the Tim Hortons restaurants in Canada has this sign or the mural. This is more of a breakfast restaurant and is best to visit before noon, else the food may not taste fresh. We came there around 10am.

Tim Hortons, originally from Canada, is the shining star with a big reputation for serving the best coffee along with breakfast, lunch & dinner (available only in Canada, as of now), baked goods and merchandise. This particular location in Houston was recently opened and I've been fairly regular at this place. It's competing with the likes of Starbucks and Dunkin's around town. I've had their regular hot coffee, mocha and the renowned french vanilla. For breakfast, I've tried the sausage, egg & cheese along with hash browns. These are all strictly drive thru orders since I've not had the chance to visit in store. Coffee, donuts and breakfast, they got you covered. Comparing Tim's to Starbucks, Tim's obviously is cheaper, but that doesn't necessarily translate to being better. The coffee is good but the food is a bit disappointing. The french vanilla was fantastic, but the croissant was surprisingly salty to taste and the hash-browns are these one big piece; if you compare this to Dunkin's hash-browns, it is subpar and lacks that yum factor that the Dunkin present. Tim's, at least this store, has a long way to de-throne the other coffee brands around as the best in class. I haven't tried the donuts and other baked goods so no comments there. Tim Hortons has opened their doors in Texas, and in particular, Houston. Their coffee is good but the food is a little lackluster. This is still fairly a new store so changes and updates might be scheduled down the road to improve the current offerings.

Nostalgia for time spent in Canada! Tim Hortons has opened 2 Houston area locations (and yes I went to both within the first 2 weeks of their openings ). It is so exciting to have an Iced Capp and TimBits in TX! Both just as delicious as I remember. The selection of TimBits is limited to the top 4 flavors still, but the staff assured me plans are to expand. Also, interestingly there is an Oreo Iced Capp! That was new to me - but the Caramel still has my heart and tastebuds The locations are both well designed with the huge T_MS signs out front providing great 'gram material and free advertising.

Disappointed. After waiting for months for the place to open, it finally does and I can't wait to try them out. First visit, nice shiny new drive-thru, friendly employees , pastries.... so-so. There are so many good reviews, so perhaps I picked the wrong date or time to go? They had just opened after all. I decided I would try again later and today I did with the same disappointing results. Granted, the latte was good but the apple fritter and the donuts were anything but fresh. I have never visited another Tim Hortons so I can't compare. Is this really as good as it gets here? I'll pass.

Bacon egg and cheese biscuit sandwich

So I've never eaten inside but have gone through the drive thru and it's always been fast even in the morning. I usually just get donuts but most of the time they are out of the honey one which is like a classic glazed donut and is my favorite so that's always disappointing. Today was my first time trying one of the breakfast sandwiches and I ordered the bacon egg biscuit but it wasn't great at all, the biscuit was crumbly, bacon wasn't crispy at all, almost undercooked and the egg was not mixed it was so gross the inside was like a boiled egg yolk, only plus side was it looks like they use real eggs. Nevertheless I will be back for donuts when they have them but not for any breakfast sandwiches!

This was the best loved it.

I understood they were having power issues and were operating on a generator. Their tablet system appeared to be working, as I could see my order while placing it. I was making a large order for my coworkers and needed an itemized receipt. When I asked for one, I was told they couldn't provide it due to the power outage. I then asked if they could pull up my order on the tablet so I could take a photo of it, and I was told "yes, one second." However, after my order was ready and I followed up, the staff member seemed irritated and repeated that they couldn't provide a receipt because of the power issue. I clarified that I only needed to take a picture of the order on the screen, which I thought we had already agreed on. I also didn't realize that every add-on they offer comes with an extra charge. For example, when asked what kind of milk I wanted, it wasn't mentioned that 2% milk (which is typically the default) had an upcharge. Additionally, when a soft top was offered for an iced drink, it wasn't disclosed that it was a $1.50 extra charge. This was frustrating, as these add-ons were suggested by staff without clarifying the additional cost. While the issue was eventually resolved, I left feeling unhappy with the overall experience. I did return once afterward, but between the inconsistent beverages and the lack of transparency around pricing, I don't think I'll be coming back.

I was recovering from a cold so I decided to order a hot herbal tea and was happy to see that they had such a huge selection of loose leaf teas to choose from. My friend also got one of their lattes and we couldn't resist getting a tiramisu before leaving. Overall, we liked everything and I think this place is worth a visit for that Kafeina latte. - Kafeina Latte (4/5): The lady told us that this latte was half white chocolate and half pistachio and we could definitely tastes both flavors. I really liked how they put a lot of pistachio pieces in the drink, giving it a crunchy texture. This drink is definitely on the sweeter side though, so keep that in mind. - Nutty Almond Cream Cinnamon Herbal Tea (4/5): I was very happy with the flavor of this tea. Like the name suggest, it tasted very almond-y and had a good amount of cinnamon flavored. There was also a tangy fruity flavor that followed and reminded me of spiced cider. - Tiramisu (4.5/5): I was really impressed with their tiramisu. The mascarpone layer was very nice and custardy, yet felt so light and refreshing. I also loved how strong the coffee flavor was which helped balance out the dessert and made it not too sweet. Service/Ambiance: Upon entering, I was really surprised by how pretty the interior was with the mixture of gold and wood. I'm not sure how pack this place usually gets because I came at an off time ( like 1 pm), but they had a good amount of tables and seating available. I did see a handful of people studying, so I think this would be a good quiet study spot.

What a great find though! I wish it was closer to us so I could come back more often! I ordered our drinks and food online so it was ready by the time we got there about 15 minutes later. There was a $1.99 processing fee though that I wasn't aware of until I saw the receipt. But maybe I just missed the fine print somewhere when ordering. The place seemed really cute and clean, and the customer service was great! They even had these adorable, mini claw games! POPCORN CHICKEN (GARLIC BUTTER SALT): Wow! I was not expecting the popcorn chicken to be that good or that large of a serving! It was more than tapioca places usually give, but it was also a little more expensive at $7.75. They have a few flavor options in addition to being a larger portion though, and included ranch in the box without an extra charge. I think one order shared between two people would be enough if you're also getting drinks. I highly recommend the garlic butter salt flavor btw. The chicken pieces were large, super moist, and bursting with flavor! I hope to come back to get it again one day. The menu in the store doesn't mention that the house coffees are Vietnamese iced coffees, but they do online. CREME BRÛLÉE HOUSE COFFEE: This was great! Strong Vietnamese coffee flavor, but also sweet from the creme brûlée topping! I personally liked this better than the pandan because the creme brûlée flavor was more noticeable and sweet. It was also thicker in consistency than the pandan when we tried to stir it in. PANDAN HOUSE COFFEE: This was good! My bf really liked it and he usually doesn't care for pandan. I thought it was more mild because the coffee flavor was stronger than it. I personally needed more sweetness, but definitely good for the strong coffee lovers. The coffee also had a good, strong Vietnamese iced coffee flavor. HONEY BOBA: The only thing I didn't care for was the boba. They were smaller than normal, somewhere between normal-sized and baby boba. They were also shaped irregularly, not perfect balls. Never experienced that before. The flavor was good and sweet, but it also started getting hard a lot faster than it should've. I'm assuming it wasn't fresh and was sitting out for a while. I would give them another chance though, just in case this was just a bad batch. This is a great place to get drinks and snacks! I hope they do well and the community appreciates the gem that it is!

The kanafa was perfectly baked golden and crisp on the outside, with a rich, soft cheese center that pulled beautifully with every cut. The balance of sweetness was spot on, soaked just enough in syrup without being overpowering. Every bite was indulgent yet light, and it tasted just like traditional homemade kanafa. It was a hit with everyone, from adults to kids, and disappeared quickly from the table. We stopped by the FM 1960 location, and while it sits in a small, somewhat worn shopping strip, don't let that fool you. The real charm starts the moment you walk through the door. Inside, we were immediately struck by the gold décor and a stunning display of beautifully trimmed serving ware for sale. One wall features a mesmerizing mural of a pair of eyes--perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. The shop is packed with sweet treats from around the world. There's even a section with individually wrapped mini chocolates labeled with messages like "Happy Birthday" and "Congratulations," along with prepackaged dessert trays for baby showers and other special occasions. As we explored further, we found a wide selection of nuts and pre-made sweets--honestly, we were surprised by just how many goodies there were to choose from. Now, onto what we tried. The pistachio halva wasn't very sweet; the pistachio flavor was the only thing that really came through. It had a soft, nougat-like texture but felt a bit bland overall. I also ordered the strawberry tres leches--one of my favorite desserts--mainly because I couldn't resist. While the presentation was beautiful (almost too pretty to eat), it lacked the sweetness you'd expect from the condensed milk. The brownie topped with Dubai chocolate also fell short in flavor, missing that rich chocolate sweetness you usually get from a good brownie. As for drinks, we tried the caramel frappuccino and the golden ice cream coffee. The frappuccino was just okay--not particularly rich or memorable. The golden ice cream coffee, though, was a standout. The blend of coffee and ice cream with a drizzle of caramel was absolutely delicious--and the lady named Ro was super sweet and helpful in guiding us through the drink options. Overall, we were impressed by the variety and unique offerings, and we definitely plan to return to try more items--especially the crepes.

My drink was made poorly and upon my complaint no apology was given , they also did not offer to…read moreremake it instead giving me snark . " tea is made actually with water so that explains why it's watery" she proceeded to hang up in my face and ignore any subsequent calls. you always reply , i'm not saying this to tear your business down, I work at an award winning coffee shop that's been featured in the Houston Chronicle and on KHOU 13, during my training I learned how to make all the drinks on our menu which is larger than your own and tasted them all. To imply I simply hadn't had one of the most common tea lattes is rude as you see I am a regular cafe goer. I have made hundreds of teas even london fogs with my own hands! Had complaints and remade drinks myself too. It is the way it was handled on the phone as someone who has worked in customer service for over 10 years , it was very disrespectful. Your going back and forth with me while I share my experience doesn't change that, I know water is in tea that's uncalled for , that doesn't mean this one isn't watery, every barista has rushed and not steeped tea long enough once I wasn't even mad . As for the emptiness of my cup before i went to throw it away, I poured tea out of my cup into 2oz sample cups when I got to my job to ask my coworkers opinion on the drink and if it was made wrong or if I was wrong BEFORE i called. mind you we sell tea, just not blueberry danishes... As a coffee shop employee , I see myself as fueling my patrons for their days and I never disrespect them when they tell me I didn't fulfill my duty properly sorry for thinking you'd do the same You're going to be mad i left this review but when i called, before I thought to review, I started by saying exactly this " I got a drink earlier a London fog and I think it wasn't steeped long enough the tea flavor is just kind of weak its tasting like milk water and syrup, just so the future teas can be better " I always call when an establishment messes up my orders and say the same thing and I'm never met with hostility until you guys, today. I didn't say anything rude or tone deaf and I wasn't yelling in the slightest. I respect cafe employees very much as I am one for 5 years now and I understand the struggles of the job. On the phone, that was hurtful and I got my drink remade off the principle that I paid 27.95$ for my stuff and I couldn't even get a simple sorry. I got the reply I mentioned earlier which upset me because I went out of my way to come spend at your shop when I spend my days making tea anyways, that entitles me to say what I bought from you. Even if you just google London fog and look at the color then look at this you can see it's off. This is me telling the full story since you feel I left something out, I left out that a room full of 5 coffee professionals one of whom being the owner of my shop said the drink was nasty and a waste of money before I called you. AND I wasn't asking for any money back or a new drink when I called. sorry for leaving that out.
